About the guitars the band were using in the video.
- Gene Simmons was using his Kramer Axe Bass
- Paul Stanley was using a BC Rich Eagle
- Ace Frehley was using a Gibson Les Paul Deluxe
But the real star here was the late Eric Carr who with his powerhouse drumming really drove the band. Among rock fans Carr is considered to be a legend but his cancer related death happened on the very same day that Freddie Mercury passed away, so he'll forever be "The other guy that died that day."
RIP The Fox/Eric.

Really? He’s a straightforward drummer. Nothing remotely technically challenging or advanced. Neil Peart or Rush or Nicko McBrain are the first two to come to mind that are definitely more technically advanced. Oh and Bill Ward from Sabbath doing all that crazy stuff on his simple 7 piece kit.
To me Eric doesn’t even end up in the top 10. He was great for KISS don’t get me wrong.

This song and music video came out in 1982, at a time when the band was on the verge of breaking up. There was a lot of creative tension in the group, and this song reflected it. It still became a hit on MTV in 1982, and bought the band some time to figure out what they wanted to do musically. In 1983, KISS released their music video for "Lick It Up", without makeup. The song and music video was a hit with a new generation of Rock music fans.
Kiss also holds the title as America's #1 Gold record award-winning group of all time, having earned 30 Gold albums. Kiss has 14 Platinum albums, with three albums being multi-Platinum.
They were a band that changed rock and roll . That says enough .
Kiss has always been my favorite band! Of course, their signature song has always been Rock and Roll All Nite… But their unmasked era had great songs too. Check out Unholy, Domino, I Just Wanna, and their ballad Forever... Enjoy!!!

This album came out in 1982! I was being grandpa's little hellion outside when I first heard this picking fights with boys who wanted to see up the skirt of my dress to see how 'different' I was. New flash boys: If I was wearing a dress and had the name MARIE in my name yelled out by my mother followed by 'let her fight! She's gotta learn to stand up for herself!' then I'm a girl.
The album cover for "Creatures of the Night" (my personal favorite album from KISS) had the band with those glowing eyes. So at the end of the video it insinuates the music video the kids watched turns them into creatures of the night.

It took 42 years but I finally get to see them. The first time the band I was in had a gig the same night so we
got to deal with the overflow of folks that couldn't make the show. The second time recently before the world
ended, my "friend" and I got turned around going over the mountain pass in February.
Sept 24 I finally get to see them.

Mocked and slammed for being a "cartoon" band with no real substance but, guess what ???... A band doesn't last nearly 50 years w/o substance !!! ...So many great songs... LOVE songs, DISCO songs and, of course, ROCK songs like this one that kick HUGE, HARD ASS !!! >:)>:)>:)

This is kind of an early Metal Rap song . . .Gene speaks more than he sings and it has great social commentary. If you want another great song to review off of this record do KISS Saint and Sinner. It has a great heavy metal swing beat to it. It is just sick. There is no video for it so you would have to do it from the cd.
