Oh I adore your Nell pink dress !! It's gorgeous and I want to make one for myself now !!! I know it's not your cup of tea but I adore it ! Glad to have found your channel !
I love your raspberry wide legged trousers- they are gorgeous 😍 for the stretch tomato denim how about a pinafore dress or shorty dunga’s? Would make it more of a transitional piece then for spring/summer or summer/early autumn.
The material with the tomatoes on it, the stretch denim I think you said it was, I think would be wonderful as either a pinafore or some dungaree shorts. I think that would be much better than trousers or jacket or anything else. But that’s just my humble opinion!
I’m totally in love with the Fleur too!! Such a fab pattern! That Ether dress is so pretty too. It will look really great on you! How wonderful you all got to go to Paris! It looked like the best weekend!
A mid-length "jeans" skirt would be cute in that tomato fabric. You could wear a white, red, blue or green tank top or blouse with it and a pair of athletic shoes or flip flops with them. I'm not sure if that is a style you'd be interested in, but you do such a fine job with topstitching and all the other details for jeans. Welcome back and good to hear all went fine with surgeries and healing and that you had a great birthday trip to Paris!
Thanks for sharing Liz, I like both your Nell dresses but somehow the green one looks longer. So glad that you were able to get away to celebrate your birthday 💙🧶🌈🍓
Lovely makes as always! I have the FG tomato denim and am planning on making the TATB Thea pattern as shorts. I’ve also got the Le Weekend viscose linen but have no idea what to do with it!
I was thrilled to see you back and all your makes .. happy that your daughter is on the mend and you all got to see Paris.. what a lovely memory to have and share
I made the Nell too and I downsized by one size for my first version, and had to take two 4cm darts in the back of the bodice, but it is still too big. I have therefore decided to go down two sizes, but I will also lengthen the bodice by 3 inches as the first version was empire line on me. I made the midi length skirt, but did not make it as long as the pattern suggested as I only had 2.5m fabric so just cut the bodice and sleeves, then halved the remaining fabric for the skirt which came up mid shin on me and I am 5' 4" tall. Will try the Fleur dress next. Did you need to go down in size for this dress or did you just do with your correct size? Love you fabric godmother fabric it looks fab' on you. Love your McCalls pants in red look the swishy fabric. Will get the pattern and downsize as you suggest.
So great to see you Liz. Thanks so much for the Sew Fruity shout out! Love seeing your fruity fabrics and you could enter a lot of your recent makes into #SewFruity24 as well 😍
It is lovely to see you back and hear that Lolas surgery went well. If you remove the bows from the. gingham dress I think you will like it.Due to the fabric the bows are too prominent. The green abstract dress in the same pattern is stunning. The fabric and pattern for your Paris dress was perfect. The tomato fabric would look great as a jacket ,either a bomber or parker style .
As usual, lots of lovely makes and fabrics. My choice for the tomato fabric would be a fun pair of overalls/dungarees. They would work for warm weather with a sleeveless top or a peasant style blouse, a long sleeve tee would work for colder weather.
Hi Liz! Thank you for coming back and share your sewing journey with us. Your experience with both Fleur and Nell dress patterns was spot-on and extremely useful to determine my purchase. At the moment I'm sewing the Fleur and I highly appreciate the instructions. For a v-neck experiment Ive bought the Penelope dress by Emporia patterns. You haven't tried it, have you? I would be interested in your review (although you might not like the vneck😅). I've started sewing a wearable toile for the Juliette dress by Silversaga but left it for the moment since it has long sleeves and it's very hot now in Italy. Absolutely in love with S. Patterns although very fabric hungry and definitely not a quick sew! Happy to hear that your daughters are doing well. I believe health issues take time and patience to come to a positive result. See you whenever you manage without applying too much pressure to youself.❤
Hi Liz, I made the Nell and I’m similar measurements to you, made a size 1 in a drapey fabric. Its still oversized at the waist but wearable because of the fabric. Hope that helps. Great to have you back ❤
Lovely that you're back and to hear Ruby is getting on well. I wonder if you could add another tier to the shorter dress in another gingham (a bit like the Tiered multi coloured dress you did)? Xx
Good to see you back with Sunday sews, glad Rubes is doing g well. You’ve made some beautiful makes, all your new fabrics are gorgeous, could you make a pinafore with the tomato fabric
Great see you back Liz and everything is going well! You are fuel for my sewjo 😂 always itching to start sewing when watching your vlogs. Maybe you can shorten the cherry dress into a top?
Hi Liz, I was wondering how much of a bother it would be to take the skirt portion off the cherry dress, reshape the bodice to make it slimmer, take more gathers in the skirt and reattach it. ( sounds like a lot of work?!?,). The drapier green dress ( love the likeness to the tile flooring, ☺️). Definitely hangs and looks different from the more structured cotton dress. ( I personally would prefer fewer bows, but that’s me😉). For the tomato fabric, do you wear capri pants? Might still be warm but cute. So many choices and options. Great news about Ruby’srecovery and that your family was able to travel to Paris! I hope their recovery continues to go well and the surgery was a great success. 😊. Wonderful fabrics & plans. When is school out for you folks? I’m from the US.
I’ve been looking for shoes similar to the ones that you are wearing with your Nell dresses. Are you able to tell me where you dot them from or what brand they are?
Hi again Liz, I would really like to know, whether the brown curly thing to your right near the door frame is a model of a bull with his legs on the white bottle? I just couldn’t stop looking at trying to figure out what it is. 😂🤣
I think the dresses with the bows down the front are a little too big on shoulders and sleeves stick out. Maybe take the puffiness out of them. It seems such a shame that you put so much effort into you dress making and then not be able to wear the garment.. XX
Yes I agree with you - I think they’re too big. I’ve managed to tweak the fit for the green one and the pink one with cherries has gone to my daughter and I’ve adjusted it to fit her xx
Great makes and beautiful fabrics, love the Fleur dress xx
Oh I adore your Nell pink dress !! It's gorgeous and I want to make one for myself now !!! I know it's not your cup of tea but I adore it ! Glad to have found your channel !
Hi there… I think a fun pinafore for the tomato fabric, so you can layer underneath if you want to wear it trans seasonal. 😊
You could make a summer jacket with the Tomato fabric

I think for the tomatoes fabric it would look gorgeous as a Denim maxi skirt

For your tomato print fabric the Wide Leg Pants from Peppermint Magazine would be perfect for summer
Hi Liz, I made the Nell and I’m similar measurements to you, made a size 1 in a drapey fabric. Its still oversized at the waist but wearable because of the fabric. Hope that helps. Great to have you back ❤
Some amazing makes and I am definitely checking the fleur dress now!
Great to have you back Liz, I always love your vlogs!
How about shorts in the tomato fabric? I’ve bought some also, with shorts in mind x
Lovely that you're back and to hear Ruby is getting on well. I wonder if you could add another tier to the shorter dress in another gingham (a bit like the Tiered multi coloured dress you did)? Xx
Lovely to see you. Your fabric godmother dress is gorgeous
Hi Liz, how about a fun pinafore dress for the tomato fabric? It’s good to see you back! 💕

Good to see you back with Sunday sews, glad Rubes is doing g well. You’ve made some beautiful makes, all your new fabrics are gorgeous, could you make a pinafore with the tomato fabric
The red pants look was 👍🏾.
Have you tried adding a belt to the cherry Nell dress? I think it’s so pretty it would be a shame to waste it.
Nice to see you so many gorgeous things you have done happy sewing 😊😊

Lovely to see you back and so glad to hear that Ruby is recovering well 😊
Lovely to see you back.
For the tomato fabric...how about a pinafore or shortalls?
Can you tell me where you got your green jelly shoes from please?
They’re from a company called Sun Jellies www.sunjellies.com xx
I’ve been looking for shoes similar to the ones that you are wearing with your Nell dresses. Are you able to tell me where you dot them from or what brand they are?
What about dungarees shorts with the tomato fabric - perfect for summer
I don’t agree. I love it on you.
Hi again Liz, I would really like to know, whether the brown curly thing to your right near the door frame is a model of a bull with his legs on the white bottle? I just couldn’t stop looking at trying to figure out what it is. 😂🤣
😂😂😂 It’s an old gin bottle with dried eucalyptus sticking out of the top xx
I saw a bull and legs / horns too
I also saw it and thought it looked like a dog or some animal hovering over the bottle! Funny what we notice,
xXX👍👍👍
Couldn't you just unpick sleeves and run sides in a bit on the Nell
