Dwarika was swallowed by the sea not because of Gandhari's curse but because Dwarika was formed on land reclaimed by sea. Shri Krishna after fighting with Jarasandh for 17 times finally decided it's time to find peace & relocate their capital from Mathura. Thus Shri Krishna ordered Vishwakarma ji to find a suitable land & build a city. In pursuit of land, Bhagwan Vishwakarma requested Samudra dev to give him land for Shri Krishna's new city. Samudra dev complied with the assurance that once Shri Krishna would leave the earth, the entire land would be submerged & return back to the sea.
One can logically see your position but Krishna being God why did he accept the curse is beyond me. He could have asked Gandari do you know who you are talking to and further added than she will turn dumb from the movement.
@@alfredpullan1457 Good question. Do you know that Shri Krishna was an avatar i.e a human incarnation of God and as per rules of nature dictated by God, humans die after a certain period of time on earth.
To respect the rules he (God) himself created, Shri Krishna decided to leave his material body and his earthly possessions so he chose Gandhari as a medium to spell his self-plotted demise.
Gandhari was also Shri Krishna's bua (paternal aunt) by an extended relation, a devoted wife who is worshipped even by Gods, an elder & a motherly figure. To ensure the words uttered by such a pious & grieving woman do not go unfulfilled, Shri Krishna blessed the curse to come true & happily accepted it.

@@javiadkhaliq7549because these scriptures want us to learn that even if they're Gods, they have to bear the fruit of their karma if its wrong. They don't want us to blindly believe that Gods are perfect but want us to learn that every wrong deed done, has to be compensated, even if it were God Himself who'd done it.
And you can confirm this fact by checking the date of great catastrophe, the great flood that happened at the same time when lord Krishna left his body.. both time matches with each other
