- Spent another day filming at various locations. As you can see this camera can achieve very nice bokeh effects even for a MFT sensor.

Amazing shots! They all had amazing depth, composition, and perfect grading! You have a good eye. :)
+AedinCinema Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you liked the video!
Nice.
robbyboyo Thank you :)
wow. what lense are you using? this stuff looks incredible. seriously. best looking 4K i've seen period. Watching on my Sony xbr 55" 4K tv. Blowing my mind right now.
I primarily use the Lumix 12-35mm f2.8, but I also shot a few clips with the cheaper Lumix 45-150mm f4.0-5.6. I try to shoot with the 12-35 as much as possible because it produces a clearer image then the 45-150.
Really great shots and color grading
Thank you! :)
no pb :) If you have time, check my vids one day ;)
Yooo these colors are amazing ! Been practicing for months to achieve the "cinematic" look with the gh4 what do you use to color grade gh4 LUTS? shooting on Cine-D? let me know if you can nice work
+Lost TV Thanks you! :) I used CineD with these settings: -3,-3,-5, -3, 0. I applied a LUT in post and added a bit of contrast. Finally I made some tweaks in the color corrector in premier pro.
I like the way you pulled focus on a lot of the shots. Far better cinematically than other people's static landscapes that concentrate only on the near or the far. Did you use focus peaking on the Shogun to maintain focus? Some of the focus pulls are very subtle. Good work.
+Joseph Lippencott Thank you Joseph, I appreciate your comment. I only use focus peaking on certain occasions. The shogun has a crisp monitor, so it's pretty easy to see where the focus is.
Awesome footage man! I'm curious as to what rig you're using, clearly a shoulder right?
+Austen Hallett Thank you! All shots were either on a tripod or a slider :)
Some lovely footage here. What picture profile did you use?
Joe Clark Thanks Joe! I use Cine-D.
How has your 12-35mm lens held up over time? I've gone through two because the focus ring keeps getting sticky and I can't pull a smooth focus. Awesome work by the way!
Wow that's scary. Mine has held up fine so far, but I'm going to be paranoid from now on haha.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Great work!! Inspiring for handcrafted sound design as well. Would be a pleasure to collaborate with you. Congratulations and thank you for the immersive images.
+Hugo Pereira Sound Thank you so much! I'd love to collaborate with you sometime. I checked out your channel and love your work. Contact me here: cinema-light@outlook.com
Nice, The effect bokeh with which of both lenses you obtain it more loudly?
+tenerife84 Thanks! The Lumix 12-35mm gives the best bokeh effect between the two lenses because the aperture can open to a f2.8. If you are shooting on a smaller sensor like a APS-C or Micro than get a lens that can open wide - minimum I'd recommend is f2.8. To maintain the wide aperture while shooting in the sun use ND's. Hope that helps!
How did you make this bokeh? using F2.8
Very cool. Did you use an ND filter for any of the shots? Just curious, because I find my video is easily blown out if I'm shooting outside during the day.
Bob Finn Thanks! Yes I always use ND's while filming on sunny days. It can be difficult to find the balance between exposed and overexposed on this camera due to its latitude, but with practice it'll get easier. Thanks for watching!
Which kind do you suggest?
Bob Finn I bought something similar to this: m.ebay.com/itm/52MM-Filter-Kit-UV-CPL-FLD-ND-2-4-8-Set-for-Canon-Nikon-Sony-DSLR-Camera-Lens-/191008452347?hash=item2c78fdaefb%3Ag%3Aj-wAAOSwN81XNWsd&_trkparms=pageci%253Aab4f094c-3006-11e7-9032-74dbd1804045%257Cparentrq%253Ace8e548e15b0aa12e18179b4fffcbdaf%257Ciid%253A2
You can buy kits that are higher quality and more expensive, but my inexpensive kit works great. Mainly you want a kit that has at least ND2, ND4 and ND8.
Thanks for enlightening me. This is a big help.
