When people talk about Classic Rock, this is what they mean. 10/10
Sure
Yes along with the Oasis songs 💙
Yeah not Zeppelin, overrated those blokes
No. More like Aerosmith and guns and roses. This isn’t quite classic rock just yet
@@welfaregod612 Guns N Roses weren't around until 1987... Is Nirvana classic rock too?
This man knows the difference between jam and jelly
#Vaseline
Marty you are so much more than just a great teacher, you shine man, and you help me stop wasting time and learn songs directly, in a very understandable, entertaining fashion. Even my wife likes my practice noise now, and I drink less. You rock brother!
More Tom Petty please! They put out SO MANY great songs!!!
It was a beautiful day, the sun beat down
I had the UA-cam on, I was drivin'
The trees went by, me and Marty were singin'
Little runaway, I was flyin'
no doubt you were harmonizing to Del Shannon.
What
One thing I learned while learning guitar is to just have fun. Don't worry if it's imperfect, just go nuts with it.
Love that song. Thanks Marty. RIP Tom Petty
Hey man! Wanted to say, been watching a bunch of your videos for a coverish gig I took on and you’re a hell of a player and your videos are all really well done. Keep up the good work!
I love that Heritage so darned much.
When I wanna know how a classic rock tune is REALLY played. I check with Marty. Thx man!
Killer lesson Marty! Thank you for all of lessons, you make playing guitar just too much fun!
Hey Marty, thanks for the Runnin' Down a Dream Lesson ... appreciate it!!! I sure do miss Tom Petty.
We’ve been needing some petty
I keep coming back to this lesson and song which are both just so damn good. With quite a lot of room to learn depending on desired level of detail and faith to the original multi-track. Thanks again, Marty.
I want more lessons just like this. Easy to strum and easy to take licks away from. Another perfect lesson Thank you.
Marty I lost my face. It melted away with that solo. I can’t find it!
Insane. Mike Campbell would be proud!
your such a help , expanding the list . thanks Marty
Marty, love your lessons! You're definitely one of the best teachers out there!

Marty, learned so much from your videos. Rock on bro. The lead on this song is totally awsum. You nailed it.
Something in honour of Buddy Holly, his last performance was 60 years ago this coming Feb.2.

Marty is the best! I have been on a plateau for more years than I care to admit. I just bought Marty’s “Lead Guitar Face Melter Bundle”. I am totally inspired to learn again. The pacing is perfect. Thank you!

Awesome! Great song. Fun to play and solo over. Pretty easy song for how cool it is. You were really tearin' it up in that intro! : )

Hey Marty, Love your lessons!! Really wanna learn wondering by widespread panic if you could do video on that song!
TEACH us the SOLO please!!!!
Get it with Mark Zabel.
You rock Marty 🎸🎶🕺🏻
Damn, Marty, that opening is quite something!
Petty started running down his dream of being a rocker in 1961 when he met Elvis Presley. Petty, 11 years old, came to the Ocala, Florida set where Elvis was working on the film - a title Tom took to heart. In a brief encounter, Petty saw how Elvis captivated onlookers and made the girls go crazy. Petty became fascinated with Elvis and set out to follow his path.
Love ya Marty!
That solo 🤤 Nice again man
Rick Rubin's Broken Record podcast with Mike Campbell brought me here. Great lesson Marty!
anyone else sad that he didn't teach the solo fully? because Marty is the best at guitar tutorials.
That fucking solo dude!!! Great job man!!!
Thanks Marty! I think Tom used the chord form for E : 079900, and the same shape for the C and D. Gives it that droning b and e throughout.
So fun to play
Nice solo Marty
I absolutely love your videos. By any chance do you do virtual lessons?
