  • In this video I shall steps tools and procedures necessary to install a leveling kit on a 2015 and newer F150. The vehicle I’m working on is a 2020 F150 XLT 2wd. These trucks come with very little ground clearance from the factory and the rear of the truck sits considerably higher than the rear. We ended up selecting the 1.5 inch leveling kit by Moto fab to level the truck and below this description, are links to both leveling kit that metal fab manufactures for these trucks. If you have any questions or comments feel free to leave something in the conversation. Thank you

    I've watched several mechanics do this same job and you by far were the easiest and quickest of them all! Congrats!

    I have that kit on my 18 F-150. I could swear those cap screws are to be installed into the spacer from the bottom and you use the original FORD nuts on top.
    I don't like how you used them as a bolts through the top of the strut tower. That spacer is aluminum. I don't trust the threads. Did they change the directions?

      You are correct. He did the top wrong.

      Yes he did install it wrong. Do not do it this way people.

      If he did do it wrong unless he overtorques it it will not do anything bad considering that those will blots will only be under tension if the truck is lifted or goes airborne, however i agree it would be better to rely on the steel nuts for thread strength

    I just got done putting the shocks in with the spacers and it seems that my upper control arm is rubbing against my shock. Is this just because the truck is jacked up or did I do something wrong?

      Is the control arm rubbing against the shock with the vehicle on the ground?How high did you lift it?

    I have a 2015 f150 that I leveled a couple weeks ago 2.5 with 22” wheels on 33 tires and I knew some ride quality was going to be gone but when I hit a bump or rough spots in the highway it seems to throw my truck sideways one way or another kind of like it comes off the ground but definitely seems like I lose control of it while I’m hitting that rough spot in the highway I did all that at the same time so just asking what would be the problem haven’t had time to go back to the place that did the work but I never seen anybody else mentioned anything like this just trying to see where I or them go wrong thanks in advance your truck looks great

      @@adamthompson8432 I keep getting from everyone is to upgrade my rear suspension to help it stay grounded but when you put some weight in the bed it doesn’t do it I had a few floor tiles in it and it was great again but once I removed them and hit a bump at speed of 50 and better it would do it again

    So the front went from 36" to 38.25" - the 1.5" level kit raised it over 2". Is that normal? I have a 2" MotoFab level kit that's going on soon on my 2wd truck.

      they say the ratio isn't 1-1 as advertised

    DON'T FOLLOW THESE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS!! You need to go watch the motofab video!! You are installing the spacer incorrectly. The allen head bolts need to feed up into the spacer before you install the spacer on the shock.

    Do not use this procedure for 4x4. Use a procedure/video that removes the caliper and disengages the axle.

    • @cycletexas9157
      @cycletexas9157 2 роки тому +2

      Or a method that drops/disengages the lower A arm

    Hope you cover how to re-aim headlights, because every asshole out there that is “leveled” blinds every body with their headlights because they are too lazy or stupid to re-aim their lights.
