It's taken me way too long to realize that vonamiat is Taimanov backwards

After recently becoming a GM myself, I decided to learn this opening from Aman and play it. After learning it, I have seen incredible results! Just like GM Hambleton I am too losing to FM's and untitled 2600's in bullet, thanks chessbrah!

This speedrun kinda reminds me of an Aman's game with Taimanov Sicilian back in 2017, where he played brilliantly against super GM Alexei Shirov🙂

I started playing the Timanov because of Eric a few years ago. This has been my favorite speedrun so far because I like the types of positions that stem from it and its educational to see how the position is played on a higher level

Thank you for this series. I didn't know you 'd take it this far! I settled on the Accelerated Dragon myself but I still learn a lot from watching, and hopefully, this helps with my play from the white side.

Its actually shocking how many of the opponents in this speedrun had their accounts banned for cheating. 10 cheaters were caught in this speedrun out of about 350 opponents.

    18:00 A really crazy game starts 😵‍💫
    19:59 I think you could have taken a knight: ...exd5 Qxg7 Rf8 exd5 Qd6 and you are fine 😁
20:13 Passing an opportunity to grab a free piece? C'mon... 🙃

Second game don't get scary you are on the right path to play under your pawns and look for the balance and so far it doesn't look like the opponents know what to do in the first two games❤😊

It is very interesting that the Taimanov can also be played reverse starting with 1 c4, making it the backbone of a repertoire.

Aman's game against ercoleiaccone is an amazing game to analyse with the game review.
Spoiler: The position was only 0.3 at the end, when ercoleiaccone lost on time

Not a competition, Aman, Eric and Daniel have very different styles and you can learn a lot from their content combined. Such a great era to learn chess as a beginner
