k you for your demo..........I`ve been battling with an invisible zip all week and had almost got to the point of abandoning my sewing project.....sigh...then watched your well explained demo and bliss, zip installed and perfect...well almost LOL. thank you once again
Just what I needed to k ow. Making cushions for my daughters couch. How wonderful and easy. Bought the zipper foot today and the zip. Thank you so much Debbie, regards from Tina in Auckland New Zealand
You are a genius Debbie. Brilliant tutorial. I made 2 new cushion covers with invisible zips for myself today, they look very professional because of you. When I was finished I was so happy with them I made one of your biscornu cushions aswell. Thank you, thank you, thank you x
Thank you so much for making this video. I made an invisible zip years ago but I bought a dress from Dillards and the zip was broken. Well I finally fit into the dress and I find that the zip is broken. Took it out but need to place a new one in. Thanks to you I can do it now. Thanks again.
Thank you Debbie I put in my first concealed zip with your clear calm instructions. Only want to emphasise to the novice make sure you don't sew over the teeth like I did at one point had to unpick! However, end result very pleased.
So well explained and demonstrated, but on older machines the feet are so different.. they work just as well though...I was unsure of how to make the seam and the bottom of the zip join without a small gap... problem now solved thank you.
Great video. But I've tried so many times to make covers with invisible zips. Every time it takes me 10 hours and I have to keep undoing the stitches because either I've not stitched close enough, or the covers are not aligned correctly, or something else has gone wrong. I keep persevering but I think I need to stop trying. I also don't understand how to finish off the zip after sewing the three sides together. I just find invisible zips so difficult and I've tried so many times and watched countless videos! :-(
I have a feeling the foot doesn't fit, take a look here, www.kenmore.com/products?keywords=kenmore+sewing+machine these are Kenmore parts so your foot should look like one of these, they also have a customer care number on that site, looks like its in the US. Hope that helps!
4-1-17 To Debbie Shore I"m using a plastic invisible foot for a low shank machine. The problem is when I lower the pressure foot, the invisible foot doesn't lay flat on the plate. There is a space. When I sew the zipper the fabric isn't secure. What's wrong?
What machine are you using? I've not heard of this before but I know most of the manufacturers so I'll try and find out, just checking, is it the right foot for the machine?
Once again Debbie I have to say thank you for such a brilliant tutorial. I couldn't have done it without you.

invisible foot.

Hello friend I wonder if you take measurements in inches?
Thanks so much by the way what the second foot you used to finish the inadvisable zipper?
Bertha Magana Just the standard foot from my sewing machine..
