Doesn't it appear strange that with all the advancements in technology you can't just plug in your iPhone to the computer and transfer a word document file.
Fantastic. Recently purchased my first iPhone (always has Androids) and have been watching other videos to learn how to use. But all the videos on this process had me using iTunes (I didn't want to pay monthly fee), using VCL, etc. This is the easiest and BEST way to transfer my files from window PC to iPhone. Thank you so much from an old man. (I'm 75 years old and still learning).
@@famousmwofficial8046 But you shouldn't have to get a Mac in order to be able to access ALL your files on your iPhone. Also Macs don't have the longevity you think. You can't upgrade anything on a Macbook. Ram is build in to the board, the SSD is built on to the board so upgrading your SSD or Ram is extremely hard and they made it impossible to be able to repair it without being overcharged at a mac store. Only recently are they giving in to the Right to repair movement. Also apple cares more about looks than efficiency and performance. Their processors would throttle down because it got too hot which would lower speeds on your laptop all because they cared more about how thin your macbook was and not about proper airflow. They also purposely slowed down older Iphones with secret updates to make people think they needed a new iphone because theirs was too slow now. They got busted for that it was a big scandal. My laptop that is similar in specs to my friends Macbook smokes his macbook in performance. The only good thing a Macbook does is it does have good battery life up to a point. However I would put my older lenovo laptop up against any macbook on performance and battery life.
Does Apple seriously not have a way to do this directly and offline without having everything go through a server in who knows where? I recently got an iPhone and this stuff is baffling to me! Makes me want to switch back to Android right away!
DesuVR I’m with you completely. I own the phone and the PC but Apple continues to control how I (try to) manage the files on their largely over-hyped gadget.
I have the same problem. Sigh. Makes me want to switch to Android. My phone storage is full so im trying to transfer my files to my pc so i can delete them from my phone but apple makes it so hard.
That’s kind of the point. Apple deliberately makes this stuff easier if you’re performing these operations between two apple devices and more difficult if one of them is a non-apple device. They’re trying to incentivize you to buy in to their ecosystem. Airdrop only works natively (ie without downloading a 3rd party app) between apple devices and if i’m not mistaken it can utilize bluetooth as well as wifi to transfer files.
I have an Iphone for over a year and cant weit to switch back to Android, I never got used to it with all the invasive stuff. I mean Im aware that owning any smartphone your data is accesible sadly etc., but iphone just makes it so obvious that its unnerving.
YEEESSSS!!!!!!! FINALLLYY!!!!!! my Iphone has NEVER been able to connect to my HP laptop...EVER...Ive been searching for a YERAR to figure out how to connect so i can transfer my pics and vids easily...THIS is a GREAT alternative...(sidenote: HP WONT help me figure out my issue UNLESS i pay them another 75 to join a special program...WHAT?) THANK YOU!!!
Save to files? All of them are already files! I don't get it :/ I mean, where is the part when I connect the phone to the PC with a cable, the phone asks me if I wanna transfer files, propagate my device as a media device, a camera, a tether device, a reversed charger, a reversed master->slave device or I just simply wanna charge the phone's battery? Where is it?
Hey @Daniel about Tech you have such a helpful videos thanks for that Quick question as this gentleman here What if my Icloud is full like so many people so still are we able to do this transfer or not? Reply will be appreciated 🙌🏻 kudos
Finally - an easy to follow process to transfer files between Windows and Apple. Apple does seem to have some limitations with file management, but this will work for now. 😊
I want to save just one iMessage thread to my PC but there is no way to save it to Files and you did mention messages along with the other things that can be transferred. NOTE: I went to delete anytrans off my pc since I wouldn’t spend $40 and a screen popped up offering it for $25 which is a fair price! Maybe you could share that tip with your subscribers.
Thanks, that was pretty easy, and I didn't have to print it just for someone to get a file. Ridiculous you can't just connect a phone and do it, but you made it so simple. Thanks!
This is not a viable solution if you are dealing with gigabytes and gigabytes of files. With the android, you simply connected directly to your PC and you’re free to copy whatever files you need to back-and-forth.
Thank you so much Daniel! Your simple tutorial is a huge stress-saver! I was plugging my iPhone into my PC and wanting to BLOW MY BRAINS OUT with it 'disconnecting' every five seconds. Thank you so much!!!!
Android:- Want to share data, Heres the cable Or you can use bluetooth Or Email Or file share over wifi Or Cloud Or Share with smart view Or millions of free apps .. Only for you buddy
I'm a beginner, I don't know what I cloud is and have not downloaded or bought this on any device. I would like to transfer a file from my Iphone S6 to my laptop - is this possible in simple terms that even I can understand?
Great video, highly appreciated. Just hope that Apple makes this way more convenient like in the Android world. This is too much for something that requires simple clicks. But this video is immensely rich.
do i need to explicitly upload the photos/videos from iphone to the icloud or does it do the upload automatically when we enable the icloud enable option for photos?
iPhone storage is only useful if one takes a lot of photos and videos in high resolution, and installs many apps. For better file management and multipurpose use, Android file system is better.
I have a different question: If I want to transfer the files and documents of a game, from iphone to windows pc, can I do it? There is a game i love but it doesn't have cloud saving nor accounts, if i lose this phone i lose the game progress. And this iphone is kinda dying, very very old. Is there a way to transfer this game's files, data, and save my progress? I know that when I do this, i just have to transfer it to my otehr phone and substitute the game's files with the old ones from this old phone, and they will appear in the game, but how do i find these files to start?
I'm pretty hopeless with tech but this tutorial went really well... until the end when my PC wouldn't open the HEIC file without downloading and installing HEVC Video Extensions and paying for it! I need it to be a pdf file.
I just don't understand why we can't click and drag files like we have been doing on computers since the invention of windows 3.0 circa 1987/1988??? This feels like a reversion back to DOS/ 40-year step backwards in time... this process seems unnecessarily tedious! ...furthermore- I tried this with my iphone 12 mini- NOT THE SAME- not even close. none of these menus on my phone are even remotely similar to the ones shown in this video. Anybody have similar instructions for a 12mini?
What if my wife's iCloud storage is full (for years haha)? Should she delete majority of photos which are backed up to Prime Photos anyway and make room for the videos? Thank you.
The PITA with iCloud is that you can’t download folders, you have to go into the iCloud folders and select each of the individual files that you want to download to your PC. I may be cynical but I can only assume that Apple don’t want you to easily use a local storage method so that you maintain your iCloud subscription. It certainly doesn’t work as easily as Dropbox for doing file transfers in any case. If anyone has a workaround for a bulk download of files from iCloud to PC I would love to know the answer!
Do folders in the files app take up extra space or is it just a different management of the files already on the iphone? ie is it making duplicates that it puts into the files folder.
Thanks for this, it makes things a lot easier. In the end, the combination of iPhone + Windows is not very challenging, you just have to find ways to transfer files, etc... I have never had any problems with Windows and iPhone
any ways to transfer music from iphone to pc for free? i transferred some music into my new iphone and reformat my computer (complete reset). now im trying to get the music from the iphone back onto the pc but these are "non-purchase" songs according to apple so they wont give me any option. looked up a bunch of other website and video and so far they all want me to pay to extract my music from my iphone. i totally forgot apple were doing this to people for a long time, should i bought a samsung >:(
Omgggggggg im having the SAMEEEE problem I will pay to extract it I don’t care lol but I need to get all of my music on my phone back into the computer exactly how they are in files on my phone too much music do not want to sort out again….. so many years of rearranging everything how do I do this please help!!!!!!!! someone told me to airdrop the songs to the computer, but like you said they are not purchased songs
Ok now please explain to me how to transfer files without the use of cloud services. I want to transfer files from the On my Iphone folder, no the icloud drive.
Thanks for the sharing. I have a huge amount of photos and videos on my iPhone after a long trip. iPhone stops functioning during transfer process. This had repeatedly been the issues… In your example it’s quite simple since you have only two small files. How can you help solve the phone’s stop-functioning issue? Thanks!
My file on my pc is 2.3gb after about half way on the transfer between my pc and iPhone the progression freezes. How to I transfer a larger file do need to to cut the file in half?
Doesn't it appear strange that with all the advancements in technology you can't just plug in your iPhone to the computer and transfer a word document file.
The people at Apple must be really stupid or something.
Yes it is strange and i am switching back to android from ios
Stggg😭
Apple stubbornly refusing to support MTP is the funniest bit ever.
Apparently they want everyone connected to the cloud.
I found another way, by copying my files and sending them via email back to myself.

Get a mac and you have an easier time and plus macs have longivety and great efficiency and performance.

Apple is terrible. It thinks it owns your property and nothing you do or say will persuade them otherwise.

nvm, I use a 4Tb storage and use windows fotos and theirs this thing that it imports and deletes them from your phone while you’re transferring pics
