Fare 2nd Sitting (2S): Rs 295
First Class (FC): Rs 600

Super beautiful 👍👍👍
Excellent video friend .just like being there.
Thank you for watching 😊
Excellent vlog. Part1 and Part2 were compiled really well.i wonder why the gradient from Coonoor to Udhagamandalam isn't that steep
The ghat ends with coonoor and not upto udhagamandalam
From the beginning to the end, it was like me on that train. I think the guard on the front has brakes, just like the one in the locomotive. And it really requires coordination between the loco pilot and the guard, especially when it is driven in Reverse. Thanks Krishna, nice video.
Yes you are right! Thanks for watching 🙂
Nice video
Thanks 😃
What a journey. So scenic Almost trance like in its beauty.
The most wonderful thing about this video is that I can revisit it any number of times and each time it will reward me with a magic that will never fail to enchant me. Never fade away.
I had made this trip in 1970.
On that journey there had been hardly any one aboard . The pleasure of the journey was twice as much, as it allowed me to soak in silence, the grandeur of the blue mountains mystically scarved in wispy mists, the raw beauty of the plunging, craggy rock surfaces, and the eternal hush reigning across the jungle embraced slopes.
There was no habitation along its winding route, or any kind of vehicular traffic at level crossings, whose otherwise aggressive presence today produces a jarring dissonance.
The train was thankfully pulled by a small steam engine adding to the charm of the journey.
As it huffed and puffed it's way up the steep gradient bravely, , it allowed passengers to hop down from it and walk alongside , to gather fistsful of vibrant blooms which sprang in wild profusion from crevices and clefts.
Balanced on high ridges were colonies of monkeys , who trapezed from one tree branch to another in shrieking, hooting, chattering delight.
No other journey has replicated the wonder ,or joy, which I had experienced on that unforgettable trip by the Blue mountain train, decades ago!
Thank you for this lovely sequel to your earlier video on the NMR. Enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for watching 😃

Out of curiosity, please may I know, why for the onward journey from Coonoor to Ooty, the steam engine is replaced by the diesel engine?
And, instead of the engine pulling the rakes, is the engine attached at the rear and does the train push it up?
Or are there 2 engines? One in the front and the other in the rear?
Totally how many carriages are there and how many passengers can it take?
After viewing your video, I went on to read about the unsung heroes of the NMR, the station masters at Hillgrove and Ooty, the. daily trek Shri Kundan Singh has to make from Ichimaram to reach Hillgrove station up steep slopes through dense jungle, , crossing bridges (which also serve as protective cover for railway personnel when chased by wild elephants, ) and after crossing 3tunnels he finally reaches Hillgrove station. :astounding courage these men display, putting their lives on the line in the service of the Indian Railways
Mr Mohammed ASHRAF senior engineer for wagons and engine, Mr Jeyaraj tracks inspector, and Mr. Shankar overseer for maintenance and spare parts... Each in their own way, so proud to be part of this unique mountain railway, and serving the Railways in the best manner possible.
As enchanting as the train ride is, no less fascinating are the stories of these wonderful men and the sacrifices they make to make this journey memorable for the passengers who are privileged to travel by the fabulous Niligiri express train!
@@sarahp1383 As the gradient from Coonoor to Ooty is much lesser compared to Mettupalayam-Coonoor, a diesel locomotive is used. And for the trains from mtp to ooty, they are pushed all the way to reduce pressure on the couplers.
THANK you your videos
Good Trip bro and Happy for ur 1 K Subscription

Don't call them "#TOY_TRAIN" they are classified as "#Mountain_Railways_Of_India" by #UNESCO
Neelam+Giri both are Sanskrit
In Tamil Blue=Udha that is why it is called Udhagamandalam. #Ootacamund is #Toda language
#Nilgiri_Mountain_Railway is #Meter_Gauge not
#Narrow_Gauge. The #broad_Gauge train in #Mettupalayam is one of oldest mail/express called #Blue_Mountain now #Nilagiri_Express stated in 1862
