I'm from a non-native English speaking country. I really wanted to check the opinion of a native speaker of English. Her American English accent sounds perfect to my ears, but because I'm not a native speaker of English, I was not really sure about that and was waiting for the opinion of an American native speaker of English. She is a good inspiration for me in my English learning journey.

Oh gosh. She is not a native English speaker? I heard something like pronunciation a little bit strange when I'm watching this video, but she speaks so fluently and i subscirbe her. If it is like what you said, she might have been staying in US for a long time.

Actually, all your suggestions and strategies are absolutely fantastic because the first advice "why are you learning English?" is definitely what I firstly asked myself throughout the way I learned English. I answered the question "I want to have smooth and natural conversations with foreigners." Now I have been much more engaged in English than I have ever had. If we love English, we are more interested in having more and more vocabularies and expressions.

    1. Systemized
    2. Total immersion
    3. Combined
    4. Passive learning
For the past 5 years, I've been using all 4 methods for learning French! I mostly study on my own.
I also have my own methods but I don't really know how to call them. Method 5 below seems like a combination of all of the above 4 methods. Maybe...
    5. Fun-Play-Work Balance Method
Method 6 is a new one I'm recently looking in:
    6. Colourful 7 Times Repetition Method
Quite hard to explain; it'd need a essay!

    • @clavierpixelkey650
      @clavierpixelkey650 3 роки тому +1

      Okay! Short version:
      5. Fun-Play-Work Balance Method
Basically I adjust how much fun I'm having while studying hard and making sure it's still effective and not too difficult.
      6. Colourful 7 Times Repetition Method
New method I'm currently testing. It's a way to make sure new vocabulary stays in the head. It is inspired by spaced repetition systems and Anki flashcards.

Thanks Anna for this wonderful video, I'm gonna pass it along to my students, because sometimes they think in 2 or 3 months having a class twice a week is enough, and I encourage them to do things on their own the rest of the days but for some reason they think is magic, it took me almost 9 years of daily practice and sweat and tears, now is easier because we have youtube, that's amazing what you're doing.

I think what I love the most of this video is the richness of vocabulary and expressions used in it. I understood the major part of the speech the first time, but the following times I did the shadowing technique to see whether I could catch up the pace (some parts are still quite fast to me, I must admit :P). Excellent for practice, just as the message given here to meet that purpose! :D

Thank you so much. This video was a great motivation to keep me up. I have been doing all this things for almost 4 months(except for speaking and writing I just started praticing these two one month ago). It has been difficult and sometimes I get frustated because I am speaking like a child or even I can't expresss my ideas as I would like to do but ok I will keep doing that day after day.

Он скрипит. Если мы говорим именно про голос а не способность говорить на английском.
Чтоб не скрипел голос (надеюсь что достаточно взрослые люди читают ) ,нужно регулярно оргазмировать. Это как смазка для горла. Скрипучес пройдет.
