Hello Phoenix Resale i watch your show abd Retro rick and ricky and most of your friends. I respect you guys alote for making a good video and making money. Back in the 90s& early 2000s. I use to do that. I was good i would make money & store credit & get consoles abd games. Last tine i did that was in 2016 and 2017
Its way tougher now to hustle and flip games especially in A Cold State like Illinois. But if you ever around Chicago Illinois. Let me know because i have a Large collection of games. I can sell a few of them to you. But i think if you see my game collection you'll be like disappointed that u might not be able to make a profit. Blessings
@@fidelsolis6070 You are better off selling to gamestop than that excuse of a human being. Pheonix resale extorts people for deals by pointing cameras at them.
Hey Caleb, I'm sorry to say that the Tsum Tsum Festival Joy-Con is fake. The decorations are not THAT white, they are ver subtle on the originals, and also the back is missing all the logos and info for the joy-con itself.
Riff editing your videos has made them so good, I've been watching you for over a year now and it just works so well, especially when you ask him to do something and we just get a note pop up saying "Nope" or a little video saying that your busy. I look forward to your next videos and hope you get to go visit Retro Rick's store at some point, would love to see you go do a massive trade in for credit and pick up some of his Switch collection he traded in. Keep it up man, good videos, interesting content, glad your finger healed after the skateboarding "mishap" on Pixel Squad video the other week, looks pretty bad.
I love my local disc replay. As a reseller, I always try to maximize the buy 5 get one free. Stack on the 20% off and you start to get some margin especially with their fair prices. Also, the employees at my store will help with little things. Free cartridge cases, buying multiple games and pricing both at the lower price, matching lower price but letting me get the higher quality game
They put stickers on barcodes so that new workers don’t scan those by accident and it messes up inventory. It’s for check out and putting items in inventory. When I was a manager at amazon we did the same thing. A lot of items don’t use the UPC directly on them.
You're 100% right about Culver's that place SLAMS also it always makes me laugh when I see a million different sports games in a wide view of a game shelf. Like all the Maddens and 2Ks just hold 0 value
I think we should all just take a moment to appreciate the money and effort Caleb puts into these videos that we all love so much cant wait for this video much love to all of you by the way!
I mean if he’s smart he uses his UA-cam revenue to buy these games n stuff so it’s not really him paying it’s us😭 we view and like and comment which makes him more money
You made me get back into collecting retro video games and I couldn’t thank you enough! My switch collection is up to 25 games and my game boy advance collection is up to 20 games with 2 Complete in boxes! I also just got a GBA SP Ags 101 that I love!
@@fidelsolis6070 Thats awesome! I love building my collection up! It’s tough that the retro gaming scene is through the roof now but I just get what I can when I have extra money and appreciate what I do have in my collection already when I have to go through droughts of not getting games for months at a time sometimes but there’s nothing better then finding switch games on sale when Amazon or Walmart have good deals in the site!
So true i can relate. With all this inflation and winter around i barely buy games. But when i do ita mostly Nintendo switch games. I barely see stuff on sale at Wal-Mart nust on black friday.
Nice going on getting Dragon Quest Builders, Caleb! I'm sure you're gonna have a blast with that game! And then sink 100's of hours and probably buy DQ Builders 2! I remember when I tried getting into Minecraft, got soo lost on what to build and how to survive, but DQ Builders really eased me into building step by step! Also comes with great plot!
15:35 ish, you should definitely get Nier: Automata for your collection (left side) "Divinity Original Sin 2" is one of the best turn based, RPG games out there. It's one of my favorite games as well. There are so many ways to play and do what you want. (Not talking bout JRPGs) It's a rather long game, but if you play the games in your collection then I would definitely play that one.
Disc replay is a very good place to buy retro games. Over by me in Michigan I have two. Sometimes keep an eye out for a game that you want and if they have multiple copy's check the price some are cheaper.
So close to Wisconsin where I stay. So many great video game stores in the Kenosha, Racine, Milwaukee, Madison, Oconomowoc, Waukesha, and Menomonee Falls areas. Need to watch the rest of these. I was going to do an Illinois trip eventually for more video game hunting.
Just an idea if you haven't already done so, how about a video of your top finds you flipped all of 2022? Start off with showing the find then give a little insight on how well it sold for you.
I absolute love that your videos motivate me to go outside search for games, i think that meant that you doing your job super cool and it even feel tasty!
Glad you finally picked up "Unravel Two" - me and my missus love playing this co-op and I've heard you mention playing co-op with your wife before. Enjoy 👍🏻
Sorry to say Caleb that I think that Disney Tsum Tsum joycon is a fake. The pattern on the real joycon is more subtle, I didn’t see the Nintendo trademark on the back of the joycon, and the joycons didn’t have the Tri wing screws either.
I check that IL disc replay for atari stuff every now and then. Sadly half price books are really hit and miss around Indiana. That disc replay you hit is a pretty good one.
In future videos, can Editor Riff please give his opinions on the games acquired when Phoenix is placing on the shelf? I think a Lolz or Nice Filler would have been perfect when placing the GI Joe game for instance.
20:35 I'm actually in the exact same boat as you. Been a nintendo guy all my life, but I have NEVER played a second of a Metroid franchise game, yet I main Zero Suit Samus on Smash lol.
Hey Caleb, i can answer the whole punch mystery. There is/was a Sony factory near this location that gave a bunch of employees free copies as a "bonus". A lot of them are in my collection as well. Sometimes you can find super rare stuff too that's limited print only :)
I can confirm this is true. I used to work for GameStop in SoCal and we were super close to all the Sony offices. They’re employees would often come in and trade them in with the punch outs through the barcodes to get games they actually wanted.
watching this a year after it released so dont dog the prices were different at time of filming but that first store had 2 copies of pokemon black for 64 bucks. That is an incredible price for those games. Today they're wroth like 120-200 dollars
I’m glad he thinks Culver’s is good because it was actually started in my home state of Wisconsin and it is pretty good. Their Swiss burger is to die for.
Isn't that joycon the Temu knockoff? it looks just like the ones in the temu review of switch accessories. the original has a more faded print on the controller right?
Hi phoenix! Love the videos. I know this is a year old but i just wanted to point out the tsum tsum joycon you bought is indeed a fake. The back of the joycon doesnt have the nintendo watermark/logo and info which all genuine joycons have. Also The screws on the back have regular phillips head screws on the other hand a genuine joycons are fitted with tri point screws. I hope you didnt sell this as genuine but if so its ok. these are tricky to spot sometimes
i hope u enjoyed disc replay and got some steak and shake afterwards! haha , my favorate game store is the 1st store u went too! go there all the time!!
Great choices! I've heard no mans sky had quite the comeback i actually would like to try it sometime. Love your videos. Started collecting for switch as well, I really like the smaller cases great for storing. Best of luck hunting !
i didnt know drill dozer was worth so much. I remember buying a copy from burlington a long time ago. Im pretty sure it was the last gba game i bought as a child
If you want to know why No Man's Sky has a mixxed reception, look up the "engoodening of no man's sky" by the internet historian. An interesting documentary of how an inexperiened Indie Studio handled their First AAA priced release and flop
Do you have a video dedicated to details of reselling, I am interesting in maybe trying it, but it seems like a lot. For example shipping, how would that work, and what do you do when an item doesnt retun expected value??

Seeing my local illinois disc replay in a video was crazy 🤯
Same here
I just thought the same thing. I was there yesterday😂
I love watching Phoenix Resale always puts me in a good mood 😊
Also Retro Rick, is really fun to watch too!
Cool. Me too. I see him and Retro rick and the others
Culvers is definitely a top tier underrated franchise
I was very surprised to see that you were in my town. Thanks for stopping in Champaign IL!

Caleb, really enjoying these mission Switch videos. Keep up the great content and give Riff another raise!

Game and character is retro now
Weird but I appreciate you trying to be sensitive (whispering) when you see people around you when you record. Great channel!
10:46 Editor Riff is so hilarious 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Elsie voice overs cracked me up 3 times this vid 😂
They got rid of our Disc Replay here in Springfield IL, I am glad to see they are still around. One of my favorite places to go.

What app does he use to scan the barcodes and get a price estimate after fees?
I don't know if this is still relevant to you, but I think he uses the Amazon Seller app. Not sure, but I think so.
Riff had me laughing so hard, keep up the great content guys
I already know this gonna be a banger
12:07 should’ve got the ozzy Osborne funko pop behind you. Depending on price you could’ve missed out on a huge score!
Senran kagura is one of my favorite series. It’s the only series where I have 100% completed every game available.
I check that IL disc replay for atari stuff every now and then. Sadly half price books are really hit and miss around Indiana. That disc replay you hit is a pretty good one.
The fact that he uses stardew valley music in the background cheers me up so much. The game is so nostalgic for me

Yes, I agree. Get/Hunt that Nin-Switch kiosk for your gaming room.
Hi Phoenix don’t worry that sealed smash bros has been at that disc replay for over a year
Chris talus , lmao it's pronounced Chris tails "Cris Tales"

Should have tried the Naperville or Downers Grove Disc Replay. I've always done good there.
There decent..Here I'm Chicago Illinois there s nothing. Except me o have a couple of bundles. But not near other retro collectors..
as a resident of indiana, pleasure to see you in our state
Caleb deserves a special place in hell for cleaning out every game store out of good deals.
I've had Culver's 2x in the last 3yrs I've lived in Illinois and got Food Poisoning both times. They were also 2 different Culvers
I’m glad he thinks Culver’s is good because it was actually started in my home state of Wisconsin and it is pretty good. Their Swiss burger is to die for.
Culvers is 100% slept on. Best burgers in the game in my opinion.
This was a fun one!!! Love all your vids. SO FUN and entertaining.
We live in the same area. Thats cool were finally on the map!
Love the videos Caleb! Can't wait for this one.
