  • Video recommends two brands in the mid tier and five brands at the top end of the bathroom linen market.
    Towels are a purchase I strongly feel you only need to make once at absolute most twice - if you want a bit of variety - in your lifetime. There are much better things to do with your time. And therefore it’s crucial to get it right the first time round. Whatever your preference I have all the varying styles covered.

    Hello,
    I was able to get an Abyss towel. I compare after washing. In fact, it is no thicker than Etoile by Yves Delorme, but above all here is my remark which could be useful for other customers. The Abyss is made with long curls; the Delorme is made with loops, a little shorter, but they are turned/twisted. Visually, the Delorme is more elegant, more refined. On the contrary, the Abyss looks a bit like a « carpet » or is organic, a bit wild. I hope this comparison will be useful!
    Thanks again !
    Julian

      @@SoAnesu Hi So, based on your recommendations I ordered a couple of Abyss & Habidecor from Harrods.

      The pillow and duvet video is in production and will be out soon. I’m still working on kitchen items and appliances.
      Brinkhaus is one of my top recommendations for duvets and pillows you will be in very good company. It’s a bit tricky to advise as I will need to know a bit more information - allergies and level of support required. But you will not go wrong with anything from Brinkhaus.

    Hi, Anesu! Congrats on the excellent content. I have loved every video I have watched so far! Question: what do you have to say about Peter Reed bed linens? I bought a set and I really love the quality (matches the quality of a Sferra duvet cover I have), but I wonder where a specialist would place it in the grand scheme of linen brands. Thanks in advance!

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  3 роки тому +1

      Good to hear - thank you.
      I have a video where I recommend Peter Reed. It’s a good brand it has a royal warrant after all! I would say some of their ranges are on par qualitywise with Harrods of London and Harrods of London is a fraction of the price of Peter Reed - putting it out there. If I had Peter Reed money personally I would be more inclined to go for Frette, Celso de Lemos or Sferra in your case. However, as I say in my linen video it’s how the linen feels first and foremost it’s very much a personal thing and works best for you. Peter Reed is also a little harder to iron but if you get your linen professionally laundered or you are fine with ironing then that’s not a big deal.
      Hope that helps!

    Time to refresh my towels, I seek out the best in 2021, came across your video. I like your presentation and decided to try Abyss & Habidecor. $168.00 Amazon. One reg bath towel. Received it today. Very disappointed 😞. The thread's are short and rough to the touch. A&H have a great selection of colors, however they are not soft at all. Better towels are found at basic retail stores, ie. Target, walmart, bed bath & beyond. I am going back to what I know is true quality. Christy's from London.

    Thanks for the video. I didn't know all the brands. I have the Etoile range from Yves Delorme in white (which I find softer than the colours). What are your recommendations for keeping their softness and suppleness? White vinegar mixed in the lye? In the fabric softener compartment? Sodium bicarbonate mixed in the washing powder? I use Mir blanc + a dose of vanish oxy-action. But I'm sometimes afraid that the detergent stays in the cotton threads. I notice that they have lost a little softness after the first two washes. Do you think this is normal? Many thanks ! Julien from France !

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 роки тому +2

      They should soften with washing make sure to not use fabric softener.

    • @juliendeleipzig
      @juliendeleipzig 2 роки тому

      @@SoAnesu when I bought them in the store, the towels were very very soft, the threads were very flexible. With moderate washing and drying, they have lost that. Maybe it's because of the chemical finish on them when they are new and which is rinsed out with the wash...

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 роки тому
