- Before becoming a singer I was first of all a pianist, even a classical one. After recording the songs for my new album I had some extra time at the studio and prepared a small arrangement on the folk song "Shenandoah" , with a special thought and dedication for Peter Hollens who has recorded that song twice beautifully.

As a 50 year old beginner struggling along on piano, I can only say Thank You for this beautiful performance. That was amazing, almost impossible for me to believe somebody can play so fluidly and effortlessly with both hands.
I never realized how difficult piano, or hand independence, was until I started playing. I wish I had started young. 😔

I first heard this tune during childhood growing up in London, England. I think I must have heard it on an old western film? Anyway, now 67, I have loved it ever since. This is a excellent arrangement!

This is the best i have heard from out there. I started playing the piano and piece showed up but I didnt know how it sounded. I spent a week trying to count until it sounded ok and then searched for how it should sound. Dontou have sheet music for this? I would like to buy
No I'm sorry I don't , because all of my arrangements are partly improvized. This is my gift: I never play twice exactly the same, even though I also memorize a lot of what I'm doing. But writing would take me a huge amount of time and I don't need it. All my piano arrangements on my channel are partly improvized, and partly memorized. Thank you for your appreciation. Thank you for your appreciation, it means a lot to me!! I have many other piano solo videos, amongst which my own compositions and piano arrangements of pop songs. Most of them have been recorded with my phone, I would like some day to record all of these pieces in studio properly and release a piano solo album. Most of my life I was focused on singing, but I rediscovered my passion for piano.

Really lovely. Would you happen to have a transcription? One of my favourite songs ever, and I’m still a ways from being able to perform this arrangement, but I’d love to have it as something to aspire to.
Thank you so much :-) No I don't have any music sheet, I always play my own way after hearing the song I memorize the melody and then I try to find a nice arrangement while improvising. I can never play twice the same way. I also play my own pieces but they are all partly improvised. Please check them out if you'd like too (Resilience, Wind/Heaven, Romance, ...)

Thanks for your appreciation☺ There is no sheet music because when I play my own arrangements I try to remember the main elements in my head, and for the rest I improvise every time something slightly different...

Very nice. My favourite piano version is by Philip Aaberg. I can't explain what he is doing but the way he phrases the melody is very unusual, I think. ua-cam.com/video/Qo-XoSeqV64/v-deo.html
