A quick question, is there anyway to know whether I need new shocks or a new spider arm without getting into my machine in advance? I need to order the parts, I think I probably need new shocks, but I hate to get into my machine and find out I need a new spider arm and/or new suspension springs.
Samsung might make great TVs and phones.... But they make some of the worst washing machines in the world! I recently got rid of mine after only 3 years of use because of the rattling and noise. Terrible customer service. And no it wasn't the bolts! Just got myself a Miele!

So is there 2 or 4 total shocks?

But 2 different types. The front and rear are different
Samsung should have provided removable side panels to get at the front shocks. would be sooo much easier.
What would cause one to jump off the ground violently during spin cycle.... and yes i leveled it.
How many shock absorbers total are on this machine?
4 - 2 front 2 back. backs are easy - one panel off and you have access.

Actually you could replace those shockers from the bottom. Do not need to take the front door off.
You changed them without taking it all apart or you heard that somewhere else?
You can tilt it back, rest on a wall and get to them from the open bottom
