  • Hanuman Jayanti is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Hanuman, considered one of the most powerful and famous deities in Hindu History. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the Shukla Paksha during the month of Chaitra, which usually falls in April or May.
    The origins of Hanuman Jayanti can be traced back to the epic Ramayana. Lord Hanuman played a significant role in helping Lord Rama rescue his wife, Goddess Sita, from the demon king Ravana. Lord Hanuman is believed to have possessed extraordinary strength, intelligence, and courage. He is revered for his selfless devotion and service to Lord Rama.
    Lord Hanuman was born to Anjana and Lord Kesari, who were two of the most devoted followers of Lord Shiva. And Lord Hanuman is considered the eleventh Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva.
    The celebration of Hanuman Jayanti varies from region to region in India. In some parts of the country, devotees observe a fast on this day, while in others, special pujas and prayers are offered to Lord Hanuman.
