What they never say is it's just an algorithm for solving the cube and anyone could do it blindfolded once they memorize the sequence of moves. Impressive though that she remembered it. There are oodles of tutorials on youtube for solving the cube.
@@Fatima-hl2qg I can't remember for sure, but I think once you solve one side you could do it blindfolded from there. Watching this video I see Katelyn studied it to solve one side then she really went fast which indicates to me that she used an algorithm. If you're not using the algorithm and are instead solving by brute force, then that is really impressive, especially if done in 3 minutes! The best I could do was 3 sides in probably 3 hours lol
As a cube nerd, I'm gonna do a breakdown of her solve. -She is using the beginner's method, which is an adaptation of the method called CFOP(cross, f2l, orient last layer, permute last layer). Basically, you solve the white side, then solve it layer by layer, and solve the yellow side. -She's using a Rubik's brand rubik's cube, which is one of the slowest(ironic, yes), with a GAN cube, I'll bet that she can break 45 seconds. - She starts by moving all the white edges to the yellow center on the top, then inserting them one by one to the white center, creating a white cross on the bottom. -Then she rotates the cube so that white is on the top. - Next, she inserts the white corners to solve the white side completely. -She then uses an algorithm to insert edges of the second layer, and now she has solved the white side + the first and second layer. -She uses an algorithm to solve the entire yellow side. -She does get a little lucky and gets to skip a step where you switch the corners so that they are solved. -Finally, what is left is the edges of the yellow side, which she solves. God Job! It's hard to be so good in multiple hobbies!
Hmmm I could beat her in 100 meter which she could be 12 and half or 13 second 100 meter which rn I go below 12 and don't really care about running just do it 2 get fit
After watching a few Katelyn Tuohy record-breaking running races, I tuned in this.. ... and possibly watched her beat her own PB for solving a Rubik Cube.

@@thesmash3r787 Theoretically, let's say she gets done with practice around 5/6. Homework usually only really takes an hour or an hour and half so it's more than likely she just doesn't have or need as much leisure time as the rest of us.
@@thesmash3r787 I don't know about your school or hers, but at mine we usually get around 2 hours of home work but we get time in classes and within our resource times to do homework (which is up to you). Eyyy let's goo. I'm not very fast in running but at least I run faster then her on a cube XD still a great time though, and she still has better running skills and school knowledge then I do so. My fastest is 25s so she's not far behind.
Katelyn definitely has a better form in running. She gets really tight across the shoulders and the head and neck tilt forward showing unnecessary expenditure of watts.
I mean it was a terrible cube, she doesn't seriously cube, and she's casually talking and whatnot. Nothing super impressive, but she did also recognize that she got quite an easy problem to solve. Good on her, I'd say.
I'm glad she used her own style and not just the classic or new style solving methods. That shows her intelligence, not the fact that she can do it. Only cubers are going to know what I mean, but let your inner geek fly. call Guiness, here comes a miler solving 4 cubes in under 5 min. while running.
Once again, Katelyn beat her own record.
Watch her even pick up a violin and start playing better than my 5 years of playing. This girl is literally good at everything she touches

Why is this girl good at everything

Behind every great athlete is s hidden talent which provides balance. Job well done Katelyn.
What a cheeky thumbnail, LOL
Yeah lol 😂
Ok, let's see how many basketball or football players can do that? And she has a 4.6 GPA!!!!!!! What!

Hanging out with Kaitlyn AGAIN!?!? This Billy the Toad guy is The Man! What’s next? Hanging out with Jessica Hull?!
I'm pretty sure she's my favorite person!
Shes deff the coolest of the KEWL!!
She seems such a lovely person. Lol 1:10 shows the little girl inside
Awesome, super fun. My neighbors kid is a genius on the cube! Less than 20 seconds. It's crazy to watch.
She not only beats you but then mocks you. That is cold.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Katelyn, that was very impressive!
I want to go in a run with Katelyn tuohy 👍🏃
I bet that's not all you want to do with her.
Creeps
J Denmark wanting to go for a run with someone is not creepy lol. What Ron is saying is creepy tho
Aye I am a runner so I thought it was good idea so chill

I am runner too and I love going on run with friends and new people it is very fun and good idea. Its not weird
Damn, now she is Waaaaaaay faster than me in 3 things ! 😂😂
Love this because I used to be good at solving these but just lost interest after a while.
Is she adorable or what?
I see Katelyn Tuohy, I click. Happy New Year !
Me too 🤤🤤
The one dislike is the dropped Rubik’s cube
You guys are awesome !!!
I remember the Rubik's cube !
Only solved it once !

she solved it in 52s. on a rubiks brand
STARTING WITH THE FLOWER INSTEAD OF JUST GOING STRAIGHT FOR THE CROSS
