The new Alpha Build for War Within dropped and with it, we have access to Hallowfall! We had a glimpse of this zone last week, but nothing could prepare me for the beauty of what the Devs had created. Genuinely might become my new favourite zone to just hang out in!
We've got plenty more videos coming in over the next week so be sure to give a thumbs up and subscribe! - Ігри
I've always admired the atmosphere in landscape design for WoW but the opening of this video and the drop just made me pause. As an artist this is just absolute inspiration. Thanks for the share
It's absolutely something special! I'd love to know who came up with the idea and the executed on it.
The best thing I'm looking for is to dive into the abyss, from hallowfall and ringing deeps to azj-kahet, it must feel epic
We've not had the opportunity yet, but you can BET I'll have a video of that when it's open
My god the verticality is insane!
It's WILD how large the zone is. It genuinely feels like an outdoor area even though it's in a cave!
Love the detail of the sunflowers facing the crystal
They've been excellent at adding little.detsils like this in the zones recently!
I wondered how true the "it won't feel like we're underground" claims would turn out to be but man...this is beautiful. Awesome video, really captures the zone
Thank you! I knew I wanted to get into here as soon as we got a glimpse in the last Alpha Build.
It's just incredible.
The scale is jaw dropping, and I love how the layout allows for future zones to be added across the sea. It’s beautiful
Or maybe even under the sea? 👀
The atmosphere is so relaxing that I almost fall asleep.
It really is a relaxing zone.
Until you get into the zones where the Ahzj-Kahet forces are waiting 🤣
The zone looks actually insane ... cant wait to quest there :D
Without spoiling anything (especially the videos coming up this weekend), it's an absolute treat.
Wooow !!! One of the most insane zone I have ever seen in WoW. That looks amazing !
It's wild how good it looks, not only with the crystal but also when you head down into some of the towns and such.
Oh man I really want to explore the Holy Zone of Hallowfall of the Arathi Empire. So Beautiful and Epic Zone.
I like the name "Holy Zone"! Gives it gravitas!
now this is what i like..the scale is insane
Yeah, its HUGE
reminds me of Made in Abyss
I'm not sure what that is. Another game?
@@Kexman it is a japanese manga about exploring a giant hole in the ground with multiple layers, each layer has a different biome
same
Thanks, I enjoyed that! Would love to see more. 🤩
Oh don't worry, there's plenty more coming!
WOW went into the world of Godzilla's hollow earth
what's the music in the first 4 minutes in the background called? heard it somewhere in wow but forgot where
I'm pretty sure it's from my favourite WoW starting zone: Mulgore :)
Thank you 🙏 😊
You're welcome! There's going to be a lot more Alpha content on here!
Incredible.
It really is!
This should be an evergreen zone. Bring it to the surface somehow. I don't wanna leave this place after the expansion.
Yeah, I'd agree with that. I'd need to have portals to this place in EVERY major city.
i have a feeling were gonna have to unstuck the space ship and in the process it leaves a gaping hole lol
@Chitown18 oh you think the crystal is a spaceship? Similar to the Draenai one?
So Amazing WOW
It's pretty special!
really biggest zone
It's absolutely HUGE!
getting heavy elden ring vibes
Yeah, I can see that for sure. Azhj-Kahet could end up being Caelid 😅
Wonder what's on the other side of the lake? Lol.
Hopefully we find out in a patch!
Damn this might be my top 5 zones of the whole game now!
Can you go near the crystal or far away into the interior ocean?
You can get pretty far into the ocean, but not really close to the crystal as there's an invisible wall.
It's certainly made my top 5, probably my top 3 tbf.
@@Kexman Arf, I thought we could have haha but damn it's awesome, it remind me of Journey to the center of the Earth of Jules Verne ^^
@@kaiserstritz136 I mean....there's always patches >.>
There is some nasty giant floating squid mob up there though...
@@BluWartortle There is! And we can't et to them yet!
I'm only missing some vibrant coloring in this zone. The thing that broke through some sort of shield looks epic though
We do get some in the Azhj-Kahet areas but I know what you mean!
can you reach the crystal or its skybox?
I did try, and you can get very far out, but there's an invisible wall that stops you from getting close.
Is that crystal actually the tip of Sageras sword?
It isn't! We don't know what it is, but it's definitely not the sword.
i have a feeling that there will be a underwater zone in that sea
it does seem a bit big to not have anything else in it......
elden ring vibes
Azhj-Kahet could end up being our Caelid.
Imagine trying to traverse this with no flying lol it would be Naztajar all over again but 10x worse
Hallowfall looks huge but ringing deeps looks incredibly small and they all look small compared to DF zones
Ringing Deeps is actually pretty massive but it's not as wide. The length of it alongside the verticality does actually make it a very big zone, but it feels different.
What happens when the crystal changes to purple?
So it seems to be every three hours or so that it changes. It only lasts for 30 minutes but the whole zone gets put in this deep purple lighting. It's very beautiful!
@@Kexman Does anything else change once it's activated like npcs or do more enemies appear? Or is just simple a environmental change.
@@hellothere8812 At the moment, it's just an enviromental change. I could see them doing more with it though!
How big is this zone . What the heck
It's MASSIVE! One of the most impressively sized zones in a while
Nagrand from TBC is still my favorite zone, great memories from there and some of the best zone music in the game. Seems like a lifetime ago now. Then came Revendreth which I absolutely love, but now this zone is really catching my eye. Can't wait to explore it.
Both Nagrand and Revendreth really caught my attention when playing, but this one is something special. It really is incredible
So basically its a huge huge cave inside azeroth
It's a STONKING huge cave in Azeroth, with a lot of interesting things to discover!
Finally some whimsy.
There's a good balance of whimsy and darknness!
This is one zone?
Yup! All one zone that is directly connected to the other zones!
WOW, and I really mean WOW, not world of warcraft
Why wouldn't they make the main city in this zone what a missed opportunity
Exactly. Dwarf stuff is so meh
because people dont like being underground 24/7 lmao you must've missed the complaints in dragonflight
I hope they make doing things in the open world actually interesting and worth exploring.
From what I've seen so far of the zones, there's a lot of cool little nooks and treasures to find as you explore!
The last zone had a Kaja'Cola vending machine in it!
@@Kexman crossing my fingers its good. Real excited to play Lightsmith, but sitting in the city between raids and m+ is so boring v.v
@@gohomehero You won't be bored in this expansion, that's for sure!
That's got to be the tip of Sargeras sword, I know Ion said it wasn't but I mean come on.
It's actually not. Without spoiling anything, it's explained in the zone that it isn't the sword.
Looks nothing like his sword
@@Kexman i did not even play it but id assume it has things with narru
This zone is deep under the west coast of Pandaria. In order for the tip of the Sword to be there, it would need to be Z-shaped.
@@deployed246 Well I don't have alpha so small details like this always escape me lol
I dunno, I don't like this. Looks too samey-samey to Zaralek Cavern but in game's defense I don't find caves to be very exciting inherently
I can understand that. I also have a flythrough of Ringing Deeps too which has a similar feel.
I will say, that when you're actually in the zone questing and playing, it does not feel enclosed at all. It feelsl ike an open world zone.
@@Kexman Im also concerned that it'll be a claustrophobic for a lack of a better term expansion, followed by midnight which presumably will also lack some open world sunlight
@@Rinley The Isle of Dorn is very open, as is Hallowfall. It's very open when you're underground and it doesn't actually feel like you're in a cave.
@@Kexman Yeah I understand. However it's more like conceptual to me, I don't know how to explain it. I just don't want 80% of the world in world of warcraft of current content to be caves of warcraft.
@@Rinley Oh, I 100% get that. I do think we'll probably return to the surface in one of the patches, plus I imagine the next expansion will be ALL above ground too.
No, tbc Nagrand is still the best
I say this as someone that had TBC Nagrand in my Top 3.....this blows it out of the water in my eyes.
Nagrand still the best. This is beautiful but soulless.
@@TheCunka1302 I dunno about that one, it certainly doesn't feel soulless playing through it.
@@TheCunka1302 go back to classic, andy
unpopular opinion: flying ruined the vibe of wow, because everything seems so small and reachable
That's not an unpopular oppinion at all. Most boomers say the same
I would usually agree but ironically I think this zone would be the exception. They did a great job with the scale and art making it feel massive.
it was when the zones were still super tiny. now they're massive with multiple vertical levels
Yeah, for the older zones I'd agree. However, the larger zones we've been getting actually work in it's favour.
Isle of Dorn, Ringing Deeps, and now Hallowfall; they've all felt HUGE in their own way.
@@Kexman With parts of Quel'thalas being made bigger in Midnight, and hopefully many/all of the zones north of the Thandol Span getting similar treatment, we might eventually have the scale issue of pre-Legion zones improved, but since they've only mentioned rescaling for Quel'thalas so far, my hopes of the _Kingdom_ of Alterac to be larger a garden shed will have to wait.
Would have been the best zone, but unfortunately I have quit because of that Faerin "Lothar" woke BS. I refuse to partake in such a farcical universe.
Your cutting off point for a "farcical universe" is because of one character? What makes her so bad?
@@Kexman It makes no sense for her to be a Lothar while Anduin Lothar is white as snow… Even if she is a distant relative it makes no sense. It's clear that they are pushing an extremely liberal and woke agenda, they are trying to please their BlackRock masters to boost their ESG score. This character makes no sense and is there just to check all boxes for "diversity" - strong woman character, black, crippled.
It is not only that character that made me decide to part ways… This has been going on for some time now, and has accelerated greatly in the last 5-6 years. Black Elves, black Dwarves/Gnomes, homosexual NPCs, transsexual NPCs… Just horrendously woke propaganda shoved down our throats while the actual lore and story that was once the focus has gone down the drain.
you wont be missed lmao
