My take on it is it's meant to be fun and be complementary to larger women. He likes naughty thick women, they make his world go round, basically is what he's saying. I'm a big girl myself. It's kind of like Baby Got Back by Sir Mix Alot or Brick House by the Commodores. All of these songs have a similar message. You could probably Google the lyrics as to what he actually said.
@@SimplyKSimone ok I Googled the lyrics and yes the word is nanny, but I don't think it means what we think of for that word that much. I think it was like saying she's sexy, naughty nanny...?
@@bluebell3720 Of course it does. That's the point but it's an abuse that the protagonist is quite happy with! It could be argued that all parents, for eample, abuse all of their children all of the time by stopping the children from doing exactly what they want, when they want, making them eat, telling them off when they're naughty, etc., etc..
@@bluebell3720 Don't forget they are british, their use of naughty doesn't equate to sex but to mean. I can tell you're 1) american, 2) very young and 3) not educated in music culture. @@cjturner370 Also women, look up all the women he had affairs with in New York and Germany in his days, he really loved some plus-sized women sometimes as well, like Barbara Valentin or Gloria Gaynor, just to name a couple.
So late on this - but loved your reaction. Ok - here is my take SKS. First verse - made a "bad boy" out of me - i.e. our early experiences form our later desires (also see Freudian psychology, etc) - it does not mean the Nanny abused him. I had a discussion with a shrink about this effect- he asked me " what is your 'type'" - I said smart spitfire brunettes with an attitude and curves". He said- "Now tell me the first person you ever met that could be described this way?" Sure enough, when I was young my father had an assistant that fit the bill perfectly. He laughed and said- "Yep, every time!" He went on to say that, of course, it is much more complicated that just one input- but that early influences often printed on us what we see as desirable later in life. Second verse- he is an adult now and he finds himself on the road - realizing that he is attracted to the same type all the time. Last verse- comes to terms with the fact that even with the responsibilities of life- he knows what he loves - the FBG as one of his" treasures" and embraces it fully. Love your channel!! #WatchSKS
Freddie worshipped women. He’s just talking about his love for the first booty he noticed. ❤😮 haha it’s legit my favorite song on the planet! He was definitely gay obviously but he always had a huge appreciation for the female form.
The guitarist Brian May wrote this song about groupies, women that follow rock bands around when they're on tour and try to have sex with as many band members as possible.
Groupies, groupies & more groupies. Brian had a penchant for lyrics which progressed the story.… a young man’s perspective, a man at his height & then a man who is older. Similarly with we will rock you & even 39….and definitely too much love will kill you.
Hes talking about the kind of woman that will do what it takes. Then Freddie throws in get on your bikes and ride, which is a euphemism for it goes for gays to. So this song covers all your needs. It was written when they tried to break into the states and shaped to fit the current rock stations. This was back when radio mattered.
This has to be the best reaction to this song that I’ve seen, so far 😂 You heard right. I think I must know this song word for word, the amount of times I listen to it.
In Britain all caretakers were considered Nannies! And the nursery refers to any child’s bedroom no matter the age! 😂 The guitarist Brian May wrote this for Freddie who appreciates “junk in the trunk” in women & men!! (Wink)
Oh, BTW, In English, as opposed to American language, as well as being a person's name "Fanny" is slang for a completely different body part than in the USA, I was told it at least used to mean a person's bottom I.e. arse cheeks in USA . When "Fanny Packs" were introduced from the USA to the UK during the 1980's we couldn't get over how explicitly rude the name was in English.
The way I read it is that he was attracted to a larger woman when he was a kid. At no time did he say the nanny touched him. She just made him realize he was attracted to big women. Quit trying to find sickness in Queen's songs. They wrote to make people happy and they did make millions happy.
Queen was/is SO good that their music broke through a lot of our heterosexual bigotry. And Yes, they're talkin' about exactly what you THINK they're talkin' about. But please don't take it too seriously, It's just a great song, and great FUN 😃

Sister I do not mean to imply that you aren't a lady. You are grown though, and I reckon you know exactly what he means. Beautiful women typically have little incentive to be enthusiastic, involved, interesting. Lady carrying a few extra Lb's on the other hand...she's got technique on her side, can you dig me?
It’s just lyrics. Hilarious lyrics executed with perfection by the wonderful Freddy Mercury. He was celebrating women with wobbly bits. This is my favourite Queen song ❤❤❤
there is a story behind that, when he was young, he did have a nany his mom hired who would not necessarily take advantage if him but would constantly tease him and would do certain around him that was somewhat sexual and not right to do in front of a little kid which then tainted his view on things, it didn't ( turn ) him gay, of course, but he was badly affected by her behavior, which made him hate her and influence writing this song later in life
It's documented that Brian May wrote the song but Freddy was his influence for it and came up with the majority of the lyrics, Brian basically wanted to write a song about Freddy and his life and certain events and Freddy have him the concept and most of what he wanted to say. But Brian did put it all together and compose it. Brian knew the history of the Nanny and thought it would be good for Freddy to put his feelings into a song to vent the emotions he built up over the Nanny thing and his childhood
