If you cant get your 3DR Solo working or syncing, or it syncs but refuses to take off, it just gives you a DONG SOUND instead of taking off, you may just need to power them off then back on or properly pair them. (not a hard reset)
In this video, I discuss how to
1. How 2 hard reset your controller - and check what version you have
2. How to Pair the Drone to the controller with a 3-5 second depress
3. How to Properly Connect to the original SOLO APP and go fly
NOTE: Remember doing hard reset on the controller or 10 seconds or longer depress on drone will cause a hard reset - doing this can cause a pre-flight update issue if your drone and controller were shipped from the factory with the original firmware baked in.
If this is the case, you have to send it to me to get it fixed or just buy a new one past the pre-flight update and don't hard reset the next one.

Sorry, it's been a few years since I have flown my Solos. Just to be clear, this does a factory reset? Then installs the base program from the controller board to the flash card inside the controller? Then the controller flashes the Solo? Or do I have to remove the sd cards from both the controller and Solo, then flash them with the base 6.10? Forgive my misunderstanding. Where can I download the Solo app? I have an LG V20 Android 7.0. Thanks for the video!

Hello i have a 3dr solo drone too, my dad bought it in 2021 to do some practice, but when my dad started it, he told me the drone was asking for a password to be paired, then we where thinking maybe the previous owner had put the password to protect it, then we did the hard reset to both the drone and the controller but then when we restared the controller that now is stuck on waiting for update or similar message for what i remember, we called the previous owner and he told us that the password was the one written in the manual, but then we had no time to continue then we just shut off everything and put it back in the case,, and put it in the garage for 2 years, but now my dad needs it and then we have taken back, as soon i can i will take it back, and try to follow your video and try to do things properly.
I sell updated SD cards that fix the pre-flight issue. I will be going around the USA this summer in my RV fixing as many 3DRs as I can! Hang on help is coming! Just keep checking back for updates, dates and times! I DO NOT recommend taking the SD Cards out yourself since you will ruin the port and do not have the proper adhesive and you will have a fly-away without it secure.

Just go to my website and order the repair package! Id expect 2 week turn around with standard USPS shipping.

Hi i have a brand new Solo with gimbal. i had one years ago, i have the original tablet that i used with my original one before i sold it. I will need your help getting this new one up and going.
I have a solo that has never been in the air I have took the cards out of both the remote and the bird and still have a solid orange light and remote still says waiting for solo is there anything I should know on getting this thing up in there besides what I've already done
This drone was 1200 new! I would sell it on ebay for parts. Most people that "just came across this" found it in a dumpster or closet and instead of sending it in for service from me or Drone Worship...they rip them apart, take out the SD card then ask why its not working? because of you. People on Ebay love guys like you!

I have an all original solo, haven’t flown since 2017. Anyone know of any videos that can get me up to date and back to being able to fly? I need to be able have the feature where I can have it fly on its own(on a cable)
The only way to get cable cam working is by first upgrading or downgrading the firmware's to versions 2.42 and having a old phone running the original SOLO app. 2.42 is the last 3DR firmware release. Open Solo is a 3rd party aftermarket firmware used with SOLEX app and that feature is no longer available. I can fix any solo but its not cheap or easy. or you can try buying my SD cards but your on your own and why I just cater to cinematographers.Thanks!

Your best solution is sell it for a working one. Or if you find a certified A + technician in Romania like me that knows Linux line code...I will be happy to show them how to flash update for free. Anyone else no!
@@travelrockstar I honestly would prefer to pay for the software update repair because I spent a lot of money on it and my dear, but it breaks my heart when I see it lying unused, if I didn't live in Romania I would send it to you for repair, but it seems that I'm unlucky, I also tried with the solex application but honestly I can't manage it. Thanks for the advice

The Solo batteries even new are expired ...The drones are not safe to fly without having someone like me go over the unit and recondition the batteries...

Won't let me download app need to k ow what app to use don't want scared out of 30 dollars that's hom much that app is
U didn't start the motors. U have a red light and 1 green light. So u didn't fix anything. Solo still grounded
Your so out there, RED AND GREEN front lights and 2 rear WHITE LIGHTS are aircraft directional tip indicators identifying READY TO FLY! If the drone was not syncing the colors would be all RED OR ALL WHITE or 4 different COLORS. I'm leaving this post up so everyone else just as smart as this guy does not bother me!! Funny how guys like this refuse to watch my other videos of my drones flying!
