First impressions, Forkner is a great personality , free talker and is great to hear speak his honest opinion. What I’m hearing is that he will never win an outdoor overall or even a moto because he’s not fully committed to the grind that the top outdoors guys are. Not knocking him at all the honesty is refreshing. He and his teammate are two of my favorites but explains why he’s average outdoors.

I don't think that's why. I think it's because he's a similar muscle type to roczen. Austin is a monster early in races, fades bc he's a fast twitch guy. He can train as much as he wants but a sprinter will never be a long distance runner and same for a long distance runner turning into a sprinter. That's what makes the end of races so exciting, some are building at the end of races (deegan/webb) and some are fading (roczen/forkner)

I raced Karts for a number of years. When Austin spoke about lap times and if you are locked in or it just comes as far as keeping a consistent lap time.. can confirm, you have to be locked in, hitting your marks every single lap. You have to stay on the exact race line and not a bit wide around a corner or your lap time is down. Even at the speed of a kart, being just off is going to limit the lap time. Imagine a berm blowing out, you come for the corner slower. Well, cars are effected the same if you come in to fast, it causes a slow exit and you loose time to the kart/car in front/ behind.

On the topic of muscles not firing/being extremely weak, despite efforts to strengthen. I had major trauma to my back from a dirtbike accident years ago. Long story short, there are very few doctors who know about it, but there is a technique that will re-sync your nerves, and “turn your muscles back on”. It sounds stupid and crazy, I know. But this literally changed my life, and the life’s of many family members who were living with extreme pain

Austin is an incredible testimony. 90% of humans would be bitter and jealous if they would have lived through the disappointments that he has endured.
I'm sure he has his moments of reflection when he does question God. But, this kid is so present and in the now and you can tell in his clear eyes and smile and his animation that he is a true lover of life!
The sad reality is that Austin has a very slim chance of ever getting a title. But, I can see him being like a Kenny and will have a few shining moments of glory while soaking in the pleasure and enjoyment of the sport.
His personality is engaging. And, energetic. And, passionate. All are traits that would be a terrific addition to a broadcast booth.
Sorry, AC, you're a nice guy, but you're very vanilla dull.
Best of luck to Austin. Praying for the end to your injuries. Hopefully we'll see you on the starting gate very soon.

Who wants to count how many times Austin used the word " Like " in this podcast?

Mixing the nationals with Supercross would be a horrible idea. It’s already been done and if a rider is hurt it now affects two championships.

I’m not really a Forkner fan but I’ll admit the kid has grit. He just can’t get a good season

If I had crashed as many times as Forkner, I would view that as a sign from God! It seems to me like he has another path for Austin! With that being said…. My plan at BEST is mediocre in comparison to plan God has for me. That applies to everyone who believes and even for the ones who don’t. I just hope everyone who reads this will think about that for a second.

Here’s an idea. Let’s mix in all the motos during supercross season that way there’s breaks plus it changes things up plus it would be cooler so much so that you could have a couple motos in the south east.
