This one is a gem. Great graphics, killer soundtrack and amazing presentation makes me wish it got a home port on 32 bit consoles like on the Saturn or Playstation.
Lucky you! I never played this game at all! Because it was nowhere to be found in my local arcade! But from what I have seen from UA-cam videos, Violent Storm looks like a pretty solid game! And I regret missing out on it! You are truly blessed to have played this game, my friend.
This is an incredible game. I think this is WAY better than Renegade, Streets of Rage and Final Fight. It's so high quality its astounding. The gameplay, soundtrack, varied attacks and grapples, animations, enemy designs and voice quality is exceptional. I can see why its gotten a huge amount of attention over the years and why it appears on the best beat em up games lists. This should have got a home port or even a sequel. It could have sold millions of copies. Fantastic playthrough!
This game is a real masterpiece. Its strange, stupid characters, great animation, wonderfully colored with a vocal soundtrack. This one stands out there from the rest. Fantastic.
This game is honestly perfect in the graphics and music department. I think the biggest sin is that we never got to see a sequel with even more ridiculous characters and scenerios with the same awesome graphics and music.
I love the setting and how colourful and positive the atmosphere is even there has been a world war. If this this would be made today it would have much darker tone or making a some sort of statement / anti-something message. In 90s things were just fun and easy.
I know this game came out in 1993. But sadly, this is a game I didn't know about until MANY YEARS LATER. I first heard of this game in 2008. But it wasn't until JUST NOW when I finally got to play this game! And its fantastic! I enjoyed every moment of it! I'm SO GLAD I finally got to play this game!
This is by far my favorite game of my childhood. Use to go to the bowling alley every weekend as my father was on leagues. I have beat this game many times, many of them with only one quarter. It never got old to play. Second place was Lethal Enforcers. This cabinet had the metal guns, not the cheap plastic garbage. I can only imagine what it is worth now.
I played this game for the first time when I was 9 years old on 1996. Back then there were four places to play this, but only one was playable with 3 players, it was in the cinema. this is the best arcade game, the atmosphere is similar to the situation at that time, drums filled with burning garbage, wild graffiti, the eyes of the assholes in the alleys, the music on stage 4 really describes the gripping night streets full of street crimes. 90's blues rock and rap. My favorite move : ↘️+jump, jump, attack or attack+⬇️ On kyle : ↘️+jump, jump, attack or attack+⬅️ Mostly it set on hard level, so the enemies is so aggresive, we play it like mustapha on caddillacs and dinosaurs.
I remember, maybe 25 years ago me and my cousin spent the entire summer playing this game, actually we spent half time plaiyng and the other half asking our grandma for money...
Yeah this game is good but it's not serious like Final Fight but it is it's got good game play for sure though. A couple stages have actual good music on it. I love the huge Graphics though of Violent Storm
Its funny how in the demo, Wade makes great progress. But Kyle and Boris plow through some of the enemies, and then they just stand there and let the enemies beat them down.
Gotta love this game. A fun parody of all the classic "my gf got kidnapped let's get her back" beat em ups with a fun soundtrack and one of the best visuals and sfx in a sidescroller
If you leave the bosses at critical health, they have a gimmick if you let them live. Dabel will smash the ground and drop items from the ceiling nonstop. Mr. Julius will make different poses.
Drigger - the 3rd boss was always the hardest boss for me. Julius always made me laugh! I thought that the dancing girl was Chun-li from Street Fighter. ;)
Never seen this in the arcade as a kid growing up in the 90's. If I did I would have wasted so many of my Brother-In-Law's money. Sidenote, whoever wrote the lyrics for the music in stage 3 never listened to rap before. You're actually supposed to rhyme lol.

So after trying it out I loved it even after I beat it where a bunch of kids including Other Preteens and Teenagers besides those Two Brothers who already played it form a crowd to watch me play it full-on and even cheered for me from beating The Final Boss and Fully Won The Game by playing as Boris despite I continued 4 Times though I placed in 1st Place on The High Score List and yes they even started to play it after me also, plus I still have it for my Emulator Collection via MAME on my Laptop Computer (True Story!) Oh and it’s also listed on my Top Favorite Video Games List where it’s placed in 2nd Place!!! Another True Story Fact as well.

Or even violent storm on
Genesis 32X Cartridge port
It runs great on Playstation Classic. Thanks to Retroarch!
Never heard of this game.. but looks like a rip off from Final Fight
Keep an eye on Arcade Archives by Hamster, available on most consoles.
@@eeiko321 mix between final fight and burning fight, which in essence, it’s all the same.
I used to play this when I was 10...now I'm 34 and its bringing back some awesome memories. Great gameplay.
@KTV 4U You can say that again.

WOW this game is so hype! I love how he defeated the first boss, and the boss was laying on the ground frothing at the mouth having a seizure.
Gosh I remember playing this in 93 and the innocent age of 12. Loved it. Really appreciate the upload, thank you 👌🏾
Glad you enjoyed it
What an awesome brawler beat 'em up. I never knew it existed. Over the top soundtrack and Wade has no chill, he looks constantly pissed!
You be pissed to if your groceries was snatched by a biker.
Absolutely outstanding soundtrack, this is Konami at their best.
Are you flying?

The pigs turn into footballs lol
well, footballs are often called "pigskins"
Haha the kick at 3:55 went PERFECTLY with the music!

Wow! TY for playing this!!! Haha the soundtrack is amazing! never heard of this one. Going to play this for sure.
I don't think I've ever seen this one, but that flying butt attack is amazing.
Also, Boris is the most "90's" character design ever.
Spiked suspenders are a must if you're going to portray that ultra-radical 90's flair. 😆
he is my main, i love spamming his roll attack
I remember, maybe 25 years ago me and my cousin spent the entire summer playing this game, actually we spent half time plaiyng and the other half asking our grandma for money...
Never saw this one in the arcades back then. Competent Final Fight clone and over the top soundtrack. Great longplay as usual. Thanx !
It looks like that..
this game is my favorite Beat Em Up and hold Crown 29 years.
I play this nostalgic game in mall arcades in 90s...thanks for bringing memories...
Getting some hilariously strong Hokuto No Ken vibes from this game XD
First ever arcade beat em up i see that has background music with lyrics
An underrated but awesome game! Absolute classic!
I reaally like the feature the heavier dude the more difficult to throw him. This is so logic...
came out during the tailend of the arcade era and it is a hidden gem that needs a release on home.
Arcade archives I know

Konami’s Final Fight, imitation is the best form of flattery.

Well for both final bosses in each arcade beat em up games I think Geld as shared the same defeat as the Shredder in Turtles in Time
This game is addicting
The food that you pick up on the stages reminds me of the Streets of Rage series on Genesis.
you mean final fight?
The soundtrack is funny. 😊
Why all that era similar combat games have a similar story of a blonde girlfriend/ wife being kidnapped?! Then you need to fight to get her back
Not bad for a ‘90s arcade.
Damn ! why I never saw this game ?! nice discovery !
It kind of looks like it could be a reskin of Final Fight. Boris looks and moves like Haggar.
What a great soundtrack!
I remember beating this game on one coin, I played Boris. There is method to beat every boss except Julius and final guy.
boss music feels like playing TMNT
Crossbones reminds me of Beavis. :)
Final boss line is hilarious
Final Fight in disguise.
This is where Leon Kennedy worked before RCPD
That rap artist on the soundtrack sounds better than 50¢!
And again god background
So much violence, this will not end well
Reminds me of Final Fight, the Punisher, Cadillacs Dinosaurs and Captain Command
That's músic!! 🤩
