I went to the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC when I was 14, the gentleman that let us in gave us a card that had a picture of someone who died in the Holocaust ( along with bio) , he dug until he got me a 14 year old girl named Anna & I still have it. I also fainted by the 3rd level exhibit and a security guard had to carry me out to the lobby! I had never fainted from shock before or since what I saw that day! Very high risk. In Oregon a couple was attacked at 3am by an intruder. Man was stabbed to death and women somehow survived approximately 19 stab wounds. This was August 2021 I believe. There was another person in the residence as well. Very high risk in that attack too, same MO, individual never caught. Just makes me wonder if it’s possibly related.

I heard about the 13th of the month too. I’m sure police are considering everything, but it just seems the possibility of these cases being possibly linked isn’t talked about enough. There are enough similarities to at least provoke a serious discussion, but doesn’t seem to get much attention. I think there’s a better chance that there’s one nut going around vs multiple nuts who just happen to kill people the same way.

One thing that’s hard for me to wrap my head around is that you had two pairs of housemates, the eventual victims, initially out of the house on the night preceding the murders, but out separately, and then returning separately during the wee hours of the morning and with no apparent coordination between the two groups. How - without being in communication with somebody in the house or being already in the house himself - would the attacker have known a safe time to begin slashing?

I understand the feelings of these family members, however, one must remember that there are 4 families and not just one involved. Even though I empathize with the Gonzalves family, by them speaking out on details that need to be hidden, is jeopardizing the investigation for all of the families. Hopefully nothing has/will jeopardize the conviction of the perpetrator.

The police asked for video & pictures multiple times from the beginning. The question is, it’s a small town, small area, if you know any of those victims frequented your vape shop, why didn’t they immediately pull up video and hand it over to the police? The police can only be in so many places at once. LE asked for video and pictures from everyone right away.
Some media is just out to denigrate LE for clicks and views. It’s a short time after a killing with that vast of a crime scene. To expect an arrest that will end in a conviction this short a time later is unreasonable. People need to stop criticizing in this nascent stage. All it does is to help a potential defense attorney that will argue the forensics were bungled, LE is incompetent, etc because that’s the narrative certain media is pounding on the daily. Good guests here and every day. Glad your channel is growing. It deserves it.

People have no idea how they are affecting the lives of innocent people or interfering with an active homicide investigation. There is nothing wrong with throwing ideas around and having conversations, but some of these people are plain nuts. Also, some sleuths are digging too deep and OVER analyzing things. I bet that when the truth comes out, many will be shocked at how simple it was. Right there. The internet, the news media, all want a fantastical story, but this is not a movie. Chances are this murder was committed by someone close who eventually will spill it to the wrong person, none of these college age kids can keep their mouths shut. Loose lips sink ships. I can only hope that happens anyway.

I am wondering why everyone is expecting this murder to be solved within the first week. I wish it had been too, but I want the right person not a quick arrest with no evidence. Life is not a TV show and solved in 60 mins. Let's let the process happen for a right arrest and conviction. If not we get a scenario of a police theory and trying to make the suspect fit in.

I just subscribed because your guests are tremendous and you let them speak.
I would love to hear you ask one of the investigative professional’s you have on what they think of this case possibly being connected with two other open cases, one in Oregon, and the other in Washington state.
In Oregon there was a young couple attacked at around 3am while they slept. The man was stabbed to death and the woman miraculously survived approximately 19 stab wounds. This happened about one year before these Idaho murders. High risk for the killer and similar MO.
The other case was in Washington state and a middle aged woman was killed in the same fashion while she slept in the early morning hours. This happened in 2020 I believe. The killer in both cases was never caught.
My question is do these two cases in Oregon and Washington State raise the antennas of investigators in terms of a possible serial killer committing these crimes and how much so? Thanks.

One of the problems with this case from the beginning is that authorities assured the public that there was no danger and they had the situation under control. Because of that, citizens who had fresh and pertinent information figured that the police had whatever they needed. Now, nearly a month later, some who could have provided crucial information in the beginning are starting to come forward. Unfortunately, at this point, video tapes have been overwritten, witnesses have left the area, and other evidence may no longer be available.

I don’t understand why LE in general, not just in this case, in their first broadcast, don’t tell every business, apartment building, home with video cameras to immediately preserve all video that might be pertinent within a 50 mile radius of the crime scene and voluntarily submit it to LE.

    • @simonw1313
      @simonw1313 Рік тому

That would throw up an extraordinary amount of video material even if they just did it for the town of Moscow (25,000±) and it would be unimaginable. Though I guess if it was all submitted (and this might be your point) then they could file it all away geographically and return to it if needed in the future rather than turn up somewhere to find out it's been deleted last week.
I'm guessing they did it for a substantial distance around the murder site and that's why the white car issue has arisen.

So in my opinion I think this guy planned this out very well. He wasn’t hiding in the house due to his surveillance he knew party house and the girls could possibly bring home friends to party after the bar. So he came in from back door, front door to risky escape route same way. He did it alone. Frat boys would have squeeled by now on each other especially with these seasoned FBI guys. Also he knew quiet little town not top notch police (sorry) to investigate 4 homicides. He wasn’t expecting this to be nationwide news so he’s nervous but ditched the Elantra by now. IMO

There's a chance that the Elantra just happened to be in the area. From some of the insights offered by national media, the killer had planned this crime, waited for the opportunity and pulled it off, It could very well be that the killer waited in the woods behind the house for the lights to go out and everyone fall asleep before entering the house and killing 4 people. Apparently the best escape route was out the back way, along a short train by a fenced in house and come out on a road less traveled and made his escape. No witnesses no motive.
