I bought the deer. It was lower mileage but had a huge dent. :-) The ///M3/4/5 is a great platform. With an s54, you'll have a lot of fun. The s52 has adequate torque but is severely lacking in HP in it's stock form. Good find.
Who knew this car is so popular. I purchased my M3/4/5 10 years ago and no one wanted them back then. I purchased with 80k for $8k. Today has 101k miles and i see listings for $20k! 🤩 car drives like a dream.
@@jacecariola891 Yes I do! Drives like it’s on rails. It’s a grocery runner, kids hauler, and spirited machine on the weekends. The S52 engine is extremely reliable and it’s so easy to work on this car. Amazing amazing value.
ok I'm back again it got recommended again haha ....that deal is crazy. I put more than $1500 into my '98 M3/4/5 last week just upkeeping some rubber and trim.. jeez.
I also paid $1,500 for my M3. A 1999 Estoril 5-Speed Coupe with 186K miles. The seller desperately needed the money. Bought another for $2,300 a 99 vert black manual same mileage. Anything under $3K with these is a steal.
My ‘97 M3 4/5 looks almost identical to this car. Mine is a southern car, so no rust anywhere. Wish I only paid that much for mine given how much I have put into it this past year...and still going.
Same here but I daily drive it and did drive in the snow for a few years. I’ve done all the work myself and have done quite a bit. New clutch, suspension, cooling system, new brakes, shifter rebuild, VCG, car drives like a dream!!
@@DonBMW I sold mine this past spring for quite a bit more than I paid for it. Miss that car and regret selling. I did not want to daily. I did daily my first E36 M3 back in 2004. Lived in Illinois at the time, so plenty of winter driving. Was a blast in the snow! Great that you can do the work. I did not, so the ownership costs were quite a bit higher. Enjoy it! I just saw a 1994 Euro spec E36 M3 with a good mileage sell for £24,000 .......good condition. That is over $26,000. This car is becoming a classic .... even the poor spec. USA version.
Willowbrook/ Burridge area! I know those roads haha. Bought one of many of my e36 m3s from there. It was 2k clean title 1 owner so your buddy had me beat.
Im so jealous. I have a full m50 intake swap ready to go ill cut a deal. Also tell him to hit the leather with some "doc bailey's leather black" and it will bring them seats back to life. I have a 97 328 that is my current project...but ive currently lost my job. I hate to even have to sell the intake set up
I'm am so looking forward to getting one of these. I have a older Camry but it's worth around 5k so I'm going to sell it for one. These e36's go from around 10k in my state. I am looking for a e345 so wish me luck lol. They are cheap but I can't find much listed right now.
In Germany a m3 cost like 20-30k in Good condition i bought an almost mint 323i e36 for 5k and that’s a steal in Germany Keep up the great work many greetings from Germany
In my country South Africa our currency is in Rands to get a beautiful M3 like this we would have to pay between 400k to 500k divide that by 16 to put it into dollars
One of my customers, like 2 year's ago offered me one of these exact cars for 1800. Probably could have gotten it for 1500. Forever gonna regret not buying it lmfao

wtf thats a crazy deal!! Looks cleaner than half of the ones i see for 7,000 on fb. If u want an e36 m3 id buy one sooner rather than later. The prices have been climbing.
Lol e36- 230ish and e46 is like 325. So yes u were on with about 100hp difference...just wrong directions. How bout the e36 sedan is LIGHTER than the coupe...and I'm think even better balanced

Hes going s54 anyway , so doesn’t need intake! Thank you though!
E36 M3 'are' pretty fast... but the S52 is weak on low end torque you need to live at 5k-7k like a lot of normally aspirated engines.
Did your blinker fluid run out? Your blinker was blinking pretty fast. Congrats for the nice purchase 👍

In South Africa all the M3 e36 have ITB and not a m52 intake so that sucks for the US models🤔💔
