"At 9:33 am I saw a white pick-up pull up in front of my neighbors home. I texted her to see if she was expecting anyone, she was not. At 9:35 am, my neighbor's roommate called me and sounded to be in a state of alarm and asked me to come over to the house. The contractors were in the house and starting to dismantle the showerhead from the bathroom wall. From approximately 9:37 am to 9:38 am I tried to reason with the man in the video asking him to leave the property and step outside. They were intent on 'taking back their property.' At 9:38 am, I started recording the man in the video taking a sledgehammer to the recently remodeled bathroom."

You can see what type of guy he is and who is in the wrong by the fact he left the toilet intact.
I had the same thought. He was showing plenty of restraint. He also never once acted threateningly toward them, despite how angry I'm sure he was. He wouldn't have undone his work if he'd thought there was any chance whatsoever of getting paid. This was obviously the final straw after weeks or months of trying to get compensated for his time and supplies.
@@ThisEpicLife she said she would pay him on Friday, she wanted to see the finished product before she payed the second half and wouldn't be home till then. Also if you look at finished photos of the bathroom, his work was rly bad and there was uneven tiles and mistakes in it so idk who's rly in the wrong.

She refused to pay the guy the majority of the bill because she said she wasn’t sure if she was happy with it yet. It’s done. Go in, look around, turn the faucets on and off, flush the toilet, take a shower. There’s no reason the bill can’t be paid. She simply thought she could do this and he would not have any way to retaliate. Wrong!

He did poor quality work
but he completely fucked up that work> it was terrible done so he got paid half amount and then the woman asked internet with pictures if this work is done correctly. It wasn't.
Always, always, always have a written contract. Even if the work is isn't up to par, that should be an item in the contract. That contract is the evidence needed to take to court. I've remodeled so many rooms in my house this past year, always had a contract, and resolved any disputes via the contract. Plus, do your research before hiring! Don't just take for granted that someone can do what you need. Get reviews from previous customers. So many reasons this did not have to happen.

I've read an article and a reddit thread about this guy with photos of his work and holy shit it was fucking horrendous.
You hire someone, you pay them. If the work really is that bad, they should have better researched the contractor lmao. Totally preventable, they probably hired him because he was cheap, then got cheap results.

Never do that, had contractors fuck my house up, caught one stealing on camera, and they bailed with my half. A real contractor doesn't need money up front. And fixes until it meets the customer's request.

I can't help but think we don't have enough information about this to form a solid opinion? I get not paying the bill affecting the contractor, but was there an issue which with the estimate? Materials? Did he try small claims court to collect?

Photos of the bathroom after he finished it showed a lot of mistakes and errors in his work, it looked pretty shitty. I'd say he is 100% in the wrong if u look more into it.

I’m thinking he’ll be paying for her new bathroom after he gets charges with vandalism and property damage. I’m trying to figure out how you spend “weeks” on a fairly small bathroom. At first I saw this and said I don’t blame him but then saw pics of the finished job and I wouldn’t pay the rest either. Uneven tiles huge grout lines. Really bad work. At least just say fix this first before I pay the rest. U are definitely entitled to a great job especially the kind of money it cost for full bathroom renovations..
