    I can't get over how great this channel is. No other motorcycle-related channel comes close. I like MCN and Bike World, but the quality, the detail and personality here is just above and beyond. There should be 5 million subscribers. I honestly don't understand how UA-cam isn't recommending this to everyone who watches bike stuff. If you guys had a $10/mo tier I'd pay that.

      @@FrankFurther I love Fortnine as well, but this channel has a silly vibe that resonates better with me. It's also more focused on the style of bikes and riding that I do (jizz machines, sport riding).
      I get why you'd have that opinion, but to me, FortNine is boring compared to this channel. This is a channel for people with ADHD

    I’ve bought an almost new one of these in July 21, I was just attracted by the whole balance of weight, power and usability. I’ve no intention of going anywhere near a track except to watch people with more skill & ability than I’ve ever had, I’m a 71yo and should have more sense at my age it’s just that I haven’t 😂

    Just brought my '17RS in for its 30k km service... Dealer really wanted it off me since they have no pre-owned STriples at the moment. So I went along for a test ride with a 2020 one. The gearbox, especially the blipper, what a joy to have! The enhanced midrange is a nice plus. Also it sound really nice! But... I still went home on my '17.

    I am so sad...
    you see, I had a first gen, and I thought it was a perfect bike.
    Then my friend got an RS, and I knew it was a perfecter bike.
    I grew up at the tail of the malase era of automobiles, and knew that if I wanted something good, it would be older and need me to restore it. But now, now if you buy a used bike, you know the new ones are better, and if you buy a new one, you know next years will be better. This sounds just incredible, and I expect the 2021 will be even more amazing.
    Just wonderful.
    And thank you for this great review.

    Awesome review as always. As someone with an 18 RS that's on street duty 99% of the time, this thing does look like it has some awesome new features. Shame about the blipper not fitting on the 17-19 but to be honest call me medieval but matching a downshift is such an awesome feeling, and the slipper on this thing is insanely good anyway even if you managed to goof it somehow. I think what's got me a bit miffed is only the fact that they've retained the price, and two years later the engine sounds like it's better than I already think it is. Just how it goes! Such a fun bike.

      True. Also an amazing bike with excellent geometry and somewhat torquey low-midrange for a 600s series. I was torn between the RS and the ZX-6R for a track capable sporty machine, but I'm landing on the RS for the fun factor.

    How do those SC v3 tyres feel on the road? Do they actually have decent grip from cold? I've never liked SCs myself, it's a good track tyre but I was never a fan of them on the road, because they just couldn't get heat into themselves on the highway at the speed limit.
    Personally I think the Rosso III should be the OE tyres fitted to the flagship bikes because it's almost as good as the SC on the track with much longer track life, and the cold road and wet road grip is just on a different level to the SCs

    Bloke in his mid 40s here. Current bike is a 959 Panigale and to be honest the back, wrists and neck are struggling these days. I'm looking for an upright and the 2020 Street Triple ticks all the right boxes - I think! Has anyone ridden both? What am I likely to miss about the Panigale (the styling obviously) but anything else? I do the occasional track day but it's not a priority but this thing looks pretty good on track.

    "Euro5" is a pseudonym for "More restricted".
    Going to be very interesting to see how this stacks up with the nearly identically-weighted, identically-powered KTM 890R. KTM will churn out a big helping more torque and probably feel lighter on its feet as the 790 already did. The 890R just turns that formula up with the suspension, Brembos, electronics.
    I tend to feel about 125 hp on a sub 450 pound bike is ideal power for most everything, as long as there's good driving torque though the midrange.

    • @identiticrisis
      @identiticrisis 4 роки тому

    Good review. Not a fan of the "angry bird" headlights though. Not sure if I'd have one when there's nakeds like the s1000r but guess for most people this would do everything the s1000r does. Pricing will be the decider for many.

      S1000r is all top end personally I think it’s just wrong in fact I thought it was horrible and not a bike I could think of buying ,whereas I have had two street triples one a race bike loved them would definitely have another mt10sp was pretty epic but a bit meh ,my current search for the perfect bike points to the latest tuono factory v4 1100 and Ktm 1290 superduke r and now I’m going to test this it can’t be anything but mint

    I wish Triumph would pull those headlights in closer to the fork legs. I cringe everytime I see those sticky out eyes. It's the only ugly thing on the bike and had been since the first version.

      @bendover-bz4bc 4 роки тому

      Exactly my thoughts lol. I think they should completely get rid of this headlight and redesign new headline designs that would suit the bike. This headlight looks like eyes of a fly.

      I partially disagree. As the eyes are the soul's mirror, the headlights are the identity the bike. And those ones are one of the most singular I ever seen. And now they were better designed.

    Can you do stoppies on this then with the ABS? I'd assume not, but I'm hopeful it will

    Been waiting for your review on this, great job as usual. I’m thinking to change my 2017 Tuono V4 for one of these. My Sunday ride is on a narrow hill road with mostly slow (hair pin like) corners, the Tuono is awesome but does feel a tad big. There are no test rides here in HK but I’ve ridden a Monster 821 which I found lacking in pick up, is the triple noticeably more aggressive than the 821in acceleration? I don't expect it to be as punchy as an 1100cc Tuono but am just a bit concerned it’ll weak like the 821. Thx dudes.

      The 821 is so docile compared to the 765, and far less sporty

      @@FortyFourTeeth actually I've rewatched the vid a few time and you mentioned it's nothing like the Daytona 765 engine, can you elaborate? Am very interested to learn how different they feel.

    Will à good pair of rearsets sort out the clearance issue? Maybe a ktech internals for the suspension to, I'm sure standard is very road biased (sprung)

    Angry Bird look! Not sure there is enough to sell my 2018 RS for a 2020. I am sure we will be able to get the auto-blipper on 2017-19 models. Rest is the same. Added midrange sure is nice but I rather rev the @#$$% out of mine :)
