Pretty sure they plan on it. Just saw another video, and the rep was saying they went with the choice of frame they did because it would allow for smoother transition once they start development on Enduro models.
I’m sure they will once they have a solid 250/450 platform. A XC version would be easy to make at that point. Hopefully we’ll see a 350F too. I’d like to see a XC-W & a EXC-F version that. Basically a enduro bike w/ a tag. That’s more my style anyway. I’m definitely intrigued by the 250 though!
Of course they have a enduro planned and that’s why they have firmer multi champ enduro axe Ivan Cervantes as a brand manager , it’s a bigger market potentially .
I've been riding Triumph sportbikes for 20 years now, the last few I've had have been dead nuts reliable and amazing performers. This is going to be a winner.
I have brought this bike to Glen Helen and it feels so good, the bike holds it lines and build speed super fast, nothing better than a good suspension not losing the front of the bike a single time, the frame absorbs everything and gives you 100% of control of the bike, the bike is loud and it is so good.
Bike looks great, but what really tripped me out was finding out that little Dennis is 43. I’m friends with his dad, and the first time I met little Dennis was at Hangtown. Big Dennis was pushing him around in a baby stroller. Man do I feel old.
Yeah but I don't know how to feel about this one. The facts that he pretty much hyped the bike before he rode it and that they were invited to a test event by triumph makes me a little skeptical about the brutal honesty on this one
@@ChupacabraOffroad He indicated it himself when he said they kept them well fed and tried to make them like the bike. Also different track than for all the other bikes. I'm not saying they got paid to hype a shit bike. But it can't be as objective as the other reviews when it's a different track and the manufacturer pays you a holiday in florida
Great to finally hear some news about this bike from objective people. In the past weeks it has all been speculation by all kinds of people with all kinds of claims. In my opinion it seems like a well build bike, and as expected they didn't invent the wheel themselves, would have been impossible to build a great bike if you really start from the ground up. I think it's a plus for Triumph, means they've been smart and focussed on what they could improve instead of starting from zero. Thanks for all insights !
If I was in the market for a new 250 that little beast would certainly top the list. It sounds great. It looks better than anything else out there and watching. It seems like it is very balanced and fast.
Excellent video. This is how all new model release vids should be done. I too add my vote for Josh to race a national on the Triumph. You know you, and Triumph, will get a lot of press as a result.
Looks like a great bike! Love a lot of the ingredients they've put into this thing. Personally don't love the plastics and especially the graphics/colour scheme but thats easy to change.
The attention to detail is amazing on this bike. All of the castings look great and the cast logos on everything is very cool. Not in love with the black, but the bike looks stellar. Hope they make a 350 and allow after market to make plastic. I'd definitely buy one.
I knew it was going to be good, if not the best 250, just by looking at the frame, the way the double cradle splits higher up on the down tube. KYB suspension and Brembo brakes . Simple , clean and light bike. 😊
well done for a first year bike.......very well done might start to see this more often in next 10 years, although it takes a ton of money to start up a program, the Ducati looks sick as well
Im excited to see more about this bike. It seems like its going to be really good. Gatorback is looking real good too hopefully they start doing more tests here or maybe even a national
Looks like a great bike. Triumph motorcycle fit and finish have been quite good over the years, and they were smart to outfit with great components like KYB and Brembo. I think they will do well with this model, biggest struggle I think will be the niche motorcycle dealers that sell the brand. Hopefully they look to expand the franchise network with this expansion into offroad.
I cannot believe Triumph is the only company to sample their competitors offerings while developing their own product. pretty sure they all do it. I know Stark did
I’ve been interested and I believe once one of the bikes is in a dealer by me I’m picking one up. I used to race hard but now I’m older I just want to hit jumps and throw whips.
When will you do a comparison of the Triumph vs. the other brands... or at least tell what how you feel it stacks up against the other brands, from memory, when you test it at Glenn Hellen. Thanks.
Run the Triumph in the 250 class (Fox raceway) and Beta in the 450 class (hangtown) for outdoors this year. You'll be able to ride 2 brand new bikes and get a solid perspective of how deep both classes are this year.
Kinda excited for the 450 if it's as good as the 250. I currently race a YZ450F and I'm really happy with the bike after getting off a SXF450 two seasons ago. Could Triumph be the best of both worlds? Solid vid Josh as usual.
so with the engine having the same bore+stroke as the ktm 250, would you say it's stronger or has a different engine character? not that it matters to me but does it have the most powerfull engine in the 250 class as is claimed numerous times?
At 6:10 you say AOS are not speed sensitive. Pretty sure this is not correct. All forks have speed sensitive damping. I was under the impression that "SSS" is just Yamaha's own marketing name for their KYB AOS fork (Air Oil Separate (closed cartridge)).
Triumph have been reborn making great products and their frames are already so well designed and are almost factory works spec in a production mass produced good value package. Theyre approach and taking their time in developing top quality and spec parts with the very best in the world japanese type production, QC to aircraft. Huge respect to the enthusiasm to make the top quality spec possible at a really good price that batters the competition. Their 675 daytona, original 90s trophy, 900 steamer tiger and later on the 800, 850, 900, 1050 tiger sport and 1200 shaft explorer have proven reliability going round the clock and now the 180bhp beautiful speed triple, the 1700 thunderbird, rocket 3 and bonneville 1200 tiger watercooled with great rolling chassis. Like the moto 2 765 motor, theyve taken the excellent design and specs into this TF250X with the complete engine, gearbox and rolling chassis all designed like to work together in harmony like Yamaha with the fantastic engine quality like suzuki, kawasaki and honda also with using some of the Dakar design ideas of companies like KTM, MV Agusta, Aprilia but at a far better price for Ducati type performance. It good its under 10k dollars and 47 bhp and so light. I cant wait for the 450. Only the Norton, crighton CR700 seem better in finish but they cost over £40000 for that V4. Its good to see but its sad BSA wasnt bought up by CCM and money and top brains and vision thrown at another great old brand. Their late 1960s dirt bikes were so beautiful and the frames were something else in the day. Same with Royal Enfield with the last british made interceptors of nearly 800cc which were so well balanced, powerful with great handling but it came too late. The indian 650 interceptor isnt a patch on the mk 3 interceptors. Sadly Sadiq has stabbed the petrol engine in the back.
It would definitely be cool to see you race the Triumph at a national, hopefully they will give you some go fast parts to get you on par with the heavily modded small bore rippers that dot the landscape at the nationals! Great job guys ❤🙏
The electric assists will be really nice for a supermoto. It looks like the quickshifter is internal, as well as the rear wheel speed sensor. Pretty trick stuff
Starting at 3:09 For about a minute straight he literally said the same exact thing over and over again, they took the best out of every bike and implemented it into this one lol I think we got it
Yes please race the triumph at a national. I hope you get to rece a few nationals with different bikes. MXA's content is more interesting when you race nationals, no othe media organisation does that...race more nationals!
You guys knock these videos out of the park each and every time. As a German car tech I can appreciate the torx, I personally love to see them
Hopefully they get into the enduro and two stroke market 🔥
300 2 stroke would be sick

Triumph street bikes are beautifully built and styled. Nice to see that carry over to the dirt too!
So glad I'm not the only one ot recognize this.
i dunno it just looks like a yamaha crossed with a husqvarna
If you scratch the plastic it’s orange underneath………

That would be awesome to see Josh race the Triumph this summer!!!
Mxa has the reputation of being brutally honest when they test a bike, id say not a bad review
Stapletons suspension critique was awesome - these guys know their stuff

Absolutely, need a 350 option. As well, need off-road/woods option models.
