- Take a complete video tour of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. In this video we start outside the ride and enter the queue and walk into the lobby, watch the pre show, ride the entire ride from the front row, and exit the ride and go through the gift shop.

favorite ride ever! One time when my parents and I got off we said we were going to ride it again right away and the cast member overheard and took us up a back way to go on again without waiting! It was awesome

Will Davis so true! Yet they also use a scream affect. But there are still both real and fake. The ones you hear from across the park are the peoples while they are falling the open windows allow you to hear them scream.

I remember when I was 10 when I rode this, tears just nothing but tears.
I got over my fear of drop towers and have been terrified of this. Today is my day. I will ride this, take a freaking picture of mysf when the ride drops and hopefully not cry ( this time )
When I go, usually in November, the wait time is very little, maybe 20 minutes at most. I always get picked to measure the wait times so that's a fun experience. This ride, I would say, is my favorite in all the parks, not just because of the thrill, but also because of the atmosphere, visually and mentally. I love the creepy music and the overgrown gardens. I love seeing all the little references to the Twilight Zone. I enjoy when the lightning zaps and the TV "magically" comes on, and at the end of Rod Serling's dialogue, everyone repeats loudly.. "THE TWILIGHT ZONE!" I love that pumped feeling you get when you go down to the boiler room, like it's a unique experience only for you. I love the ghost effects. And the drops are spectacular. Not to be missed attraction! 10/10

I'm not a drop person, so when I went on it for the first time at the age of 9, it's been several years and I haven't rode on it ever since then.
I agree, it is very scary. Although I go on it, I was too scared to go until I was 13
When I was about four me and my family went to disney world and all the adults went on the ride and I followed them because my older brother and older cousin wouldn't go on it so I went on it... I was crying the whole way through (remembering that I am 4) and when they go off my dad wanted to go on and i thought let's go on again... STUPID YOUNGER ME!

Chao Flaka I rode it when I was 14. My dad told us it was just optical illusions that make you think that your falling. If I would’ve known that he was lying I wouldn’t have rode.
Disney Fan, didn’t you see the massive tower in front of you, where you can see the lifts going down(when the doors are open), all the while people are screaming?
I remember enjoying this ride, seeing Blizzard Beach from the top, and when the ghosts showed up, beckoning the audience to "come play with us, Danny" as the The Shining puts it...that was the one scary moment in the ride.
quite often this has a short line, parks are designed to be walked round clockwise, if you go to this in the morning, most people are still making their way round to it.
Rock N Roller coaster being the hardest ride there always has a 30min+ line
Soarin always has a big line because its a very good ride for families.
At 5:45, that's the brief moment of "this was a bad idea" that goes through everyone's head lol
the first time i went to disney i was 6 yrs old and was luckily tall enough to go on the ride and this was actually the first park and ride i went on. its still my favorite 17 years laters
I first rode this when I was about five or six years old... went back to disney world twice after that, have yet to brave it again.

I rode this for the first time when I was 7 and loved it!! I wasn't really scared at all and rode again for the second time after that. I'm 16 now and want to go back so much!! Haha this video brings back so many memories!!:)

I remember being petrified when I first rode the Tower of Terror at Disneyland Paris but I came off the ride so excited to go back on! Cannot wait to ride this one in Florida!

My magic band managed to pop off my wrist on this ride.. For a brief moment it hovered in front of me before I lost sight of it.. It ended up in someone's lap haha
I was so close to wimping on that ride, I went on it thanks to dad giving me no choice! I hate rides but I really recommend this ride, it's so fun!
I remember when I rode that ride for the first time, it was a hilarious experience. I screamed when we were watching the film movie thing in that room & I screamed even louder when we were going on the actual ride. I also panicked because I couldn't get the seat belt on😂,
First time my daughter went on this she was 5. Explained to her as much as we could what it was about. Wasn't sure how'd she react. We got off and she wanted to go on it over and over again. Ever since then, she's had no fear of any rides of any kind.

good stuff, I think I was 9 my first time and now that im 22, I still believe it to be one of Disney's best rides.

I went on this ride over 10 years ago and I remember enjoying it, but now I'm afraid to go back on it!
This one is a longer ride experience with more drops than the one at California Adventures. Also, this one actually forward unlike the one in DCA which only moves vertically. This one looks much more fun!

It really isn't that bad I was sooo scared up until 2 years ago to do it, and I finally gave in and now its my favorite ride ever! if your scared on the drop the have handlebars on the side to hold on to which was was I did the first few times.. but now I throw my hands up as im falling. SO AMAZING!! Just do it!!!

I have always hoped that they would replace the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular at Hollywood Studios with this ride! I bet it's fantastic...I hope they do bring it to WDW some day.

I when I went on the ride I clamped my teeth, gripped the handles on the side of the seat so hard and never let go until the ride was over! It was pretty cool, but I can't wait til avatarland comes out in 2017. Whoop whoop!

When I went, we only went up to the windows once and it dropped immediately so I didn't get a good view, all the rest of the drops were really high but didn't go up to the window

I was 9 when i went on to show my brother up i learned my lesson cause wen it was over i was breathing heavy and my legs were shaking fast but it was still fun
A lot of people feel intimidated by this ride, but in reality it doesn't drop as fast as you might think its not very scary but it's hella fun
When I was at the one in Orlando this past June, some girls in the room screamed when the lights went out, lol.

Hold up, is this thw same ride i rode as a child? Wow as children we have such vivid imaginations. The way we remeber is amazing. Lol i was around 8-10 when i first rode this. As i watched i knew that the lights would go off in the beginning, i forgot the video but in my experience, there was a bell hoy in that room with us. Now that I watched the ride. I remeber going up and down, and that walk to get on the ride. But i do not recall that being the whole ride. Mines felt like we went to different floors and on these floor we would move forwards (must've been a screen). I remeber riding through like a hunted house. Everyone was screaming. I am beginning to question my entire childhood memories, due to how inaccurate i was about the experience.
You do move forward and onto a different floor in the ride, you just can't tell on the video.

actually the entire ride is a computer program. its completely randomized to keep it interesting. the number of drops changes every ride, so you never get the same ride twice.
I rode this yesterday because I was at my cousins birthday. I'm warning u this ride is so scary omg I past out on the ride for real not lieing
Last time I went on tower of terror was in Cali but I cried because of the 'ghosts' in the mirror.

To be honest there wasnt many rides at MGM Studios it was mostly shows they had, but this ride was awesome, ive always thought tower of terror would of been built at Universal studios not MGM
This ride is very scary it's not really intense just the feeling of suspense and its Disney also hahah
this is the original tower of terror im in California the one out here opened up in 2004 they made it only one shaft eliminating the 5th deminsion part if the story but that part was replaced with the wave goodbye room then u go down to the hallway sequnce after that the ride sequnce starts sadly its being converted to a marvel back story

on rides like this I laugh like a freakin' maniac out of fear, for some reason I don't scream.
If your wondering if its a scary ride, its the anticipation. I was scared out of my mind (age 13, turning 14 may) and honestly, after the first drop or two, it feels more like zero G's and in the picture everyone was posing, no screamers caught. ***Spoiler*** you look at one hallway, then go to another, go forward, and drop!
On this ride it's actually less scary if you put your hands up. Me and my brother did a experiment with this. We rode it 6 times... 3 times with arms down and 3 times with arms up. It was not as scary and way better. Btw these two were on different days.
I first rode this ride when I was five or six. I remember I felt like I was going to fall out. My mom said she was holding me down with one arm and holding on with the other.

Finally, a video that doesn't have a bunch of douche bags incessantly talking and yelling over the narration of the ride or preshow. My heavens, those types of videos are annoying, at no fault of their poster.

I went on this ride when I as 6!! So scary
Its great. But there really is no need to wait for anything. Just use fastpass. I would say it is worth a 2 hour wait though.
Not true, when We was there we heard a group ask if they could "go easy" on em so they put them in a different life, also if you go on when there is a very long que, you will only go up and down maybe once or twice...go on it when there is no que and they go bonkers on you :-)
I still haven't got the guts to ride this thing, even though I'm a die-hard Twilight Zone fan! I'm not a fan of freefalling, though. I know they change it up each time someone rides, so you never get the same experience each time you ride. Do they still take pictures of you at the top? What do they have in the gift shop? Of course, I have a sick sense of humor as a blind person, so I can't help it when someone asks me how I ride some rides. I tell them "I don't look!"
I remember when this park was called MGM studios
I ask my sister, "Would you go on Tower of Terror?" She looks at me and says, "I went on Drop of Doom." "Its REALLY big. 200 feet!!" she replies, "Drop of Doom is 400 feet high."
I HATE THIS RIDE TO MY SOUL!! IT FRWAKED ME OUT WHEN I WAS ON YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN MY FACE!
