    "The Ethnic Origins of Beauty" (Les origines de la beauté) is a non-profit, artistic, documentary and research project about the ethnic diversity of mankind, presented through the beauty of women of all ethnic groups of the world.
    The objectif of this project is to show the real scale of ethnocultural diversity in a full, systematic and creative way; to illustrate each and every distinctive ethnicity, however small it is, and whatever its official status.
    The project “The Ethnic Origins of Beauty” received the acknowledgment of UNESCO and was first officially presented at an exhibition devoted to international women’s day in March 2014, at its Parisian headquarters.
    The project started in 2012, but it is only in the early stages of its realisation and in constant need of help. We would appreciate any kind of support, cooperation or partnership.

    Karelians are a Baltic Finnic ethnic group who are indigenous to the historical region of Karelia, which is today split between Finland and Russia. Karelians living in Russian Karelia are considered a distinct ethnic group closely related to Finnish Karelians, who are considered a subset of Finns. Wikipedia

      The blue sides of human eyes is meaningless. The rest of the person is very pretty. Guys like Andres are meaninglessly fascinated, or even brainwashed by his society to appreciate the eyes of nearly albino people. That's just how human eye color changes: As human beings are born with less and less pigments, the likelihood of eye color around the dark center, changes from brown to light brown to blue to beet red (baby born with zero pigmentation of skin, or other called an albino baby). In other words, even a full blooded albino will have an eye color "Beet red" and will have to wear sun glasses, as it's ugly. Even in other countries, if a baby is born in Indian parents with normal Indian skin color with with less pigmentation, the eye color may also be blue. There are give aways. The baby may grow up to be only 5 feet six inches as an adult in India. Whereas a white baby born in north Europe may be 6 feet tall as an adult. If even a Pakistani baby is born near albino skin condition (a persin born with no prgmentation, the eye color highly likely to be either beet-red or blue. The other kids in the same family in Pakistan may be born with normal skin color. But the facial features makes one confident that parents are common among the siblings. In other words, when Christopher Colombus had arrived in the Americans, few native Americans had already seen a local albino or two in the native American population, even before they set their sights on Colombus..

      Well, I have heard some stories that Finns and Irish had something long time ago, but cant remember what it was. Maybe it was just some selling and buying, but also fucking because that would explain the tiny part of your DNA. I write about Finns because before WW2 Karelia was Finnish territory and after the war we lost half of it to Russia. And when we are talking about DNA and genes, we must notice that Finns and Russians don't share the same genes. So if you have Karelia in you blood, don't worry, that doesn't make you a slav, but a mystical man from the North.

    UA-cam research yielded the following conclusions:: Both countries, including Finland and Imperial Russia deserve to get land and a piece of Karelia, before and after the winter war. As such, after ww2 most likely, Finland was given (back) some land out of Karelia province after ww2 by the winning Soviets. Population of Finland was 2.2 million. Small population of Finland was about the size of Queens of New York city. The Finns of Helsinki called this land (returned by Sovits) and rea "SOUTH KARELIA" which is part of another province of Finland, even though it is to the north of Russian province of Karelia. South Karelia is part of another province of Finland, and lies on the southern edge of Finland, and this may be the reason for it's name. ::: The difference was that the Romanov dynasty had started a brainwashing campaign of ethnic Karelians in the 30 odd Karelian villages of present day province of Karelia (it is called Republic of Karelia in Russia.) So the ethnic Karelians had Russian language Bibles in heir homes, which they said their great great grandfather was given as a gift by the ruling Czar at the time. (Imperial Swedes from 1617 may have called it a bribe) , Russian Bibles were given to every family of Karelia either in 1617 or later, or even much later by a newer czar or two, sometimes signed by the czar himself or by an official of the czars, proclaiming the Russian Bible as being a gift to all the villagers of that ethnic karelian village. (in other words a bribe too). Ethnic Karelians attended Orthodox church for a few centuries atleast, and most had either a Russian first name such as Tatiana or Irina, or some had a Russian last name, even before and after the Swedish gift of republic of Karelia province to newly independent republic of Finland. The ethnic Finns of Karelia (and Finns of greater Finland) likely got 25 percent of Karelia, as Soviet negotiators agreed that there were some Finnish locals living in Karelia, such as Finnish hunters and some Russian trappers in this land, besides the 60,000 ethic Karleians living in log cabins about 100 years before the construction of San Petersburg city, when it was likely no- man's land. This land and area carved out of Republic of Karelia which briefly became part of Russia again after ww2 and given back to Finland (Finland's area or province of South Karelia) after ww2 or after the winter war. Karelia was likely a wooded land of pine forests and other similar trees. All or Karelia and all of Finland itself was full of lakes and with about 30 odd villages of ethnic Karelians. Note that had there been no winter war, Stalin in demands had expressed a desire to acquire almost half of lands of Karelia closer to Saint Petersburg city, in exchange for other lakes and lands much further up north. In other words, Stalin wanted only about half of Karelia, and few other areas too, areas close to Saint Petersburg city. Because there was a winter war with many casualties suffered, Finland got less land(s) out of Republic of Karelia by the winning side. The Finns of Finland got the area which they call South - Karelia (it is not a state or province of Finland) after ww2, which is separate and on the other side of the international border where Russian province by the name "Republic of Karelia" is situated.

      As a Karelian born on the Russian side of Karelia and with 75 percent of my blood being Karelian, the very beginning of your thesis is very frustrating to me. The problem is, Karelia is neither Finland nor Russia it is Karelia. We had a state called Korela before Finns had any proto-state and it was independent until it started depending more and more on Novgorod. Our princes were called "Valit", the chosen one. At some point, Karelians even played a crucial role in the destruction of the Swedish capital at that time. Russia and Finland claim us to be "theirs" as we aren't even a subject anymore. Today's Karelians have assimilated both in Finland and Russia, it's true but we are still not Russian and not Finnish. We are people closely related to Finns but we are another Finnic tribe.

    Near the Finnish border, the government in Saint Petersburg (pronounced Sain - Peter-Boorg in Russia) recently had a demo of new artillery pieces by a Bolshevik manufacturer of artillery gunnery in about 1935 that can hit targets 26 miles from the artillery pieces. reason 1) The Finnish soldiers wore military uniforms similar to German Nazi uniforms to a layman. This raised red flags among the people living in Saint Petersburg, The border that time was 26 miles from Saint Petersburg. So they asked the Finns to move the border further away than 26 miles from Saint Petersburg, which to some is preposterous. The Bolsheviks promised to give Finns other lands filled with frozen lakes and pine forests in other areas bordering the two countries if the Finns move further away than 26 miles from Saint Petersburg. Finns turned this offer down, if I remember right from having read about it a few years back. This meant war. In 1926 while under Finnland, the population of Karelia province or state was 57.2 Russian. In 1939, the ethnic Russian population was 63 percent even while under Fin rule. Finland is a Scandinavian country of pine forests and frozen lakes with a small overall population of 4.7 million or so, similar to the population of greater Boston, and Finland has a modern area the size of new England states and Pennsylvania state put together. The karelians were for centuries attended Russian orthodox church. They claim that their current language larelian is a medieval form of Russian language of the medieval times. Russian orthodox church is a congregation of church goers independent of Rome since 988 AD, where the Sunday services and bible talks were similar to ancient Catholic church services, where churches no longer report to Rome since 988 AD. Karelia is now an area partly in Russia and partly in Finland with a native population of Karelian and Sami reindeer shepherds. Some birch bark document shows that the Karelians used medieval russian language in the first half of the 13th century. Written Karelian language is similar to medieval Russian texts of the 13th century and a few other centuries. Karlians are hard core Eastern Orthodox Christians while their language is an ancient form of Russian. If one copies old text and pastes it to Google search engine in "Translate", under Russian, just try translating it to English. the modern English meaning of the Karelian text translates thus, "(in the 13th century, The food of the orthodox Christian Karelian priests should not include dead deer lying on the road killed possibly by someone else who left the scene of the crime." Modern meaning of same translated text == Avoid eating meat of road kill animals." In other words to get a translation of karelian text, to English, just paste the medieval russian looking Karelian text to "Translate screen in Google search. Even if one ignores the ethmic russian majority in Karenia from the census of 1926 and 1939, the Karelian people there all seem to have Russian first names, like Eleina, Irina, Boris, and do not seem to mind at all being mistaken for being ethnic Russians. So Karelia should b part of Russia.

    • @Chokwik
      @Chokwik 3 роки тому +8

      ok Scott :D
      so the main part was 'should be part of Russia'.,
      let's say USA wants Island to be part of USA.. so, do the inuits care, or are they asked :D
      Karelians may have picked up words from slavic surroundings, like we finns may have picked up words from germanic/swedic surroundings., and also after western church started deciding our names, ofcourse naming became more western :D..., but anyways anyhow, across borders we still share some language, some root words, some culture :) people can identify how they want to, it's all good, alla god, kaik hyvin, отлично.. karjalan piirakkaa vaan kaikille., oh and btw just noticed finnish word piirakka in russian is pirog, пирог.. :) different letters, but some root still remain.
      greetings, health, terveiset to all people everywhere, take care of your own because the law setter won't do it for you :D muhc love

      As a Finn, I must correct some misinformation here: "They claim that their current language larelian is a medieval form of Russian language of the medieval times." Not true! " Karelian is closely related to the Finnish dialects spoken in eastern Finland, and some Finnish linguists have even classified Karelian as a dialect of Finnish, though in the modern day it is widely considered a separate language. " Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karelian_language
      And there are some incorrect "facts" too...

    True facts on Karelia instead of propaganda::: A clean example of why certain wars are bound to happen. Sweden as a kingdom had in earlier centuries conquered all of Finland and one province of Russia kingdom::: the Russian kingdom of Karelia which starts on the suburban outskirts of Saint Petersburg. . When Sweden gave independence to Finland, Sweden gave conquered Karelia province to newly independent Finland. Actually on maps imperial Sweden had already started drawing the maps of Karelia into the maps of Finland even before Sweden gave independence to Finland. Why should Finland give Karelia to Russia unless there is a war. This meant war:: There was a war. Next a war is bound to happen, as Finland will say Karelia belongs to them. Soviets created tiny north Karelia out of the bigger Karelia and tiny west Karelia, which they gave to Finland for the small Finnish population of Karelia.
