Note to anyone with the same problem: It is a well known manufacturer's defect with these phones. My warranty was ended in 2021 and they're still sending me a new phone, well, a refurb. Just go into the customer service chat.

To root your phone, you need to have your bootloader unlocked. Now when you try to relock the bootloader, it will wipe data and factory reset your phone.
