- In this video I share my experience as a Full-Time Gig Driver over the past 365 days. Get out there, make some money, and shoot for the the staaaaaars aim for the MOOOOON!
All the best,
Eli
#doordash #fooddelivery #gigeconomy
I also live near Minneapolis and I just started dashing full time, doing shipt, and Uber eats and it is so worth it. It’s super nice to be watching someone else do the same things in the same market as me because it only brings me motivation:)
HECK YEAH 612 gang
$54k as a delivery driver is outstanding. Killing it. I did $65k last year as a part time Uber and Lyft driver with some delivery mixed in. All depends on the market. Delivery is so much harder to make big money like you do as well. It's a grind. During the early stages of the pandemic I did delivery for a year and didn't even crack $40k so much respect eli!
Preciate kind words gang 🙏 keep grinding
im fixing to come up on my 1 year fulltime with doordash and ubereats. its been so tough out here in louisiana. didn't think i would make it through the summer BUT here we are and im having a fantastic week and also just started making gaming videos here on youtube. hoping one day i could focus just on that. bless up man and glad its all working out for you!
Stay grinding on that UA-cam channel brother! I absolutely LOVE to see it!!!
Same here bro keep up the great work, I just started watching your let's play for The Chant seems interesting, I'm going to have to play catch up on the series now.
@@jaeshotz oh thanks man, I'm enjoying it for sure. starting the devil in me and soma this week as well so it should be interesting lol
Love it bro. I’m a dasher in Kansas City and you started a few months before I have. And I will say I’ve been doing this full time myself. But I’ve learned a lot from your videos ! 🤟🏼
happy to be a great resource! keep crushin!
Kansas City I bet u doing good there here in Joplin Mo sucks is slow haha
One of your most Is informative and focused videos I've ever seen... Keep up the great work son
People talk down on me for gig work, but I was doing $24-$28 an hour on average. Keep grinding bro! There’s still a lot of activity for gig work in the 612!
100% it’s still solid in the 612 it’s crazy. I’m not big on it as much anymore. Need to make an update vid
@@eliesch please come back
@Eli Esch are you ever coming back? Whens the update video :(
Wow, $500 a month for rent?? ..U blessed, homie.. U the mvp on this gig work for sure ..At an early age too
yep I'm extremely grateful 🙏

Everything is well Ronald! Thank you for checking in that means a lot. I'm pivoting my content a bit. I'll be making a video on it soon. Much love Eli
I hope you and everyone else are well too 💙
@@eliesch oh sweet I’ll be excited to follow your new content!! Keep on grinding! I’m thinking about starting a auto detail page which has been my side hustle for 15 plus years
@@Mcdamn1026 nice Ronald! GO FOR IT
You are right the hustle mindset goes far saving money always best

Everything is brother. I'll be dropping a video real soon to explain where I'm at with my channel. Much love Fritz. Hope you are well too.
Thanks for this man. I hope you start producing more videos! This is super inspiring 👍 - Mike (NY)
Glad to create these videos. I’ll be making more many more. I’m not done with this Eli Esch channel 💪
@@eliesch awesome man! Looking forward to watching your new content!
It's been awhile. I miss your videos. 😁
I started dashing this month after watching your vids and others! Then I ran into this dude today! Totally legit bro nice to meet you keep rockin it! 🎉
Stay hustling Jared. Best of luck brother 💯🫡
Crazy how this video will get more views than ur last one.. MLS.. DoorDash hooking up a driver.. showing hard work pays off.. spending all day making a video.. than bam a little 4 min banger… like I was saying man keep posting… 🥰 honestly best driving content out there..
❤️❤️❤️
Oh and back to drones taking over food delivery or food delivery cars.. bro you know people be stealing cars and drones instead of food. They will always need us bots to drive are cars into ground if we aren’t smart about it.. keep grinding man. More UA-cam..! Less driving 😉
Shout out from Houston Texas to my boy Eli.. The target warehouse and shipt coming in clutch down here 👌👌
My guyyyyy
Good stuff as always man. It is a fun way to make $ & like you said, the flexibility. Have you ever thought of doing passengers considering you have a newer car? I’ve thought about getting a newer car eventually & then trying it out since it is more $. Had a long talk with one of my drivers & says he’s pulling a little under 2k a week.
Running through my city with that DASH bag 🏃
How's your car maintenance? I've been doing gig work for 3 years now with a brand new car and my mileage scares me. I add at least 50-100 miles per day
How many miles does your car have and what model?
@@edxander7169 almost 38k
Thanks for content
Love your videos brother! 💯 🙏🏻
Been here since day 1!
much love 💯
When will u return? Have u stopped dashing? Is it not worth it in your market anymore? I understand dashing has been at its worst for me
He recently uploaded
@gregkareem9824 I'm aware. He quit doordash though 😢
Thank you
Love from Syracuse NY
Thank YOU for watchin
Good video man, keep grinding boy
likewise brotha!
Thinking about doing this as a side hustle. I’m a health care professional (RN).
I’ve always thought delivering food would be fun.
It’s a great side hustle. Super chill and quite simple. Do it!
Self employment tax is over 15% but it depends how many miles you drive, and you HAVE to track your miles
You need to set aside at least 25% of your TAXABLE income, but that percentage goes up if you have a higher earning day job
Look up self employment tax effective rate calculator and you can enter your main job income plus your side job and figure out how much to set aside
Either way I'm begging everyone to track miles/expenses and save for taxes
facts, track your miles!
Track miles and what else?
@@thegoober8797 you can also track your maintenance expenses but it's not necessary if you are using your miles as your tax write off. You can write off miles and expenses on you taxes
@@eliesch thanks man, how much of a difference does the tax break make?
What they don't mention is that to make even anywhere near 30-50k requires at least the same amount of miles to add to a car. Miles are never mentioned , in my area it's about $1.15 -1.25 per mile for door dash orders so you can do the math as to how many miles it will take to earn a salary lol. Doing this full time will give your car a short life span
Working these hours for any employer and not get compensated for it depressed and not being able to enjoy your life will give you a short life span too
Nice breakdown of doordash income. Thanks!
Also just to add for those who tried Doordash and Just got mentally stressed out from it or got tired of it. There are other niches out there and plenty of opportunities to make good money just get out there and experiment with it.
Love it dawg
Well said Krip Walk
If you get stressed doing doordash then something is wrong. You're in control of everything
100% our market is amazing. Still trying to catch you at the shipt warehouse sometime 🤣
110% Minneapolis is GOATED for gig work... lol i haven't done Shipt in a while
Ive watched so many videos and i just put together that u sound just like quadeca
bro that's such a compliment 🙏🤣
🙌🏿
We missed you, bro
I'm here in Minneapolis too, near Nokomis. There's nothing in this area, so I have to go north towards the city or south to richfield or bloomington. I don't like going North because I get nervous near really crowded areas and parking situations. How do you deal with the food places that you can't park near? Just drive around until you find a spot? And most places that way are apartments too, so parking is crazy. Any tips?
I also just signed up for Shipt, but most of the deliveries I've seen are bogus. Like going far east and crossing to Wisconsin? Really Shipt? Maybe the good routes are getting taken asap...
I live in Fridley and used to get to uptown lots.
DOORDASH FOR LIFE
you might be lucky to have your car in great shape and it doesn't need any fixes. but eventually, it will. not sure how people are making any profit driving regular cars. You can definitely deduct from your taxes all repairs, oil changes, and gas ... but ... I'd say to run this job you should be as efficient as possible, - EV prob. I hope you are learning something else while driving gig jobs, cause eventually, you need to become a professional, - like cooking meals, doing surgeries etc. And nothing wrong with doing extra after your regular work as well. I'm doing it cause I want to see how other people are living, what they are ordering, and what restaurants are around. I also want to try uber, - so I can meet and maybe talk to some different people.
Yep. I've got some great opportunities in the works going forward, not worried about my future in the least.
Hit me up. I wanna be interviewed on your channel about the dark side of DoorDash and how their employees and dashers get screwed. I got the deets!!!!!
Bro teach me your ways to keeping that positive energy!
It's all perspective!
@@eliesch It is indeed. I just got laid off so I've been on/off telling myself this is a blessing in disguise.
Can i use a 1996 Buick LeSabre for uber eats?
Eli!!!!! This guy #Str8Gookin …U kept me inspired since day 1!!!!!
We still need to do a Collab fam ,
IA/Mn we Midwest Monstaz In this gig encom!!
Much love big dawg much love
Dash game Erling Haaland. ⚽️🍞

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Where are you man??? Hope you are okay!! Please update us😊
I know. I need to make an update video. It’s been far too long since I’ve made a video for my channel
I made 45k my 1st year 60k last year
Oh shit deadass ?
@@treyruiz7934 dead ass I'm about 2 make 60k again this year
@@757bgully after taxes how much ?
Gross or net after factoring gas and taxes?
$54K gross
Wish if you make another week gig work I think your last video was months ago.
Let's see if your market still busy🙏
We'll see. We'll see
you make more money than the flexers on wsb and crypto forums probably
😂
I wish I lived in your market
If you want this to be your full time job then move to Minneapolis! Gig work is great here and rent is cheap!
I got a refund back from my tax(hr block services) cost $490…. But I got a refund tax return tax check!!!!
That's y I didn't like ur other video saying get ready to get another job....Doordash is still PRIME TIME
Nah it's just that I want people to know that this great bread won't last forever and if u stick with DD til delivery goes automated then you might be screwed. I just want people to evolve rather than stick to the same thing
This sounds like your getting ready to sell everyone a course on how to start up your own business xD
No biz pitch, just wanting y'all to think bigger than DoorDash... there are so many opportunities in this world!
I live in Minneapolis, Just signed up for Shipt. How's everything going so far man?
Stick to Doordash and UberEats. Shipt doesn’t pay very well. Food delivery pays best
Is doordash and Uber eats still as good as it was in 2020?
Where did you go???
I miss eli and the gang
I miss making content too Trey. I’ll be back 💯
It’s an evolutionary process 💪
@@eliesch hope u and Sam ok
@@elieschu been saying that for months 😂😂
@@edxander7169 you’re right man. I’m sorry I’ve been struggling to get back to content cause I’m done with DoorDash videos 🤷♂️ I’ll explain in my next video
That’s not a lot of money when gas is so high and wear and tear on vehicle. Also, don’t forget you have to pay ss taxes, etc...
JEEEZZZZ you gotta grind HARD for 54k a year, ridiculous. I worked almost 40-50 hours a week all year in 2021 with Uber eats and doordash, and only made 38k, Now im driving a tow truck for AAA and make WAAAYYYY more
that's probably due to your city, everything depends on your market
Quick question do you gotta have commercial insurance or personal insurance
Personal. Uber offers commercial when you’re delivering. DoorDash I’ve heard doesn’t have great commercial coverage for drivers
Yeah id like to see ai car deliver to apartments, or watch them malfunction shopping at dollar general
lol
Eli what's your referral code
Is good for u because u lucky that city u live is busy like that on my city it slowwww and not worth it
Yup, like I've always said, gig driving is 100% based on the size and economic activity in your city
Man is it really cheap there? 500 a month?
Hey Eli, I sent you an email last night. Did you receive it?
What’s the goal for this year??
Honestly bro long as it's above $50K I'm happy and chillin
Do you take time off or was this working 365?
about 4 days a week, some weeks less, some more
How much do you make UA-cam let’s see a video
I make about $500-$800 a month from UA-cam
Are you still doing doordash ? And how much you think someone can make 1 full day of doordash like sun rise to sun set
Two dollaaas
Rent in Minnesota is $500?!?!
Mine is!
@@elieschwhat up my niggah... You stopped dashing?
@@elieschWhaaat fr?!? U live in a shed or something? Lol 😢
Screw taxes, taxing = stealing
not a big taxes guy huh? me neither 😂
@@eliesch President Trump paid zero taxes in 10 years and he's a billionaire

I hate my city Slow af
yup, things are definitely slowing down everywhere. the recession could definitely have something to do with it.
Use the app less? Naw. If I had a "normal" job I couldn't live the life I live traveling the country.
True. I just want ppl to understand that this gig won't be here forever
I make more money with a doordash bot
And you probably spend about $10,000 in gas.
lol
Alright now your young I dont do dinner that night life for a female NOPE!!!!!!!
Dinner is 4-8 that's early
I get it
This is gross ur not including car maintenance, taxs etc
Correct, gross revenue, not including expenses
How much you pay taxes thou?🤡🤪
My niga ( just use hr block for your taxes) it’s legit, I used it last year.. cost me $490
You never know man. Will Smith saved us from robots before. He can do it again
Just subbed bro, looking to quit my job and try full time dashing.
My boy never disappoints let’s go 🔥🔥🔥
Yo eli..... Where u been bro?? We need more content
Lmao ik bro I’m working on what my next step is. I’m done with DoorDash content. It doesn’t interest me anymore.
@@eliesch I feel you. Moving on to bigger and better things but is doordash still good in the twin cities??
@@BrandonJohnson-we7vf yessir. And yea it is indeed still good in the twin cities. Gotta get out the trap of it lol
u fell off after attacking doordash bro. how u going to tell us to do something other than gig work and still upload doordash videos...
u right u right. I cannot deny 🤷 stuck between a rock and hard place... not really into the DoorDash videos anymore but that's the community I've built lol. I've got some great ideas in the works tho. Eli Esch isn't even close to over.
Work on my own time as long as it’s everyday during the dinner and lunch rush 😂
Lol so true
