I'm from Trinidad and Tobago and I am soo very proud of her ! It's takes a LOT of fortitude to be who you are anywhere, but especially here. Brava Domi.
I cried so much when she talked about the family support, we have so many people feeding lies and hate to our families. We are accused of destroying families when we are actually aborted from our family love and our community.
Yes, it is pretty much just preaching . It's all very cute and i am all in support of Transgenders , but if she talks about love and humanity and respect and decency and compassion and then she has a burger after that or some chicken or some eggs or a glass of milk or some fish, or wears anything made of skin, fur or incorporating feathers or scales, then she is a massive hypocrite, like anybody else who does the same thing and then talks about compassion. I have always wanted to support groups like this, I am myself Gay and i feel the duty to support my community, but on the other hand i feel that i would be supporting hypocrites. I am often wondering if i'd rather get along with a vegan who doesn't like gays or a gay supporter who wears fur, and the answer is always the same, I'd rather be with someone who has true compassion and would never eat or wear or use anything of animal origin. And usually vegans are all big supporters of other minorities, because they know true compassion. But sadly i am met so many LGBT people who claimed respect and yet didn't show respect. So it is quite difficult to be truly supportive. Last year i didn't go to pride day, didn't participate to any event and probably donated about 20 000 dollars to LGBT organizations (in the whole year), but i organized two fund raising to help animals and promote veganism and we manage to raise the equivalent of 3,5 million dollars which i was so glad to give away to support. I think that true compassion starts at home and that you can never claim it unless you are able to show it first, in every aspect of your life, starting with your plate.
This is the right attitude! As soon as we understand that all individuals who experienced being discriminated are more than the ones discriminating, there’s a solution. All we have to do is to take care of each other. I have to stand up for the right’s of a person of color who’s killed in the street bc of their skin color. I have to stand up for a woman who’s killed since she wanted to divorce. I have to stand up for an asian who’s killed bc a sick bastard “had a bad day” in Atlanta. I have to stand up for a woman who’s harassed bc of her hijab. I have to stand up for a transgender who’s burned in a car. Even though I am none of them above. We have to take care of each other. Love you Dominique! You’re such an inspiration to all of us.
This is so amazing, I haven't seen this until it was floating around on tumblr. That is right, cis people will respect us. They cannot just be tolerable and accepting.
We talk about love..but we forget about humanity 😻 I love this lady black transwomen face soooo much hate and brutality/fatality...it's women like u that make life so much better for women like me‼️ I love you💕

@@morganolfursson2560 Seriously, did you just equate trans people's struggle to veganism? You just brought trans people equal to animals. That's not right and you should know better.

I hate that people think we need to explain to them that we are humans. Where is the respect for humanity if we can’t love all parts of ourselves as humans? We are supposed to stand as one and be many. This human race would only benefit the closer we all become. When love is love and people learn it is not just a relationship between two people, it is also a relationship within oneself and everyone needs to respect the way we love ourselves so we can all love eachother equally. Spread this video to everyone you know. Just think about how she is a human explaining how to love other humans even though she’s been stepped and seen people just like her be murdered for doing absolutely nothing but existing. This is nothing but hidden form of racism for another difference the white humans don’t like. Spread love not hate with in yourself and others.
"You do not have the power to accept or tolerate me. I take that from you, you will respect me!" Marvel this is your next Storm.
