- I spent at day at the Caravan Camping and Motorhome Show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on Friday 22nd February 2019. This video shows some of my highlights and favourites.

But that’s exactly what I like. I can tell you’re having fun. Anyway waffling on like that is a skill (certainly in public) I’ve yet to master it, hence my use of music. Graham
I sometimes involve the public if they heckle, it’s interesting to see their reaction 👍🏻😁

Bob gets a press pass giving him free entry. There’s nothing wrong with that but I want to remain a customer to the exhibiters so I always pay at the door, yes even if I am there all week. I have never taken any freebies without stating it in my Vlog. That’s why I was there until 4pm. I never do paid product promotions on my channel as I think it can be dishonest. Hope that helps you to see I am not Bob 😃

It was a long day for us when we went on Thursday, too. You covered the many different vehicles well. Agree that Bob has the most comprehensive motorhome reviews which are most useful for us newbies. (Met him briefly at the show). We collect our first van on Monday ! 😮

Did you see the Swift Escape Compact ? They are a coach built motorhome but slightly narrower that the panel vans. 😄👍🏻 Trev

@@PoshcatsCamping That is our main conclusion from going to the show. We hope to make it a two day affair if we manage to go in October. We have been told about a CAMC site close to the NEC.
Hi Trev, the Warwick XL was a contender for us in the blue trim, but we needed 2 travelling seats for grandkids, if we were staying with a larger MH, I would choose the Elddis / Compass 194 with the raised rear bed and garage. Did you have a look in our new one 😀

With Auto Sleepers panel vans where do the outside tables and chairs go and I forgot a barbecue.
Mostly they are stored under bunks, in wardrobes or in the shower. These areas are the least used and can act as additional Starr age when travelling. The layout of the Campervan will determine this though. We tend to use the cab as a “boot room” and storage area when parked as this is space that is not used when parked up. Hope this helps ? 😄. Trev now I see why the european vans are taking over, they all have massive underbed storage and a real matress to boot some even get froli springs, where us poor begars get little storage and lumpy bumpy sofa's to sleep on?

Tom, some have but not all. It is certainly necessary to allow for tail swing when turning left or right. 👍🏻 Trev

There is more choice than ever now. Even being a smaller show, it seems there are more units that appeal to us. 👍🏻😊
Another first class and interesting video. Can you please tell me what motorhome that your friends have got that often go on Suffolk Centre rallies with you. It looks like a reasonably compact 2 berth Mercedes but what is the make and model. Best wishes. Bill Norfolk Centre.
Hi Bill, Joe has a AutoSleeper Devon 6 metres and Nick has a Hobby 6.7 metres long. Both are 2 birth and are spacious inside without being too big to park. Hope that helps ? 😄 Trev

Great video Trev. We did look out for you at the show but sadly our paths never crossed! We went for three days and had a fantastic time. Still dreaming of Motorhome ownership one day ........so we can drive into the sunset of warmer climates. - Can you do a video of how you transitioned from a caravan to a Motorhome. What the main advantages/disadvantages have been, why you did it and some good advice for us caravaners if we want to change. My quandary is: I want the freedom of touring (even in this country) but how do you park near to all these wonderful places when you are disabled and can't walk far???? - Lin xx

Hi trev didn't think u had a 3 hour drive to NEC I bet u were talking to yourself been u on your own nice video and walk around u were saying you've own a few caravans in the past how come u went into motorhomes do u still do rallies now hope u had safe journey bak home .kev
Kev - started caravanning in 1984 & owned 10 Caravans. Changed to Motorhome in 2017 for a change. Still rally but taken a break from running events. Still have a passion for all camping though. Thanks for supporting us 😁👍🏻 Trev
Great video, have been watching you a while now and you are definitely getting more relaxed in front of the camera. We went there last October for the first time just looking to see if there was anything for our MH, ended up buying a Swift Select 164 automatic with all the bells and whistles. We pick it up next Friday from Kimberleys, we live in Kent so a bit of a drive but worth it. Agree with about Bob Earnshaw also really enjoy Andrew Ditton. Look forward to your next video.

There getting too big for how roads and there no need for than to be so wide not practical
michael I do agree that some of the bigger units are too big but the same could be said of both Caravans and Motorhomes. You have a good point. 👍🏻 Trev
