I’ve no intention of going anywhere near a track except to watch people with more skill & ability than I’ve ever had, I’m a 71yo and should have more sense at my age it’s just that I haven’t 😂
I always loved the street and speed Tripple. I'm glad to see the platform being refined over the years to offer more performance instead of being a do it all commuter bike.
Just brought my '17RS in for its 30k km service... Dealer really wanted it off me since they have no pre-owned STriples at the moment. So I went along for a test ride with a 2020 one. The gearbox, especially the blipper, what a joy to have! The enhanced midrange is a nice plus. Also it sound really nice! But... I still went home on my '17.
I actually preferred the old dame edna headlights. I'm not a fan of these new more waspy lights. That being said it's a triumph triple so I wouldn't turn it down! 😅
Lol just need some predator dreadlocks hanging off the side to complete the look. Something about the shape and it how it hangs low and out front just doesn’t do it for me.
I am so sad... you see, I had a first gen, and I thought it was a perfect bike. Then my friend got an RS, and I knew it was a perfecter bike. This sounds just incredible, and I expect the 2021 will be even more amazing. Just wonderful. And thank you for this great review.
Awesome review as always. As someone with an 18 RS that's on street duty 99% of the time, this thing does look like it has some awesome new features. Shame about the blipper not fitting on the 17-19 but to be honest call me medieval but matching a downshift is such an awesome feeling, and the slipper on this thing is insanely good anyway even if you managed to goof it somehow. I think what's got me a bit miffed is only the fact that they've retained the price, and two years later the engine sounds like it's better than I already think it is. Just how it goes! Such a fun bike.
I've had my 2020 Street Triple RS for about a month and absolutely love it! Already put like 3600 miles on her and love every second! I had a 2013 675 before this and couldn't justify switching to any other bike!
From absolutely loathing the looks of the previous generations of street triples to falling in love with the appeal of this one, I cannot see any other naked middleweight bike competing with the finesse and refinement of this bike. I might actually end up buying this one.
@@Flip01 The 765 is MUCH lighter, handles better, is faster (even with a cubic deficiency) and feels like a newer machine. The Speed is an ageing bike...

True. Also an amazing bike with excellent geometry and somewhat torquey low-midrange for a 600s series. I was torn between the RS and the ZX-6R for a track capable sporty machine, but I'm landing on the RS for the fun factor.
How do those SC v3 tyres feel on the road? Do they actually have decent grip from cold? I've never liked SCs myself, it's a good track tyre but I was never a fan of them on the road, because they just couldn't get heat into themselves on the highway at the speed limit. Personally I think the Rosso III should be the OE tyres fitted to the flagship bikes because it's almost as good as the SC on the track with much longer track life, and the cold road and wet road grip is just on a different level to the SCs

RST custom puppies 😍
Great review as usual. Nice bike but I can’t stand those tacky red stripes. Just give my gloss black and gold wheels please Triumph. No garbage stripes. I’ll be keeping my 2015 Street RX
Was this bike as fun as the Ducati Hyper Motard 950 SP?
Angry Bird look! Not sure there is enough to sell my 2018 RS for a 2020. I am sure we will be able to get the auto-blipper on 2017-19 models. Rest is the same. Added midrange sure is nice but I rather rev the @#$$% out of mine :)
He said it wont fit those years
The bike I would compare is the 790 Duke? I feel like that is in the same class...
Interested to see how much Neeves was on the brakes on the road.. lots.
