  • Five Finger Death Punch performs GONE AWAY and I break down halfway through the video. Heart on my sleeve.
Every day I do a single reaction video- on Monday and Friday, it's a Kpop song and on Wednesday it's a song from my youth- the other four days of the week, I choose a song at random out of the comments section! I go into each video COLD, knowing as little as possible about what I am about to watch and see.

I was surprised and glad that you reacted to this version! It's a very different vibe from The Offspring and I listen to both but for different reasons. I absolutely love FFDP, tho their music tends to gut me emotionally and don't listen to them unless I want to feel. Then seeing you get emotional over it made my own eyes mist over. Thank you again for your service to our country. It's a debt that will sadly remain forever unpaid, just like the so many others who've served our country.

@@BigJ3832 i think its mean to assume people lie about that stuff, in special as he gives the name and date you can just look it up...
for my part i have - luckily - never lost family nor friends to the war, they always came back alive though i want to add that the way they came back wasnt so much better either. Physicly unharmed or just a little wounded (shot in arm) but they turned to alcohol, a more aggressive nature, nightmares...my uncle survived quite unharmed mentally and physicly, he is only turned awkward telling stories about how one of his subordinates shot himself in the stomache to get out of the warzne but accidently ruptured his main bloov vessel and bled out, or how a female soldier couldnt take it anymore and hanged herself in the barricades or how a mine sprayed his face with the intestines of his friend etc.
And then there is a friend of mine who came back completly destoryed mentally. In like he is extremely touchy, agressive, almost always drunk and seeking trouble...

Oooh rahh keep a positive never give up attitude and you will be a Marine. The Corps will teach you a lot and you may start to think that you won't remember it, but they have their way of making it stick even when you don't think it is. Believe me that muscle memory will kick in when you really need it. The most important thing i learned in boot camp was the Marine Corps meaning of the word discipline and i remember it still today. The Marine Corps definition of discipline is " When every inborn instinct tells you to run and hide.........you stand and fight" this will remain with you your whole life. The reason it dose is because everything that will be your core values upon completion of Marine Recruit training will forever be worth fighting for. Develop and take with you the attitude of becoming the best and then remaining the best; the fucking forever hard, life taken, ass kicken, heart breaken, most bad ass motherfucken Marine you can be and fucken run with it. The pride you feel when you get your EGA and graduate will forever be a part of who you are.

There's nothing wrong with crying while watching a video like this. Because that's the point of the video; the impart even a fraction of the emotion felt by those who lose their comrades in arms on the field of battle. There'd be something wrong with you if you *didn't* cry.

But friendly advice from someone who has been in for four years(getting out soon ) read your contract and make sure you get the MOS you want. But the corps isn’t easy nor fun. It has its days but just talk to people who has or are still serving and listen to their experiences

Hey it is Maddie Metts here! I changed my name as you see, and so did my Mommy! (Just a note: If I get a shout out or am ever addressed, can I still be called Maddie Metts if it is not too much trouble. I like Living Dead Girl a lot, but being addressed by it is different, thank you so much)
I wanted to say that I adore this song and FFDP in general. I would not say I am a fan, because I have not seen the mass majority of thier music, but what I have heard from my lovely Mommy I deeply appreciate. I am glad you like them as well. It is nice to relate on these things with others! And about the song, I almost cried upon viewing it for the first time. Their music almost never seems to fail to absolutely gut you. Which can be a good thing, I personally do not see it as something negative. :) I hope you agree as well! And thank you so much for your service! It is greatly appreciated!

This band have done so much work for the American military that they’ve been given an award that is only supposed to be awarded to soldiers.

I am a veteran. I joined in 2004. Right after the war broke out. This video is almost exactly what I experienced. I was hit by an RPG. My friend Adrien hike and captain borris were killed by an IED like the video in the truck in front of me. I am also and alcoholic and can't figure out how to cope. What's your advice? Help!

Heh you say it...i was once flying in a helicopter with some soldiers, they wanted to go on i didnt, it was just a training thing and i felt sick so they dropped me off and continued. Then the machine had a failiure and they crashed right into a mountain. Gives you the chills thinking about it, there were still 6 people on board all with achievements, families, dreams, you just did a silly fart joke 30 minutes earlier and now they are all dead and gone forever...and if i didnt fell sick i would have been the seventh. The stupid thing is it wasnt a mission it wasnt war or anything it was just a random normal day
