      How to understand the meaning of it?

    • @aggsar4411
      @aggsar4411 5 років тому +90

      @@LOLasdasdxcasfcsddsf People generally tend to rationalize their shortcomings which means we often make excuses for our behaviour and find reasonable reasons to justify flaws to keep repeating the same patterns even if we deep down know it's holding us back. This is basically a psychological mechanism of "lying to ourselves" because there is safety in mechanical repeating of our behaviour even if it's against us. To be successful we need to see what's holding you back and to see what's holding us back means stopping all excuses and justifications and seeing what's the issue at hand is, clearly.
      This is in line with his other quote "Only the disciplined ones are free, if you are undisciplined , you are a slave to your moods". Think about the times we set out to achieve a goal but along the way either we quit or we find other things to distract us or postpone it and say "it's ok i will do it tomorrow". This is not only lack of discipline but also a form of lying to ourself. Instead of telling to ourself "i made a commitment to further my goal and i didn't uphold it today" we find a way to avoid that truth by saying "it's ok i will do it tomorrow".
      The subject of rationalization is fascinating en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rationalization_(psychology) and if we use an example of that page what is recognizable (cause we ve all said something similar) Lets take this example
      Rationalization can be used to avoid admitting disappointment: "I didn't get the job that I applied for, but I really didn't want it in the first place."
      This is a way we lie to ourselves to avoid asking the questions that matter and the questions that would lead to further success. -Why was i rejected? -Is there something i should do to improve? -Am i ready? Answering this questions truthfully instead of lying to yourself is simply the only way to succeed but the fact that we many times care to avoid disappointment rather than face the truth leads us to lying to ourselves and in the process locks us in a place where there can be no progress towards success.
      That's basically how i see what he said here.
      "Never lie to yourself leads to success because the only thing holding you back is the lies we tell to not address our flaws"

      Kuiqy you can’t have pacemakers and a pace car as well as he also just got lucky with the weather. Some people were also questioning the shoes but that seems dumb they’re just shoes

    Dios te ha bendecido Eliud Kipchoge, les ha dado a ustedes, del continente africano, un talento sin igual. Aunque sean en un modo una raza muy castigada, pero el Eterno es justo y sabe retribuir con creces, para que el hombre explote su máximo potencial. Lo que lleva dentro. En este caso el atletismo.
