I wish I was a kid when these aired. I have a nostalgia for times I've never been in - as far as I know? 😉 The entertainment quality combined with the group experience of listening together beside the radio - how I long for that experience. The closest I have is a memory of playing Clue by the fireside when the power went out once when I was about 12. Thank you for a good listen!
We're in the same boat. Been through the Twilight Zone so deep that it took us One Step Beyond the Dark Shadows, into Suspense about a time before we were born.
I hope that for generations to come the youth keep rediscovering old gems like this, the same as I did, seeing sites like the Internet Archive, an UA-cam pages like Old Time Radio gives me hope that oneday all media will be maintained an treated like art or literature an be available in some form for free for all to enjoy
Older planes had a door for pilots an a door for passengers so it'd be easy with the blinds drawn for them to jump out the pilot door without attracting any attention
Probably about 2 years too late to help, but from what I gathered, the paper that was dropped had the instructions for landing the plane - "You should land just as your fuel fails at 7am"

I feel the same way; This is how my depression era parents spent their pre-TV evenings.

It’s nice to think there are still youthful people who think of the good old day’s.

Brilliant! 👏🏻
a new favorite!
Fun to listen during pandemic May 2020.
“…with head all over blood!” Love it.
Very good one.
Wonderful

I have listened to this more than once. How did the pilots get past the passengers to jump out of the plane? I mean wouldn’t it appear a bit odd?😊

Dang, this one dude sounds like Gary Cooper

What about the paper that was dropped?

"head all over blood"
Not a good episode. Poorly written.
I actually agree with you. I didn't think it was up to par with many of the other Suspense episodes I've heard.
