please be supportive of otaku and make sure he knows we stand against bullying, against anyone taking advantage of chris, and that he should learn as much about chris as he can.

That's how I feel. Chris isn't a good person, but bullying and harrassing him just makes you an asshole. But so many of the weens out there don't get that. You can observe Chris, but trying to harass him is just dumb.

Chris Chan needed a true friend when he was in his adolescence, say about when he was like 15-22 years old. I think one could help Chris, when he was high school-college aged. But that was 20-30 years ago. Now he needs proffesional care, and needs to be isolated from the world for the saftey of him and others.
And yet he doesn't want help, he just wants to do what he wants and not listen to anyone. When people his friends told him to not sell his dad's stuff, get a job, leave the internet, he didn't listen. To anyone who won't feed his delusions
I do think it's possible to bring chris back to reality, unless he has legitimately developed schizophrenia or something. The trouble is whenever someone tries to talk some sense to him, he can just retreat to the internet where trolls and assorted idiots will just feed into his delusion so he never has to give it up. Chris will never change unless he is physically forced to. He needs to be removed from anywhere that has internet access because it's just too destructive to him.

I’m not against having no agency, but Chris is way, wayyyy beyond having freedom in this case. I really wonder what Chris could be like if they had psychiatric care, genuine medical guidance and not just time in a room.

Imagine getting upset at a guy named Otaku King for referencing anime while discussing something, especially something that is on the border of discussing philosophy as it is. Otaku King is litteraly just being himself and doing his job.
Not only is using anime references to try to get through to Chris okay, but comparing things to media is probably one of the only ways Chris would understand anything.
I feel kind of sad for Okatu king because he did genuinely wanted to help and reliazing his mistake that there is no helping Chris. If Okatu king still has it in him to help someone else; I hope he still tries to do good though with a grain of salt because I think he is capable of doing good for others instead of chris.
Maybe he should use that determination to help other low cows or other potential low cows

Sometimes I wonder if people who try to help out Chris know that he has a whole documentary. Chris is one of the easiest people to learn about, I wonder if there is an angle of “denial”
To me this really came full force with the Keffals situation. No research, no attempt to understand how Chris got to where he is now, and no acknowledgment of just how series his delusions are.
I mean to me, the best way to help someone is to learn about them. If anything, these last few months are going to strengthen the “no interaction” protocol.
I really do wish Chris was able to be helped. I wish Daniel Larson could be helped. It feels almost unfortunate, but accepting that the disabled have agency in their own lives means accepting that some will make the worst choices available, and reject any help in getting their shit together.
Otaku King clearly has a very sweet soul, and seems generally optimistic, perhaps to a fault. Even if he does come around to accepting that Chris is someone who doesn't want to be helped, he'll still probably hold onto a shred of hope that, eventually, Chris's mind will change, even though in the here-and-now, it's not worth the effort to actively try and help out.

Chris is still legally known as Christine Weston Chandler. There are rumors/rumblings that Chris is going to try to change it again to "Christ Chan Sonichu Jesus Weston Chanler Prime" but considering how silly that new legal name is and how Chris already changed their name twice I doubt the courts will allow it. Virginia has pretty strict laws for legal names like not being allowed to name yourself slurs, swear words, or something profane, provocative, or politically motivated.

I feel like Otaku King is just a little misguided with a bit of savior complex. Another thing to consider is that his Chris Chan videos are the most viewed videos on his channel, and while I don't believe he is doing this just for clicks, it is a considerable factor

The fact that every Chris Chan video Otaku King made got the most views on his channel should definitely NOT be overlooked. That's why I personally don't believe that he'll actually do anything. Otaku King is a UA-camr with a struggling channel, and any publicity would help him get noticed by more people. A good amount of UA-camrs who vaguely covered Chris for a little while got more subscribers the same way.
Oh I have been waiting to find some kind of update on how this guy is doing. Oh please dear Lord get him the HELL away from Chris for his own safety and mental well-being.
Chris is far beyond anything that a charity might be able to do for him. Chris does not need charity, he needs consequences and correction given to him by proper authorities.
Do not interact with Chris. He's a dangerous person, to himself and others. At this point the only people who should be talking to him are those with phycology degrees. Take the advice of smokeymcc, and just "Don't touch the poop"
The good ending for me is that he becomes boring again. People stop watching and donating. Of course Chris will keep uploading but no one will listen to his rambling. With no audience the people taking advantage of him move on. Chris will eventually run out of money and will have to join a facility that can watch over him. Barb will peacefully slip into oblivion.
The bad ending is that this keeps going on, Chris keeps thinking he's God. People new to him keep giving him views and money. Only for him to waste it on games, toys and trips to Cons. The people taking advantage of him will keep milking him for money. Eventually Chris will do something or say something that will get him cancelled. He'll end up in the streets and Barb will peacefully slip into oblivion.
Chris already seems a step or two away from being out on the streets. Watch Chris get on the bad side of the praetors, like he does with everyone and you realize, it could happen very easily.

To tell you the truth, as a minor christorian myself, I'm actually unaware of people who've been damaged by contacting chris. I think Otaku King is a good person with genuine good intentions. He was committed to helping Chris. But once hearing about barb it looks to me that he doesnt mean to excuse SA. But was repulsed by the idea that he was helping someone that commited SA against their mother, and was trying to maintain psychological consistency. It goes along with him having doubts about Chris's innocence. Hes barganning with himself, before accepting that Chris is not innocent and he needs to reevaluate the situation.

If the Otaku King was truly a friend trying to help Chris, then this would have been done discreetly and quietly. He's just some Dollar Tree low budget Gibi; some guy that randomly bumped into Chris one time; who the hell is he to tell Chris what to and what not to do?
You might not like it Gibi but Chris faced the consequences of his actions by sitting in jail longer than he statutorily should have. Apparently you are of the opinion that Chris needs more punishment beyond that. At the very least you should specify how for the sake of preventing some delusional person from "giving Chris the punishment he deserves'. Say how you want him to be punished and be done with it.
Socially Chris is even more of a pariah and is persona non grata in the few group hobbies that he wants to enjoy.
Ive stated before that I think he should be on the sex offender list, and that he should be demonetized on UA-cam.
UA-cam is a privilege and it has taken tougher stances for way less; it is certainly not consistent. They should not only de-monetize but de-platforn Chris for his own benefit to end potential exploitation.
Chris' name going into the registry might not be to his benefit. He's going to be an indigent pauper for the remainder of his life and no doubt will need to rely on subsidized housing; those public services may exclude people on certain lists.
Listing a person probably isn't used purely as a punitive measure in every case. Besides Barb probably still loves Chris and should live the rest of her days knowing her son will be OK; there is a certain justice to that.
One would hope with all the evaluations the mental health professionals concluded Chris' chances of hurting anyone else was nil with the correct support system.

If Otaku King thought that he could genuinely save Chris, he would've tried already. This just screams: "Notice, me, Senpai!!" I get Chris is the more interesting person to talk about, but Barb’s influence on Christory should not be overlooked or understated. What Barb went through was ultimately the result of her actions, not Chris.
