We have been living in our 1989 Ford Econoline for two years. In this video, we walk you through our entire van and show you how it's holding up. We have a dilemma with whether or not to make some upgrades or get another rig to help us meet our personal and professional goals. All comments and suggestions are welcomed.
About us
My name is Bionca and I have a 10 yr old son named Carter. I’m a cultured high energy globetrotting life coach, public speaker and soon to be an author. Carter is a spiritual goofy homeschooled kid, gamer, and humanitarian. Together we want to inspire others to be bold enough to chase their dreams despite any challenges along the way.
Our journey began when we decided to get rid of our fancy things, home school and travel the world until further notice. Then in October 2017, we decided to buy a van that would enable us to work, home school, explore the world and give back in the U.S! This 1989 Ford Econoline is a symbol of freedom and service to various communities.

-Life coaching and delivering empowering speeches which include speaking on the issues of bullying in schools.
-Learn and explore various regions of the world while engaging with locals
-Cook delicious foods
-Host play date meetups for traveling families with kids
-Feed the homeless
-Rescue animals
-Clean up beaches
Right now we wish to relaunch an anti-bullying nonprofit foundation called the Bully Barricade Foundation. It is going to take a lot of work and we need your help!

Happy belated birthday Bianca. I pray that you Carter and Chilli get a new traveling house that's fully loaded. You all deserve it, but until then I pray that old faithful continues to hold up.
As for the leak under your sink. Pull everything out dry it all off then run some water through it to see where the leak is. Maybe you can fix it if you can see where it is.
JUST found your video will be subing and want to say first your kid is going to be well ahead of others kids in the world being off grid experiencing life is great education the van isnt that bad do miner repairs and keep it going a while longer i look forward to more videos
Thanks so much! I really appreciate your kind input. Already Carter has a wise mind and is a strong boy fun loving boy. He has always been this way but since we have lived in the van...he is now more resourceful, adventurous ,mindful and understands the value of freedom. It has a meaning that he may not have experienced until who knows when if he had't leaped. He love it!

Actually if they could go to the RTR in January they would probably get help with a complete rebuild.

Keep going!! -You guys going to make it out to AZ for the van build? I think I mentioned it last year... Practically free project/s (up to two) done by skilled, volunteer labor. We're finally bringing the bus and my kids and I will be there. Parker AZ, I believe.

I know we ought to appreciate the thoughtful gestures of others. However, I would like to have seen maybe 2 pieces of cake (for you and your child), a perfect single rose, and something you need to help a repair (or a bit of cash that was spent on the consumables) - that would have been next level thoughtful.
I met an older woman who did not have nearly enough money to feed the cat she loved. For her birthday, her 'best' friend sent her make-up, a t-shirt, and a fancy piece of framed art. (????) The cost of those items could have purchased food for her full time fur companion. Can you imagine the long term peace and joy she would have had to get cat food or a gift certificate to a store where she could get some?
People often give what they want to get. Sorry, it just hit me sideways. Hope you get out to the van build and they can help you make some repairs or get an upgraded rig. This is the first video I have seen of yours and while you have pointed out the issues, I never got a sense of 'poor me'. The aesthetics are not as important as function to be happy. A safe place to sleep, eat, and poo. Everything else is a bonus, and you have a sweet little set of paws with you. 🐾💕

Your AC might just need recharging. If it has standard connections the way modern cars do, it's a simple fix (AC Pro at Auto Zone or similar.. Home Depot too)

Buy a can with the hose... If your connector is standard... For 30 bucks. Recharge takes maybe 15 minutes
Definitely research what it takes.
Most repair guys at Pep Boys or similar shops will show you how to do it... If not just do it for you. You can do it though... Like most repairs, like changing a light bulb. Lol, you just need someone to point out what a light bulb is sometimes.

Seems like a nice van. If you are going to get repairs done might as well do a complete renovation. I wonder how cheaprvliving might be able to help. Sounds like if you go to RTR there are lots of people available to help with rebuilding.

I love the class B vans but they require a lot of repair work. A cargo van would be a good option.

Wow that's a hard decision to make. It seems like only minor fixes are needed. So if you own it and mo payments, I would say, fix it. By the same token, if you could afford to get a newer van, and maybe bigger, that would be nice as well. Love your videos. Travelling mercies. God bless you.
