I can't tell you how grateful I am that you took the time to upload this optimization guide. Informationally dense and straight to the point, 10/10 will have to watch again
This is master’s degree of master cam university stuff. The first basic cam program I used I expected to work it like this. How disappointed I was . Now I see the light. Please train me! I am grasshopper🥋
this is must know information for any kind of job shop programmer or just any kind of person wanting to kick up their game. thanks for this gold nugget.
9:07 now imagine we have an advanced cutting parameters page (in the tool editor) where we can define every cutting parameter of every toolpath available in mastercam (choosing per dropdown menu, as many as i want until every possible parameter has been set) for every stock material we have created. That would be a huge improvement imo
I recommend reaching out directly to your local Value-Added Reseller or to Mastercam to give them ideas like these. If they are bugs or are workflow related issues, they can assist you with getting up and running smoothly very quickly. If your recommendation will help make the product better a request can be submitted for consideration in future releases.
57:07 still not working in 2022 hle. i am currently working on optimizing my post (another company is coding it for me) and i have told them that this bug exists. maybe they will throw out a bugfix hopefully
The home learning edition does not support any posting activities by design. Post-processors relate to putting the program onto a machine, which means you are making parts. HLE is for learning how to program the toolpaths only.

Thank you for the glowing feedback! I'll let the team know and we'll keep working on great content!

Sounds good, feedback is always helpful, just make sure you know we don't send video comments to Mastercam directly for consideration as enhancements.
