Can a lap steel guitar be built with 6 strings but be made so 2 additional strings can be added later? Thank you 🤓
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Each design takes into account what kind of parts and scale length of the instrument. Adding strings would make the head size bigger to add more keys, and wider to fit the wider bridge and pickups along with the extra strings. I like the idea though. 😁
