- The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) army said it repelled an attempted coup in the capital Kinshasa, involving Congolese and foreign fighters on May 19. At least three people were killed in Kinshasa following a shootout between armed men in military uniform and guards of a top politician. Two guards and an assailant were killed in an attack on the home of Vital Kamerhe, a member of parliament, tipped to become speaker. A Facebook page, likely belonging to Christian Malanga, a US-based politician, posted a video in which he appeared to be leading the attack.

The lady is also experienced with matters of the eastern side of the DRC. She has worked in very great institutions of the country and therefore has great experience. There's a change in the structure of the new government. They want to appoint new ministers from different political parties this time not with the political party heads as candidates. I'm yet to be informed

DRC is not and NEVER was a French colony. It's former Belgian colony, before that king leopol 2 controlled the country. Germany briefly controlled Kongo, Rwandarundi- Rwanda and Burundi.
Because the Belgians in addition to speaking Dutch also speak French, they used it with their colony.
