- Jackson said that playing her character Elektra on “Pose” resurfaced personal trauma. The show’s iconic star Billy Porter shared last month that he’s secretly lived with HIV for 14 years.

I've just watched Pose for the first time and Elektra is the best character in the show, and on TV in general, in years!
I should add I ADORE the entire cast. They were phenomenal. Elektra just spoke to me more.

Having lived through those times I barely got through Season 1 it was so emotional for me, yet I still loved it. I tried watching Season 2 & saw 2 episodes & had to stop it was too intense. Most of the stories are all too relatable. Dominique, Billy & the cast brought the well written scripts to life. I can't imagine what it was like to have to act them out like they did. True professionals, all of them!
This series and their performances were stunning. Each of their stories were riveting. It caught me off guard. Kudos to all of them.

I have watched POSE and can only say transgender women are everything...strong, beautiful, they fight...I want her to be my mum. I am no woman let me tell you...I don't know why human specie is so horrible..

I just finished watching this show for the 2nd time ❤ this show was so real and beautiful I remember crying with Pray and Blanca’s characters. I am not queer but I love to hear true stories express my empathy for others. It’s was bittersweet the show came to a end but the way each character truly related to their personal lives thoroughly was beautiful ❤❤ definitely will tune in for a 3rd time down the road for sure 🫶🏽
Ms. Dominique, the entire cast directors and producers gave us such a gift with “Pose!!”
Every single second of this groundbreaking show gave an emotional educational to the lives of a culture we had no idea existed and most Nee Yorkers ignored. Let me tell you I am this show opened and broke my heart. I laughed , I cried , I fumed, and mostly I learned. I can truly say that “Pose” is one of the most phenomenal shows to grace the screen, period!

OMG!!! I Loved a POSE. I’m so Sad to see it end. I Loved Domingue on the Show. She is a Beautiful Soul. I Love her voice. So refined. I loved all of the Characters. This show brings Awareness of what ppl go through. Luckily Electra was Fabulous Character. Sad what ppl put other ppl through. It is a Celebration of ALL HUMANS NO MATTER THEIR CHOICES IN LIFE. You all should check out the reality show Strut. It's about 5 transgender models and a transgender modeling agency. Dominique Jackson is one of the models. It came out before Pose. I knew who Dominique Jackson was before Pose. She was regal and beautiful, on the modeling show., and her cheekbones were to die for! I'm glad that she blew up.

Now this is a story worth telling. A true survivor.
I give Dominique much credit for reclaiming her faith, and to the directors of Pose that projected ‘family’. At Middle age, I can see how that tenet is lost on some up and coming youth in the community now. This has always been a criticism of older 🏳️🌈 on younger 🏳️🌈 however. At 44 I see how and why that community anger is always such a friction point internally. It is what made Pose such a good series. That friction point was addressed in almost every episode. Privilege was not an option for the characters in that series, and is often not awarded to many LGTBQIA youth (in New York or Anywhere)…..how that dynamic is discussed and projected is so important. Being Trans is not a Musical or a ballroom for many, even if they sing and dance through the struggles. Its a delicate runway to strut. God is good.
