Ive seen a few comments asking this so im going to address it. There are moments in this video where i have the mask on before i die. These were dead runs, where i knew there was no chance of surviving and just wanted to die. Having the mask be put on too late is slightly faster to die to then flipping the cans, and since i was in a call with people i put the mask on to naturally die if someone came into my room. BB is an anomaly in FNaF 2. He’s never mentioned by Phone Guy, he can’t be light stalled, and aside from his starting camera and the left vent, he has no camera renders. My theory is that BB was added very late in development, so Scott probably just didn’t make him able to be flashlight stalled
No no no, he didn't get added later, he's just an anomaly that no human being can comprehend and he doesn't follow the rules of time and space, hence why most people on the universe decide to ignore him. The only way to know he's there Is knowing he existed beforehand. Otherwise, you won't be able to see him

One thing about BB, is that he was likely intended to disable a minus 7-esque strat, as the disabling of animatronics by the flashlight is mentioned by phone guy and is likely intended to be used to keep the night less frantic. All of his mechanics specifically stop a strategy that involves using the flashlight, including his attack, which is literally just disabling the flashlight. I
I didn't think Scott intentionally created BB just to disable the stall, that strategy was made way after the game was released, at that time we maybe even don't know what is a movement opportunity, and while phone guy did mentioned flashlight can slow them down, most of the players only using the prize corner camera because Puppet. So it's more like "a coincidence" why BB can't be stalled. As BB looks pretty flawed like he didn't show on the camera other then it's spawn position or the vent, I probably think BB was going to be an easter egg like endo-02 but Scott desides to make him as an enemy.

I feel like Scott simply overestimated how much value players put on the flashlight, because I do think the idea that the game was designed around the flashlight being used to limit the chaos is very much what was running through Scott's mind. The problem is that 1) the game is very subtle about the fact that you can stall animatronics with the flashlight, and 2) the puppet is such an aggressive and all encompassing force that on later nights it's too much of a waste of time to go on a circuitous treasure hunt to flash animatronics. It honestly just boils down to poor game design.

To prevent BB from getting in you pull down the cameras before his next MO. Although it does seem like you need to eventually put the mask on to get rid of him. That being said, if he Golden Freddy does fully requires the mask to get rid of.

That doesn't help at all, minus 7 strat eliminates them completely but require more skill, balloon boy is still a problem no matter what you do, minus 3 actually makes it even harder because you also let the toy animatronics move

Watching for bonnie too so he doesnt lock the door.

I was very taken aback seeing how low those odds of BB never reaching the office are. So I decided to double check them for myself. The night lasts 7 minutes. Every single animatronic in this game has MO's every 5 seconds. Giving us 84 total MO's through the night. We can remove one at the start, giving us 83 MO's and 14 MO's every hour (excluding 12 AM where it's 13). BB takes 5 MO's to reach the left vent, meaning BB can only succeed 4 MO's or less to never reach the left vent. On Night 2, BB's AI starts at 0 and only goes to 3 at 1 AM, giving us 70 MO's at 15% chance of success. Using binomial distribution for n = 70, p = 0.15 and x
@@black_m1n825 2 things, one on night 3 bbs ai starts at 2 and goes up to 3 (also the fact the chance goes up made no sense) 2nd, in our math we didn't include the 4 opportunities it takes for bb to reach the vent. Im not a math expert, but I trust bones he obviously knows his stuff. The math for night 2 for example was (17/20)^68 (since he doesn't move on the first hour) we substituted the 0 to 20 chance in the equation so we could get the most accurate results. I may be wrong, but from experience bones math seems way more on the money
@@jerakaigamez For the Night 3 AI that may be an issue on my part, I tried to find the FNAF 2 AI levels on the internet and everywhere I looked it said starts at 1 and goes to 2 at 1 AM. If it really is inaccurate then skill issue for me. As for the math it now makes much more sense for it being for BB never moving at all. I still don't exactly get where 68 MO's came from instead of 70 tho. However the video did mention that it was a chance of BB never reaching the office, which is now a bit misleading as instead it was a chance of BB never moving. Which yes, BB never moving does satisfy never reaching the office, it's only a part of it. We would have to include the 4 successful MO's we can spare while still not reaching the office. Which is where my math comes in.
@@jerakaigamez Balloon Boy is the sole reason my first ever playthrough of FNAF2 wasn't a perfect run. I got to Night 5 and made it to 4am. Balloon Boy got in. Six animatronics tagteamed together (BB, Withered Bonnie, Withered Chica, Withered Foxy, Puppet, and ultimately Toy Chica finished it) to stop my perfect run. I absolutely hate Balloon Boy so much. He's such a genuine pain. Foxy and Puppet are annoying but necessary because they stop you from coasting through the game too easily, whereas Balloon Boy is just a pest for absolutely no reason

I was very taken aback seeing how low those odds of BB never reaching the office are. So I decided to double check them for myself. The night lasts 7 minutes. Every single animatronic in this game has MO's every 5 seconds. Giving us 84 total MO's through the night. We can remove one at the start, giving us 83 MO's and 14 MO's every hour (excluding 12 AM where it's 13). BB takes 5 MO's to reach the left vent, meaning BB can only succeed 4 MO's or less to never reach the left vent.
On Night 2, BB's AI starts at 0 and only goes to 3 at 1 AM, giving us 70 MO's at 15% chance of success. Using binomial distribution for n = 70, p = 0.15 and x
@@black_m1n825 2 things, one on night 3 bbs ai starts at 2 and goes up to 3 (also the fact the chance goes up made no sense) 2nd, in our math we didn't include the 4 opportunities it takes for bb to reach the vent. Im not a math expert, but I trust bones he obviously knows his stuff. The math for night 2 for example was (17/20)^68 (since he doesn't move on the first hour) we substituted the 0 to 20 chance in the equation so we could get the most accurate results. I may be wrong, but from experience bones math seems way more on the money
@@jerakaigamez For the Night 3 AI that may be an issue on my part, I tried to find the FNAF 2 AI levels on the internet and everywhere I looked it said starts at 1 and goes to 2 at 1 AM. If it really is inaccurate then skill issue for me.
As for the math it now makes much more sense for it being for BB never moving at all. I still don't exactly get where 68 MO's came from instead of 70 tho. However the video did mention that it was a chance of BB never reaching the office, which is now a bit misleading as instead it was a chance of BB never moving. Which yes, BB never moving does satisfy never reaching the office, it's only a part of it. We would have to include the 4 successful MO's we can spare while still not reaching the office. Which is where my math comes in.
TBH im still not sure (math is my weakest point), id be curious to see if someone can beat it. Night 4 is probably possible. NIght 5 i dont know

@@jerakaigamez Balloon Boy is the sole reason my first ever playthrough of FNAF2 wasn't a perfect run. I got to Night 5 and made it to 4am. Balloon Boy got in. Six animatronics tagteamed together (BB, Withered Bonnie, Withered Chica, Withered Foxy, Puppet, and ultimately Toy Chica finished it) to stop my perfect run. I absolutely hate Balloon Boy so much. He's such a genuine pain. Foxy and Puppet are annoying but necessary because they stop you from coasting through the game too easily, whereas Balloon Boy is just a pest for absolutely no reason

Unfortunely, on night 4 she doesnt move and night 5 her AI isnt high enough to get to the vent before BB
Also i think BB takes priority in the vent and can push past others though im not too sure
