Number 2, the Glen Elgin, was my favorite. My journey has taken me from Sherry to Peat, and now finally to seeking out more malt forward presentations. I have started to finally pick out the nuance in barrel, distillation, yeast, fermentation, etc.. Peat/Cask finishing can't mask the flaws. The 32 yo Dewars half bottle, and this Myths & Legends Number 2 are great examples of rich malt noses and palates. Also, Deanston and Glen Scotia.
Thanks Scott! I enjoyed this so much I'm starting a little project of blending loosely using some of the proportions from the different Myths and Legends--starting with 18 & 21 yo Balblair.
Great video. I just got my bottles of all three. I thought number 1 would be my favorite but three is coming out on top after a few tastings. I can't wait for more Patreon videos!
Glad you allowed us unwashed masses on youtube a chance to watch... haha. I picked these 3 up myself when they came out. Haven't opened yet because I have too many bottles already open. Thanks much for the preview.
I've seen 2 and 3 on the shelves for a while in Houston. Can't bring myself to spend the money on these since I'd want the whole set if I was going to buy them. I do have rogue's banquet and no name #2 currently.
You made me curious with this Compass Box. I had 3 bottles on my list this month : Jameson Limited Reserve 18 YO Bunnahabhain 18 YO Longrow 18 YO Should I change my list, and go for this trilogy?
I'm interested to try some balblair after all the rave reviews that Ralfy gives that distillery. Too bad it's nowhere to be found in KS. Nice review Scott

great comment, thanks Sean. I just sat down with #1 and #12 last night, both delicious
Scott - I’ve been watching you guys from nearly the beginning. You’ve come a long way man, kudos. Great video, very informative and entertaining.

excellent, thanks Alan!
You can never go wrong with CB, with any of their bottles. Solid blends and single malts!!!
indeed sorin
I really like these. Just bought 2nd round of bottles 2 days ago
Love the quick reviews Scott.
thanks Jeff
Excited to hear what you think of these 3 bottles.
I have been saving up for these 3 since I heard about them. Number 1 sounds like my wheelhouse.
i about said it could be my favorite, but i need to spend some more time with them.

i'm spending more time with them but initially i think 1 was my fav.
I have been thinking about picking up these bottles. Thank you for your review!
thank you Art.
Just ordered my set! Thanks for the video!
thanks Nose2Finish!

thank you Jessie!
Yes like the advanced quick hitter idea.
thanks Captain!
Compass box is the Blood oath and orphan barrel project of the scotch world. It’s a big Where’s Waldo of scotch.
Definitely!

good two to have, these are pricey for set.
Great Review
Thanks
this got my confused for a second, pretty sure i've seen it before :)
slainte scott you mythical legend!
deja vu!
Scott what are your favorite compass box whiskies?
man thats a tough one...I have really enjoyed Not a Luxury Whisky and Delilahs XXV anniversary.
You made me curious with this Compass Box.
I had 3 bottles on my list this month :
Jameson Limited Reserve 18 YO
Bunnahabhain 18 YO
Longrow 18 YO
Should I change my list, and go for this trilogy?
thats a nice list. I would only change it if you've had other Compass Box and enjoyed them.
I'm interested to try some balblair after all the rave reviews that Ralfy gives that distillery. Too bad it's nowhere to be found in KS. Nice review Scott
i think i'v seen a bottle here and there but not too many.
"We gonna test ittttt!!!!!"
Man, I just can’t decide whether or not to pull the trigger on this trilogy. I couldn’t just purchase 1 of them so it’s a $750.00CAD commitment. 🤷♂️
i agree on not just purchasing one but $750 is getting pricey.
I got 2 of each! This s*** better go up in value!
exactly!
@@ScotchTestDummies hope you guys had a great 4th.

Not sure current costs and we recommend sipping rather then holding for investment.
I might get to pick up one of these tomorrow, and this did not help me narrow down which one to get. XD
buy all 3!
They mixed up the bottle numbers on 2 and 3, the marketing is right.
thanks YoJimBo
