Dizzy took a lot of people with him. One of the most unselfish educators you will ever find. I had the good fortune to hear and talk to the Diz in a club in Newark NJ, Sparky J's. I only post the proceeding to acknowledge Newark NJ's contribution to this world class art we call JAZZ.

David Doyle i also had the pleasure of meeting dizzy at the penn state unv beaver campus 74 had his autograph on a hot dog plate for many many yrs great show
I saw him do this "Live" at the Playboy Jazz Festival in L.A. The orchestra was named the New World Orchestra ft. Paquito D'Rivera and Arturo Sandoval and the RAWKED!!! daMonstah,CEO of daBlogPound,Inc.
OK, that is the commercial DVD-version. This is an unofficial broadcasting RIP-off which is still very attractive (I hope you'll understand my english)
Gracias nuevamente.
Yes indeed that is the young incomparable Giovanni Hidalgo on congas who has become without a doubt the best conga player in the world. God Bless Puerto Rico. Dios te Bendiga Giovanni
This is an excellent version of Tin Tin Deo. However, as much as I love Dizzy his playing was past its prime here. At this stage in his career he was a much better bandleader than trumpeter. He really got the most out of his band even though his own playing was kind of off.

No es una trompeta baja. Es una trompeta de rotores. Maquina alemana. En Bb tal como la de pistones. La trompeta baja es otro instrumento . Saludos

Who is the percussionist?
