I got to Sacred Sheep around 12:10 and the line was only around the corner, not around the block. I had a great time in line chatting with other people about their sweaters and various knitting world news items. When we got in after about 45 min, they were still letting everyone right into the shopping and it was utterly packed. I had a hard time even getting close enough to see the yarns. Outside, it was also packed. Not a single seat at any of the tables. But it was nice to see everyone having fun and chatting. I did manage to buy a few things, through perseverance 🤣 I met Candace at FDF and bought raffle tickets for Sisters United. I also got the adorable Sacred Sheep tote. Could not resist that. Overall, I'd say it was a good start. Next year I hope they do timed tickets. I also wondered about some of the booth layouts that made it very difficult to get close to the products. Might need an even bigger space! Although, that event space IS super cool. It was pretty overwhelming though, and I headed home and just missed you! Then I went over to Starlight Knitting Society and saw the Tumalo trunk show and that really excited me. She's from Bend, OR and her yarn is gorgeous. I bought a few hanks and will be surprised if I don't buy more in the future.
Kate! I was so bummed we missed each other! It's going to happen I'll keep trying! The shopping experience was WAY better later in the day and even more so close to close. I'm ok with crowded as long as I don't get continuously bumped into that's when the panic sets in.
Your sweater turned out so lovely! I watch thee UA-cams on TV and can see your amazing stitch work! So neat! I’m a long time knitter who is a newbie knitter….as in I was a one scarf a decade until the pandemic and then became the one-trick scarf pony 😂. I have FINALLY moved in to hats so the KAL sounds like fun!
Leah we are so lucky that we are getting a few west coast festivals, I would like to travel to more in the future but it is so nice having some close ones too.
Lovely overview of the SSF - I've been out of the "scene" for a number of years and just picked up the needles again this fall, dusting off the Ravelry account, and picking up some knitting podcasts.. I used to go to Flock and Fiber every year when it was in Canby, but Albany seemed way too far this year, sadly I didn't hear about Sacred Sheep until yesterday. I hope to hit some yarn parties next year, hope to see you there!

Loved the tour of Sacred Sheep. In my part of the world craft festivals are very hard to come by but this was a very lovely substitute 😊
