I would say That Bengaluru to Mysuru needs quadrupling very badly and Vande Metro trains run at 1 hour frequency intially and then increased to one every 45 minutes. There is so much passenger traffic and horrible congestion (despite the expressway) on the roads that this would be a boon. Agree that Land Acquisition would be cumbersome inside Bengaluru but railways can go vertical upto say Jnanabhaarathi

Earlier run with Diesel engine from Kachiguda to ksr Bangalore city station and loco change to electric wap 7l loco to Mysore and in return from Mysore to ksr Bangalore in electric engine and then loco change to Diesel engine and continue journey to Kachiguda
