Good and Cheap meals! Gifting cookbooks is a great idea. I usually give books…it’s a wonderful gift to both receive and give. You look lovely and a wonderful video. PS. Nice slippers. PSS. My low cost presents are usually potted plants, some books or something I find at sales or thrift stores that I know someone would love to have. I love any present, but for the last two years, I have requested perfume from my kids or husband. I also love jewelery.
Lynn, hi! Hope you are having a wonderful week. Loved reading this. I LOVE. A plant as a gift… and everything you’ve mentioned here. Lovely. A card is on the way but I hope you have a marvelous holiday. XO.
Amy♥️ Love these ideas!!! The jewelry is beautiful, so I’m definitely going to check out their site. You have such a gift of being present and really showing true appreciation for something. It shows in every video, but also through your heartfelt thoughts regarding whatever it is you’re describing. I got an Amazon gift card for Christmas, so I’m definitely going to pick up a copy of Good and Cheap. I’m excited! Those J Crew slippers look amazing! I need to look for them at my outlet. Thank you for sharing♥️ PS-LOVE your tree!
Aw, this is so uplifting to read! Thank you for the kind words about my tree. I have collected vintage ornaments for 35 years )on the cheap + from family) and they are a source of pride + great memories). How is your holiday season so far? I have had a nice balance of cooking + hosting family, a little work, and a little relaxation. Love to you!
Aw! So cool! Having memories tied to things makes them even more special. Balance is key during the holidays, especially. It can be such a hard time of year. I’m glad you had a wonderful holiday season♥️
I love these gift ideas. I like handmade gifts as well. As a soap maker I often gift soaps in scents that the recipient loves and I can make matching bath salts to go with them. I also give perfumes so the whole family smells great and it’s often times ones they won’t buy themselves due to the cost… I ordered the book Good & Cheap after watching this video the day you posted it and it arrived today so it will be fun to explore the various recipes… I really enjoyed these videos ❤the tree behind you goes great with your shirt!
That is the most thoughtful (and artistic) gift… soaps + bath salts to match scents… wow! So thrilled to learn that you got “Good And Cheap.” I think my favorite recipe is for the chocolate muffins but it is always changing. ;)
One of my favorite cookbooks isn’t really a cookbook but more of a book to inspire culinary creativity. A few years ago my sister gave me The Flavor Bible by Karen Page and Andrew Dornenburg. It’s basically a reference guide to flavors and ingredients. The authors list an ingredient and then list a ton of flavors that go with it. I use The Flavor Bible constantly for inspiration.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas. You are so thoughtful, caring and creative. You're the best. So glad you're back and feeling better.
You are the best! Thank you for your kind words and care overall. XO.
Those are fantastic, fun, creative ideas!!
Thanks so much! 😊 so nice to read.
This was so nice to watch. Loved the no "cost" gift ideas! So inspirational...thank you for sharing them with us!
Donna, wonderful to see you! Thank you for your encouragement + friendship overall. All the best to you! XO, Amy
