The scent trail does not go from layton its so sweet and elegant the nose and brain gets used to the smell but people around you can still smell it. Its happened to me also laytons the 👑
Great videos btw. I bought layton because of your video and other reviewers blind. Something very Odd that only ONE other youtube reviewer mentioned after i bought it unfortunately. So I tried layton 2 days in a row. Office full of women/nurses. 5 sprays. day 1 nobody noticed that I had cologne after 4 hours. The next day 7-10 sprays. neck, collar on my shirt and chest. I sprayed it on at 730am got into work around 830-9. multiple compliments. I was so excited I finally might have found the one daily. BUT by the time the 5 hour mark comes around 12-1230pm one of my nurses walks into my office and tells me my office smells like an old musk/aftershave her grand dad wears. She said "I hope that cologne wasn't expensive" I said No way. I called in another co worker- later she said your office smells sort of musky woodsy. Today I come across a youtuber named "scentscavanger" and hes the only one that talks about the pungent musk/wood smell after the dry down. ITS VERY STRANGE. NOBODY ELSE has said anything about the dry down. This is at best 2-3 hour date night cologne then wash off ASAP.
Great review. So which would you prefer if you could only have one. Layton or Exclusif? I only own Exclusive and I have never got my nose on Layton. I’m curious about Layton. Do you think it’s redundant to own both? Sounds like Exclusive has more longevity.
You must get nose blind to this as I can smell this heavily on myself for almost 24hrs. It never disappears I also don’t get any citrus. For me it’s very linear with the sweet vanilla and spices. I also pick up a pretty string menthol note that is there until I wash it off

Bought a brand new bottle of the 2023 PDM Layton. It smells like cheap menthol shower gel. NOT recommended. I wouldn't pay $20 for it, let alone the high price PDM demands. I have triple checked that it Is a real PDM Layton, and it is 100% authenticated. But i also went to a store and sprayed a tester bottle and my bottle side by side to compare. Mine is All menthol, the tester one was a better blend (but still not as good as the old 78% alcohol version). I'm hoping it's a bad batch, but i've seen a lot of people having the same issue. (Batch nr: 3323044. Production date: 2023-08-07).
Layton is the most versatile of the 3 you mentioned. And the one that most people enjoy on me. Pegasus is amazing but a bit more "limited" since it's so almond heavy and Kalan.. Has not really impressed me that much.. Yet :) I´d go for Layton first, dip your toes in the Parfums De Marly waters and if you like it and want an almond focused perfume, go for pegasus :) That's how I would do it but everyones noses are different. Let me know what you decide upon and how you feel about it when you get it! :)

You might not enjoy it. The ones you currently have are all (except D&G the one which is a bit deeper in character) a bit on the sort of lighter and "non offensive" kind of side of things.. Why not go for any of the other parfums de marly fragrances or dip your toes into the initio waters with one of their perfumes if you want a niche perfume that smells fantastic? 😊

@@rottenrebels nothing hahah, but every one in fragcomm loves it, but every time they get random girls to smell it, they say it smells weird/grandma. It could be they are smelling the opening. Also i think they should’ve colored the bottle mint green instead of blue. Doesn’t smell blue

Hi! Bought my latest bottle in 2019 I think. Layton has never been "beast mode" and I usually spray quite a bit. No idea if juice produced in 2021 is less potent.. Hard to believe why they would do that to one of their best selling perfumes though.

I love Layton and Pegasus and had samples from both and I had complements for both more from Pegasus than Layton if I have to buy one bottle what I should buy Layton for I love the scent more or Pegasus for actually complements more 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂

The brands obviously produce the fragrance and the packaging long before the official release for logistical reason and drop on the market without delays and be ahead wird the production. With some brands the year can also stand for when it was registered or since when the distributor launched/owns the brands.
There are so many ways to compare scents! So If we are talking about "better" in terms of compliments, then CDNIM beats this. But Layton is an epic compliment getter for sure and has always been one of my top compliment getters. One thing to take into consideration though is that I've used CDNIM more. 😊 Scentwise though.. I think Layton is better. I truly love CDNIM and the latest Limited edition brings the smoothest version yet. But Layton is a more well-made scent with better quality ingredients for sure.
It's so hard to talk about the amount of sprays since everyones skin is different.. But what works FOR ME is about 5-8 sprays. I think that works perfectly in the gym. Don't forget that the scent will radiate more when you get warm in the gym, so it's usually a smart thing to spray a little less 😊 Unless it's a really weak fragrance of course 😉

Is this a 2021 batch code or is it pre formulation. Because I have heard people say it's quite watered down.
