I normally would identify significant processes then plot a flowchart upon client inquiry to track the flow of data through main transactions, then i would see what sort of controls they have set and add what could go wrongs in order to see the weaknesses in each control

Hi Dr. Amanda, I'm Jordan, a Malaysian & who's also an undergraduate student from one of the Malaysia 🇲🇾 prestigious universities! I really enjoy and like your video contents so much! Your explanations are much simpler than many of my lecturers could have! My audit lecturer has encouraged his students, including me but not limited to me, to watch your video for better understanding! Therefore, I've subscribed your channel! Thank you and I'll stay tuned for more contents again from you !! Appreciate!! 😄

In the quality arena we use risk assessment models to determine Process Risk and the need for control based upon Severity, Detection and Occurrence. The same approach could be deployed relative to financial controls, especially SOX. Using the tool could provide a "Risk Priority Number" or RPN as we refer to it. which would make it easy to identify those key areas which are most likely to present financial issues relative to material misstatement. In a 500 million dollar inventory for instance, Inventorying paper gaskets worth $70.00 us might not be relevant at all to the financial statement. However I have witnessed, auditors desire the counting of even trite volumes of inventory regardless of the severity of the risk occurring, simply because they don't understand RPN calculation.
Hello, I am CA Student from India. Thank you Amanda for making such videos, l am watching your video around a month now and It really helps me to clear my concept and understanding of the Audit. Now I do love Audit.
Hi Amanda, I'm very excited to watch your videos, it's very informative and resourceful,l. You know, I don't have an accounting skills however I have been working for a government institution in Timor Leste it's quite challenging during a year of work however your videos are very helpful and Informative.
This was so helpful. I'm a Control Assurance Analyst at bank, I test controls related to nonfinancial risks so they're not ICFR and don't necessarily have a bearing on the the accuracy of financial reporting/mistatements in financial statement. For example, controls for conduct risks, regulatory compliance risks, payments oversight risks, etc. Could you make a video tailored to Operational risks & Controls please. Thank you 😊
I'm very new to your channel and also new to Auditing, targeting more of I.T. Auditing space. Thank you for helping us learn. That sneeze is the highlight of the video 🤣🤣🤣🤣.....bless you!
